Way OT ....40 years ago this month

Bruce Springsteen released Nebraska . It is one of the top records I enjoy and perhaps truly his best album. It's stark and iconic and it's just simple , a guy and his guitar with a 4 track Teac cassette deck . I was 15 and taken back by the record when it was released .

A friend of mine ,an UCF alum at that, were talking back and forth today in text
I asked it's been 40 years what song or songs on that record tend to reflect your life thus far ,if at all.

I answered Reason To Believe and My Father's House .

If you hate Bruce, I get it, if you know this record and appreciate it , cool

In high school I was a huge Springsteen fan as I aged I appreciated his albums though several in the 2000s I just didn't agree with. However, his recent album Western Stars is absolutely amazing..

(OT) Need suggestions/Recommendations for Electric Powered Wheelchair for Dad

UCF Family, anybody have any recommendations for an electric powered Wheelchair? My Dad has been wheelchair ridden for the last 10 years and we haven’t found a good one yet. Looking for something light weight, can hold a 250 lb man, easily foldable, comfortable. Cost not a huge concern most importantly need something for the old man that’s comfortable. He currently has a Zinger which he doesn’t like! Every game it’s a struggle getting him in and about and he’s my responsibility so I want to ensure he has something he likes.
Thanks

A Motivated Malzahn

ain't nothin' to f*ck with. Whenever Gus played Alabama or Arkansas, he always brought his A game. These two games always seemed to mean more and bring out the best in Gus.

Wednesday's SMU game will no doubt have special meaning to Gus. Rhett Lashlee played and coached for Gus, and Malzahn has never faced a former assistant as a head coach.

Gus's and Rhett's profressional relationship soured after Rhett assumed play calling duties in 2016 and developed running back Kamryn Pettway into the SEC Player of Year. It is rumored the two clashed over credit for the offensive turnaround. H*ll hath no fury like a Gus scorned.

I think UCF covers, but I would take the under no way the two combine for 65.

fund established for UCF students impacted by hurricane

Matching up to $25,000
Some UCF Knights have been especially affected by Hurricane Ian, requiring emergency relief to help them continue their studies at UCF. Donations will provide immediate relief for students or employees who are housing and food-insecure, or who need emergency funding to get through temporary difficulties.

Every dollar will be matched up to $25,000 by Carrie Daanen '92 Chair, UCF Foundation Board of Directors.

Thank you for your generosity.

UCF College of Business Dean's Speaker Series: College Athletics Conference Realignment

I've joined some of these COB Dean's Speaker Series events in the past and they've always been very entertaining. This one caught my attention given the topic, so I thought I'd share here in case there are others that might be interested as well. Unfortunately, living in Clearwater, I'm not able to make as many of these as I'd like (and I can't make this one).

These game threads are starting earlier and earlier. By the time the game actually starts, we’re already 3-4 pages deep

In honor of @omg_jk 's comments from last week, I am starting this thread extra early this gameday.

Let's get this started early so we can get 3-4 pages deep. It's not like anyone is getting any work done today anyways!
