would eat Little Debbies and m*sterbate to cut ups UCF's red-zone secondary play last night.

As a former high school DB coach, I am not certain I have ever seen that many contested 50-50 balls get batted away in one hame. The two pass interference calls were atrocious as well.

UCF cannot reproduce the magic in the secondary. You can pull cut ups from games for the next five years and nothing will come close to last night.

NFL Draft experts will pull plays from this SMU game to highlight these DBs when they declare. The "in-phase" DB play in one-on-one coverage was that good.

I thought this post was worthy of its own thread.

From the Peanut Gallery: Revisiting Milton in the First Half of the 2018 Peach Bowl

Short Version: Everyone needs to chill on Plumlee

I love Milton. He will forever go down as the first, undefeated GOAT of UCF QBs. But as the endless Plumlee criticism doesn't seem to end, just like I defended Keene last year -- by comparing him to Milton of 2016 -- I think everyone has to remember Milton during the first half of the 2018 Peach Bowl.

Lots of poor throws, utterly missed, wide open receivers, and so many other issues. As Frost said at the half (paraphrased), "Needed to calm down." A late TD in the first half really made the difference too. And then we had the second-half. I'm honestly tired of the expectations of perfection.

Especially out of our transfers in their first few games running into their first few challenges. It takes years to mesh with the rest of the team. Plumlee is improving and getting better.

New top three coming for Georgia 2023 three-star OC Gabe Fortson

Overall recruiting update with a new top schools list expected to drop on Saturday:

The Crazy-Talk Crowd

If you leftists were any dumber, your IQs would freeze water.
It's been fascinating to watch the evolution of the conservative movement into the crazy-talk crowd over the past 30 years. Their latest trend is to project the criticism they receive right back on the people criticizing them. Yeah boy, those "lefties" are SO damn dumb. (cue the 'How Dumb Are They?' response)
They believe climate change is real!!! Har har har!
They believe Trump tried everthing legal -- and illegal -- to stay in power!!! Har har har! (We all know he had the election STOLEN from him, right?)
They believe Americans should be allowed to live their lives without 'government' interference!!! Har har har! (Geez, I could've sworn that's The Mantra for all true-blue Conservatives? I guess it just depends on who you are.)

I was listening to "Patriot" Radio the other night on Sirius and had my eyebrow raised more than a few times by the host's declaration that "those lefties" just don't share The Values of her and her listeners. But when she went on to describe those values as their 'love and concern for one another,' I could've driven off the damn road!!! LOVE and CARE for one another??!? This is the same woman I've heard before on the air...defend Trump over and over and bash the critics as fake news agents....bash the LGBTQ community for 'pushing their agendas' on them...attack asylum seekers as "illegal" immigrants...and defend the anti-abortion zealots who want to control the lives of all women. Yikes!

I believe the ying/yang of American politics that goes all the way back to Hamilton vs Jefferson has served us well over the past 250 years. But (IMO) the voice of the 'yang' has been replaced by crazy talk. But the Rightwing media industry is heavily invested (to the tune of billions of dollars) in keeping half of this country's conservative-leaning people in their camp no matter how radical their hyperbole gets.

In Search of Popcorn Guy From Last Night’s Game

Hi all

I observed the most wonderful bit of whimsy at last night’s game

Section 110, 14th ish row

An older man was just absolutely flinging popcorn at folks when no one was looking. It went on for the entire game, and was hilarious. Multiple fans walking around with popcorn in their hair not noticing, some I assume pissed off but through it all the fella just keep tossing popcorn

it was shockingly bad / hilarious behavior and I am dying to learn what this maniac’s deal was. He fed a guy on his row popcorn, like direct hand to mouth!

do you post here sir? Unmask yourself, and answer for your hilarious deeds. The legend of popcorn guy will live in my family - we absolutely loved you introducing chaos in to last night’s game. Thanks for being a bit of levity when we kind of plodded along through the first half

(also- special thanks to @UCFhockey77 for helping me get my pancreatic cancer fighting brother to his first UCF game in comfort, cannot thank you enough sir. He had a blast and was so impressed by our fans and environment, even on a slow crowd day)

Crowd shots of SMU vs UCF

Not a bad crowd for a twice rescheduled midweek game.

Was slightly surprised how many people showed up in the SC and props to the students who turned out even though there was basically zero tailgating for this game. (Felt more like a basketball game where you just show up).

Hope almost ALL can make the Temple game next Thursday...as I believe campus should be back to their regular midweek game schedule by shutting down campus at 2 pm to allow tailgating for ALL.

PS. Heard a few at halftime leaving because some in the party were cold (i.e. wore tanktops, flipflops, etc...). More need to read the game day weather forecast so they will be prepared next time. ;)

Bend, But Do Not Break, Good Sir!

If you look at UCF’s defense it’s the definition of bend, but don’t break. 13th in the country in points allowed. Yet, 46th in total yards.

“Are they sneaking by with lots of turnovers?”

No, sir. 72nd there (always something I look for as a high TO ratio could suggest fortunate “ball bounces”).

“But Hoopingknight51, they have to do something good - tell me, how’s their RUSH defense?”

Not great! 65th there, ole chap.

“Fine, they must have an amazing pass defense.”

Nah, sure don’t, compadre. It’s sort of meh, although in grade school they’d be considered “above average” and maybe get a B, perhaps a B-. Snowflakes. Pass defense is 46th.

“Wow, I got to be honest, I was extremely annoyed by the constant, repetitive, ‘bend but don’t break’ commentary from you last night, but it sure looks like you were on to something.”

I like to stay humble, but right you are.

Here’s a fun one. UCF is #1 in red zone defense in the country. Numero uno. Read it and weep, slime.
