NIL Litigation

If you ever had any doubt that NIL has been pushed by agents and lawyers look no further than the class action filed on behalf of former players denied the ability to use NIL with over 4 Billion in damages sought... Just the tip of the iceberg of the new reality of college football.

Michigan high school football player makes no-look interception in state title game 🤯

...
Walker got his hands on the ball and batted it behind him as he came down. Walker then stuck his hands behind his back to somehow corral the football. He made one of the wildest interceptions at any level of the sport and returned it near the opposing team’s 10-yard line.

John Rhys Plumlee and baseball

I haven't watched the FS1 broadcast, but apparently the announcers said JRP would be "retiring" from baseball in order to focus on football and the draft.

JRP was asked this question on Monday and he sort of deferred (said he'd talk to his family about it) and repeated that again when asked after the game.

That being said, JRP focusing on football is something that has been circulating. I was very surprised because I felt JRP's pro prospects were in baseball.

I had also heard (a while ago) the San Francisco Giants wanted to draft JRP in July and were going to allow him to play football and join the organization in 2024, but JRP passed on their offer.

It's one week until the start of the regular season!

What's your outlook for UCF's inaugural season in the Big 12?

A year ago, I was in the 10-2 camp which would have happened had UCF not blown it against Navy. 10-2, then 11-1 were by far the most popular predictions.

The accurate pick (9-3) was selected by 10.7% of respondents.

Here are the previous prediction threads (we may have forgotten to do one in 2019).

2022
2021
2020
2018
2017

Vote in the poll and you can also elaborate on your prediction in a post. To make things less confusing, we'll just go with regular season record and not include a potential CCG or bowl game.

Here's the schedule:

Thursday, Aug. 31 - Kent State
Saturday, Sept. 9 - at Boise State
Saturday, Sept. 16 - Villanova
Saturday, Sept. 23 - at Kansas State
Saturday, Sept. 30 - Baylor

OT: Heartbreaking News (Sensitive)

On January 12, 2023 my son Carter Robert Jenson (19) passed away. The how and why at this point is time isn't important. As many of you know Carter was a scholarship member of the UCF Football video team and a paid employee for the athletics department. My wife , Irene, and I are devastated and heartbroken. I know this is an awful thing to have to share and this forum might seem odd. The Knight nation is wonderful and many of you I have meet but I can not reach out any other way. Many of you know my family as well. I know some information has surfaced and I wanted to thank you all for your grace and decorum through this time.

Carter was a happy and wonderful person that lite up any room. He LOVED UCF as much as I do. It was his passion and joy.

Please hug your kids and cherish every day. We are not guaranteed anything in life. Make the most of it and make sure you say "I love you" to those that need to hear it. Call your family and kids often. Have conversations, listen and love.

For any of those that want information on services and such you can DM me or text me and text me alone if you have my number. I know my wife's number has been posted. Please do not text her. She has not touched her phone since yesterday morning. Her sister is manning her phone.

With Love

James Jenson
