She clarified during the 2020 campaign that she supported the police---Hell, she was once a chief prosecutor and California's Attorney General. Its easy to understand why. Scroll back a 100 pages to 2018 and you'll notice a wide variety of posters came here to have serious and/or light-hearted discussions on a wide variety of topics, including hit TV shows.
We got into a rut during the pandemic when a flood of anti-virus twitter posts prompted justifiable ridicule. But since then, ridicule has become the norm for everything which has led us to today. It's hard to understand why anyone, particularly avowed UCF fans, would want to see this forum trashed. I was struck by how the conservative talk show host tried to mimic the same talking points you hear from the Dems. The host today was telling his listeners to get out and vote because if you don't...(cue drumroll)....it will be the End of our Democracy.
My reaction was, Huh? Where the hell is THAT coming from?
He went on to say that the left-wing extremists that took over the party from Biden (funny how he went from "Dementia Joe" to the poor victim of a coup) want to finalize their efforts to turn our beloved nation into a Godless, socialist haven where everybody gets a say, except us. (Except Us?)

I was in my van listening to Patriot Radio when the host breathlessly announced that they were going to go LIVE to a Trump campaign stop at a conference of Black journalists. It was the wildest damn thing I'd ever heard. I was lucky I didn't drive off the road in hysterics when Trump started talking about when Harris 'turned black.'
The channel kept it going for a few more minutes before the host broke in and announced they were going to have to leave their live reporting.

Trump said a month or so ago that he'll get Whelan and the other Americans out of Russia once he was reelected Prez. At the time, a lot of folks decried Trump's public announcement. It was in Putin's best interests to negotiate with Trump. So, that meant there wouldn't be any prisoner swaps with Russia until after November.
The fact that it happened now indicates that Putin was seeing Trump's chances tanking and made the calculation that it would be in his best interest to work out a deal now.
