College Baseball teams are cancelling late OOC games to improve/preserve RPI

This is an interesting trend. As we're approaching the final week of the college baseball regular season, teams are starting to cancel games for RPI purposes:
Texas A&M cancelled a midweek vs. Incarnate Word because IW is terrible and they want to preserve RPI in hopes of hosting a NCAA Regional.
Ole Miss just swept LSU, which got them back into the bubble with a No. 38 RPI, and really needs to play well vs. Texas A&M this weekend (as in, finish with a winning SEC record). So Ole Miss just canceled a road game at Arkansas State. A win wouldn't do anything, only tax available arms, and a loss could doom their NCAA chances.
Liberty also just cancelled a game vs. High Point. Liberty should be the favorites to win the A-Sun Tournament and the automatic bid, but they could be a borderline at-large team if not. Their RPI is currently 40 and High Point is sub-200.
