I learned my lesson from the first rankings. We're not getting any love from this committee and beating SMU won't help much.

Techinically youre right, but when the broadcasters during the game with SMU kept bringing up if we would be more impresive with a win over 4-4 Ga Tech and ignoring our win over a 6-2 FIU team, then read between the lines.

Apparently if you suck but your in a power conference you don't really suck. And if you're good and in a non power conference it's because you play nobody.

I'm a proponent of our conference beating P5 teams - especially since were the best of our conference right now - and we did by beating Maryland, but how much more consideration do you get by beating a .500 Ga Tech team. If we win that, would not be surprised if they diminish that win too.

G5 teams have beaten enough P5 teams over the last few years now for this "they play nobody" garbage to be put to rest.
