The UCF Knights cheerleading and dance teams will compete at the 2023 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship this weekend. The competition will be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports from Friday, Jan. 13 through Sunday, Jan. 15.
The Knights cheer team will be competing in the Division 1A Coed Division. Last year, the UCF cheer team recorded its 23rd finish in the top five at the UCA National Championships, taking fifth place. They last won this division in 2020, 2007 and 2003.
The Dance team will be competing in two divisions: Division 1A Hip Hop and Division 1A Jazz. The Knights have placed as high as fifth place in the jazz division. Last season, the dance team reached the finals in the hip hop division for the first time since 2014, placing seventh for its best all-time finish in the category.

I know there's plenty of time to make arrangements, but what road games do you think you'll attend? I'm still wondering though if the Boise game could be moved to Friday. The Mountain West hasn't released their schedule yet.
I just peaked at some of those 4 conf game weekends (especially the 3 non-Thanksgiving ones)....some hotels have jumped their prices (probably based on bookings) while others still have reasonable rates (still can find a $181 rate for Celeste for WVU Homecoming Weekend Fri-Sun).
Yes...these visiting teams will bring FANS...something UCF Fans fighting for hotel rooms never had to worry about before.
NOTE: Yes...some of these fans will stay out by the Theme Parks...but others will stay close to UCF.
The weekend of September 29-30, unless there's some other reason that rooms at the Celeste are priced at 10x all other weekends in the Fall?
Unless there's some other huge event going on that weekend it wouldn't surprise me if UCFAA gave a quiet heads up to the Celeste ahead of the official schedule release.
My cheapass will be staying across Alafaya for <$200
Marc Daniels all but came out and said UCF has an away game at OU this year. When asked by Bianchi, Daniels said we would have an
away game in the middle of the country at a place without a major airport ( OU area has a regional airport) and at a place that might be
named after your uncle ( Norman). Date announced when schedule released at 2:00
Figures vary greatly but, at the Power 5 level, most elite collectives say they are distributing $3 million to $5 million annually to athletes in their schools’ athletic departments. A small group of elite players, mostly elite returning quarterbacks or high-level QB recruits, are making seven figures, while another portion of high-level starters are pulling in low six figures. Experts say the vast majority of Power 5 football players are earning less than $100,000, and a baseline of $25,000 to $75,000 has emerged.
The release of our opponents for the 2023 season should happen any day now ( an email from the athletic dept on an unrelated matter said they expect it on or close to Dec 1).
9 mil/yr through 2028. Major payday and is set up for life. Happy for the guy. Still happy we were able to dump him and get a payday out of it. Something just seemed off that last year.
Thank you DW. The best AD in America. He saw the potential and found a way to press the reset button on his career.
Friscobull: I would try a 2 for 1 with one of the big 3, if that did not work out then bring in c, make it a game that will have the overflow areas packed and the atmosphere electric.
