Nearly everyone in this country thinks that Biden fuked up royally to address inflation properly and more timely yet Shookster is here to white knight for Biden while down on his knees. Just incredible.

Dude is a total mindless useful idiot who was told that being a zealot might get him early release from his “involuntary resort”.

Biden said that inflation was 9% when he took office when in fact it was 1.4 % and rose to 9%.

How can you not know these basic numbers and be the POTUS?

Many folks -- me included -- were very concerned about what this coming recession could do to the stock market. But...it hasn't happened. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but it sure looks like we've safely navigated the post-pandemic storms.

Yet we've got people like Ucfmikes who bitches and moans without a fcuking clue how we've dodged a bullet.

I don't think Trumps conviction will hurt him much. He raised 53 million after it was announced. The True trumpsters and many not Tumpsters Think these charges are BS, and Those who are really celebrating the conviction already hated him.
The reality we are in (barring the Dems replacing Biden at the convention) is one of these old crooks are going to be running the show. Either way the country is screwed.

For the sake of discussion, what made the charges against Trump bullsh*t? I'm trying hard to wrap my head around what part of his 34 felony convictions were bullsh*t.

Did Trump and the National Inquirer publisher NOT cook up a scheme to 'catch and kill' all the Stormy Daniels-like stories that would harm his election chances?

Did Trump NOT have an affair with Stormy Daniels and attempt to hide it by having his fixer pay her off?

Did Trump's fixer, Michael Cohen, NOT go to prison for fixing the problem and lying about it back when Trump was the Prez?

If your answer is 'you can have an affair, its not illegal,' I'd agree with you. But when you illegally try to cover it up to bolster your election chances, that's a different story. It's no different than when Nixon tried to cover up the Watergate break-in of the DNC HQ back in the day.

This trial was yet another opportunity for the GOP to come to their senses and dump the idiot before they lose again. Instead, they doubled down on their stupidity by sucking up to Trump yet again by following his lead and trashing our judicial system.

We've seen how conservatives have been trying to bring politics into our courts, particularly the Supreme Court. But our judicial system was designed from the get-go to be impartial. FWIW, the jury in Trump's trial was selected by BOTH the prosecution and the defense.

Hell, the jury included people who said they got their news from Trump's Truth Social and Fox News. Frankly, that info gave me pause at the time because I thought their inclusion might lead to a hung jury. But they swore to be impartial and make their decision based solely on the evidence---and clearly they did.

During his summation, Trump's lawyer lauded his jury for the serious way they'd conducted themselves during the lengthy trial. Of course, AFTER the verdict, he told Fox News those 12 jurers were horribly biased. Ooooooookay. :rolleyes:

Guess what? In a two-party system, if the GOP continues their behavior, where will that lead our country?
