Can we stop trying to say with 100% certainty that there was some political motivation to the shooting one way or another. Based on the info coming out, it just seems like he was a bullied loner who was never accepted and developed mental health issues from that. Seems like he just wanted to prove a point that he could do something noteworthy and was willing to sacrifice his life for it due to his now warped view on reality.
Even the whole thing about how he donated to “act blue” is now debunked, as it turns out that appears to have been a 69 year old democrat with the same name. Just because he targeted Trump doesn’t mean it was overtly politically motivated.

Would be dumb if true. A VP pick is supposed to be a net positive to the electoral chances, I.e. use the VP spot to target a weak spot in polls

I don't get it either. He is from a state they are already going to win, and not sure how appealing he will be outside the maga base, which Trump already has locked up.
I will say though, the race is going to be tight regardless, at least the popular vote, maybe not the EC, we will see if Trump can do what he did in 16 and basically sweep the swing states, but it's going to be a tight race.

I didn’t say Biden wasn’t losing and this poll is completely before . The morning consult at least included the Sunday after. And a lot of the upcoming polls will include the typical Convention bump.
My point was about Biden(and Trump) . He has an exit ramp bc his age and won’t take it. And if you believe polling how do you explain Senate Democrats polling so much better than him? There is a case to be made that only they could lose to each other. A massive gamble by Biden and for his legacy.
