Thanksgiving Dinner in Tampa?

Since family situation has changed recently with people getting married and moving away etc. It turns out it will just my wife, daughter and I having dinner this year. I really don't feel like cooking a huge meal for 3 people so we are going to go out to a restaurant. I found a very nice place in West Palm Beach that serves a nice buffet although not cheap at over $100/person. But since we are already planning on going to Tampa the next day we thought maybe we would go up to Tampa a day early and have Thanksgiving up there. Anybody have any recommendations for a nice Restaurant for Thanksgiving in Tampa. Preferably a buffet, but higher end, with nice appetizers, carving station, deserts etc.

New cut blocking rules have hurt Navy’s ability to execute the triple-option

Just read this. It's a deep-dive into new rule changes and what Navy is doing to adapt.

Excerpt from the Capital Gazette:

At this point, cut blocking has been reduced to offensive linemen being able to do so at the point of attack. They are only allowed to cut block defenders positioned along the line of scrimmage and can no longer do so on the second level.

Head coach Ken Niumatalolo said game tape clearly shows how defenders have adjusted to the new rule. He said opposing defensive backs and linebackers can pursue the ball with impunity because they no longer have to be concerned about being taken off their feet.

“We find secondaries being way more aggressive running downhill because they know they’re not going to get cut,” Niumatalolo said. “Probably the one spot that has stood out to me is the backside linebacker. If you look at most games, the backside backer makes a lot of tackles because, as he scrapes to the ball, he’s not worried about getting cut.”

That was not previously the case as linebackers playing against Navy always had to guard against being cut block by a center or guard working up to the second level.

“In years past, you’re playing with bent legs and are leery of linemen coming to cut you,” said Niumatalolo, who first noticed the change during the second game of the season as the Memphis backside linebacker was “hauling.”

NCAA proposed football rule changes for 2018

https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/...cid=ncaafbsocial_tw_sf183514364&sf183514364=1

The first one is a doozy:

  • The NCAA Football Rules Committee on Friday proposed altering the game’s kickoff rules to allow the receiving team to fair catch the kick inside the 25-yard line and have it result in a touchback.

The rest aren't so bad:

  • the offense will not be allowed to block below the waist when the block occurs more than five yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Additionally, other than the interior linemen, all blocks below the waist must be from the front.
  • After a touchdown, the play clock will be set at 40 seconds in order to expedite the extra point or two-point conversion attempt. Additionally, following a kickoff, the play clock will be set to 40 seconds in order to restart play more quickly.
  • The addition of a 10-second runoff was approved when instant replay overturns the ruling on the field inside of one minute in either half and the correct ruling would not have stopped the game clock.
  • The committee approved the continuation of a collaborative instant-replay decision-making model that is not limited to the press box in the stadium.
  • Leaping rules on field goals and extra points were adjusted to mirror similar rules dealing with leaping the shield on punting plays. It is illegal to leap over the frame of the body of an opponent.
  • On successful field goals, penalty enforcement will be the same as on made extra points. Namely, all personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct fouls by the defending team will have the option to be enforced on the ensuing kickoff.
