BOWL GAMES CHAT

Milton didn’t exactly light it up in the 1st half against Auburn.
This first drive of the 2nd half is going to tell everything for how the game is gonna go for Cincy.
Fail….FG. That’s not going to cut it.

1. UCF
2. Houston
3. Cinci

With a W, for sure they surpass Houston but still no major bowl win for Cinci in all their long history of football. Sad for the team, G5 too, but at least their toxic fans can suck it, and I don't see how this doesn't hurt Cinci recruiting. No major bowl wins in their history, huge loss in playoffs, coach Fickell is leaving them, Ridder gone, wtf would you go to Cinci over UCF in the next couple of years?!

I think I heard them say Cincy has 30 seniors on this team. Will definitely lose RB Ford and CB Gardener to the NFL also, curious to see what kind of team they field next year.
They will definitely take a big step back.

Way to embarrass us UC.....
They beat Georgia by 17 a month ago. Cincy wasn’t embarrassed. Losing to the machine is not embarrassing. I will say, though, they just didn’t do anything today. They made zero plays when needed.

Idk that was embarrassing and I was certainly rooting for them & expected much better than that. Feel bad for them actually.

Alabama now won 6 straight semi final games. With 4 of those wins where they gave up 7 or less points (vs. Clemson, Washington, Michigan State). Foolish for anyone to think giving Saban a month to prepare his team isn't a huge advantage vs. Any other program on the country.

If Fickell pulled off the unthinkable in beating a prepared Saban. (Only Urban Meyer has done it). He would have earned a $100 million contract from some school.

What's going on with our German....we gonna play him eventually? I think he's a junior next year? Saw this man up close, he's a giant.
I’d like to see him line up at tackle on the goal line in a tackle eligible formation. Have him fake a block, step over the line and qb tosses it high to him. If I remember correctly, he was a rugby player so he’s athletic for a guy that size. No 5’10” safety’s going to out jump him!!!

Did he complete 2 passes over 10 yards tonight? Mikey Keene would have played better
Yeah. They pussed out. They didn’t challenge them down the field at all. I only saw the one deeper throw tried in the 4th quarter. It’s one thing to lose. It’s another to lose and then kind of know you didn’t even try to challenge them. I was not expecting Cincy to play so conservatively the entire game.

Scored no touchdowns

Had the lowest number of total yards in a half of ANY invitational game

Allowed like 800 rushing yards (seemed like that anyway)

IT WAS DEFINITELY EMBARRASSING.....

Twitter says Cincy is 0-4 in BCS/CFI games?
I only see 0-3 but maybe they are 0-4. Back in the 2000’s they played in a couple of BCS bowls when Brian Kelly was the coach. 2008 they lost the Orange Bowl. 2009 they lost the Sugar Bowl. They lost the Cotton Bowl today.

2009 was a crazy season. The final BCS poll had 5 undefeated team. Bama and Texas played for the BCS title (Bama won). Cincy was #3. TCU was #4, and Boise State was #6. Cincy lost to #5 Florida. In one of the biggest puss-outs in college football history they made TCU and Boise play each other, because they very obviously did not want to give those two teams the opportunity to beat two P5 programs.

Lost in the Peach bowl last year to Georgia

Michigan is going to get punked like 42-10 at this rate but I’d bet $100 all the talking heads on sports talk radio next week will talk about no G5 school ever getting an opportunity to play in the CFI again, yet ignore the fact Michigan probably gets destroyed.

Anyone else disinterested in watching the Georgia vs Alabama rematch? Great for the players and Alumni but I have to think ratings will suffer.
I probably won’t watch it. I just don’t care about watching the ass-kissing session for a week preceding up to it either…..but….to their credit they just keep winning. Someone has to step up and beat them.
