We are in violent agreement. I don't think it will happen either. But it could. History has proven that. And history has proven it starts this exact same way:
1) Separate people into groups of "us" and "them"
2) Denigrate the "them" (thugs, animals, dogs, vermin, etc) <----we are here
3) ID the "thems" with physical depictions
4) Separate the "thems"
5) Exterminate the "thems"
There is no factual reason to deny that we are starting along this path and that it is a possibility. Hell even his literal running mate called him Hitler.
That fact alone is enough to disqualify Trump. Combine it with his blatantly undemocratic reaction to the last election and it's an easy no brainer.

I agree w this but Vance cancelled out a good night w the 2020 Election answer at the end. VP debates don’t have the same effect as the top of the ticket. mostly a wash and won’t change much.

Yeah he lies but he did it in a smooth way which Trump can’t. but that also can be off putting to some voters if it comes off that he is mansplaining. tonight was more of an attempt to improve his favorables for 2028 if Trump loses. Walz was great in the 2nd half.
Walz's China answer was bad, and JDs election denial answer was bad. Beyond that I think they were both OK, nothing overly great, but probably didn't hurt themselves either. It was kind of nice to see people actually have a real debate. Definitely a contrast to any debate Trump has ever been involved in.
It was a shockingly civil debate. There were several times where both of the candidates agreed with one another and had empathy. I thought in the end, Vance probably came out on top because people had such low expectations for him, and he proved himself well.
Vance came out on top? He got pissed that he was fact-checked on his illegal Haitian immigrants invading Springfield claim. He blatantly lied about never supporting a national abortion ban. He told people with a straight face that President Trump 'saved' Obamacare. I kid you not. And he ending the thing by avoiding the simple question of who won the last POTUS election.
Do you need a Q-tip? I said probably since the expectations were so low. Even the focus groups on CNN said as much.

Good debate, I thought Vance won but Waltz did just fine. It was the most civil debate in a long time. VP debates almost never matter, and this one won''t move the needle either way. Both acted like adults and more than capable of taking over if needed.

One of the things the focus groups on CNN said was that they wished that they could move these two to the top of the ticket and make Mamala and Trump the VPs.
