My prediction is that UCF will have a stadium expansion, before USF builds their OCS.

GOL did the hard lifting by building a foundation of a potential top level program.....that took years, and he stayed around to complete that vision.
usf never built a foundation, they just started by decorating the penthouse because they didn't have to work for anything. Then it all fell down into the Genshaft.

Pretty funny stuff over there. ArmyBull seems to be the only intelligent person on that thread. I read a few other Knight related threads (they like to call us “Kinigits”). Those folks are clearly delusional and I almost feel sorry for them.

Their idiocy in failing to invest in their program, and making fun of us for an IPF (which everyone else in Florida followed suit) and then an OCS, was just self-defeating. They refuse to read the engineering analysis post-improvements with our OCS. They just assume what they want, or worse, think they can afford $40M IPFs and $300M stadiums.
It's really sad because UCF fans wanted USF to remain strong. The 2017 rivalry game proved that. When we were both ranked (USF in AP-only, UCF in both AP & CFP), it was definitely watched. But ... alas, the Cows cannot get their own head out of their own way. And, thus ... they suffer as a result. They can be AP Top 25, and still won't get the crowds we do at 0.500!
Big 10 Invite, Like Big East, Will "Leave 'c.' Behind"

It's even more laughable that they think we've raided Academics for Athletics, when we keep them 100% separate via UCFAA, Inc., unlike them. They're the ones raiding their 'general fund,' not us! Yes, we don't have the same endowment as they, and they think they're special ... but they are not academically superior to us, much less in sports graduation rates!
And the biggest joke is that they keep telling themselves they have to get a better conference invite than us, and their Academics will get them to the Big 10 ... like the Big East before. They were the bottom of the Big East academically! At some point, you just have to finally shake your head and say, "Fine! You don't want us as a rival. We get it! You could have been in the Big XII with us, but even that you're making fun of now."
Their fans downplaying the Big XII invite is just the proof.
FAU-like Athletic Village, Stadium, But Bigger, "Not Like UCF's"
I don't think there's a more delusional fanbase, and definitely not in Florida! Heck, they even talk about FAU's athletic village and stadium, which are a 60-70% scale version of ours, from some of the same developers! They are in the biggest case of denial of all-time. They literally are that ignoran ... just that massively ignorant!
I mean ... many still believe they lead the all-time series! Yes, I couldn't believe it myself after last year, much more now!
Many last year didn't know we tied it up, and now it's 7-6! More than one thought they beat us 5-6 times before we beat them. No, that was Florida over FSU, not USF over UCF. It's amazing how they don't even know their own history! But that's typical with USF fans ... not just versus UCF, but in general, their own program!

Florida Is Becoming More of a Rival ... By Their Own Choice!
It's not what we UCF fans wanted, but between Florida sucking in 2013 and 2017, both years when we finished AP Top 10 ... and now after this game, I think Florida is slowly building into our rival. They're just as close as USF, and we took the Orlando media market away from them after 2010 and definitely by 2013.
USF wanted Florida, FSU and Miami as a rival. Nope, not happening. "You gotta play the best ..." (blah, blah, blah) Well, we do too. And here's the reality ...
Florida having to start kicking players off of their teams because of off-the-field issues, as the Orlando media ripped them a new one over and over, "See, UCF is finishing AP Top 25 -- then Top 10 -- and not having the same issues," really destroyed Gainesville most, and made Gator fans hate 'clean program' UCF.
I live in the heart of SEC Country, and even Gators here admit UCF is becoming an issue. The arrests difference was the spark, especially as they lost Orlando to UCF. Unlike Tallahassee and Miami, the Gators just have the state, not a single city any more, once they lost Orlando. It's definitely why they hate us most.

But if you ask any Cow ... they'll ignore their arrests and graduation issues, and assume we have academic issues or other things. They are so clueless. They think we have the 'problematic' program, not themselves. They'll ignore all their academic, fiscal and other issues, despite us being leaps'n bounds ahead of them academically, let alone fiscally.

All because they have more of an endowment. That's it! UCF's entering freshmen SAT scores and grades are higher than USF, they have been for decades. We have far more Rhodes Scholars, and take a lot of engineering, cyber and other contests versus both UF and USF. But ... they have that endowment, so it doesn't matter, right?!

Miami, the On-the-Edge Power Program
USF fans really don't get it that Championships really build a fanbase. Even Miami fans are envious of how many fans show up to the games when we're not even ranked. It's been nearly 2 decades since they finished AP Top 10, and UCF has finished as many times AP Top 10 (more AP Top 11) than Miami has AP Top 25, the past decade.
Miami's record against ranked teams is abysmal, 1 out of the last 20+. UCF is around 50% now, over a dozen contests.
Miami would kill to have our fan support, and only USF would kill more. Neither have an OCS, and Miami only moved farther away. Even Kirk Herstreit pointed this out this year on College Gameday, neither Miami nor USF have an UCF-like gameday atmosphere. Sigh ... they really don't understand college sports at all. Even Hurricanes realize they are on-the-edge of being a Power program, especially with their recruiting suffering and being no better.
Cow fans act like that Big 10 invite is all they need ... but they feel so entitled, because of that Big East invite without doing anything before.

Like us, they tried to get the head of ESPN graphics to 'brand' USF like we have UCF. But unlike us, they have not finished AP Top 10 or won a major bowl ... earning that right. So they finally embraced 'South Florida' as their branding -- with 'S. Florida,' 'South FL' and other abbreviations -- because ... well, ESPN forced them to.
We've always been UCF to everyone in-state. We just earned the 'branding' with CBS, NBC, ESPN and others universally after 2013, let alone select programs College Gameday before that. So ... let them do what they wish. Same with their endowment that gets them 'preeminent' status. In fact ...
If there's a difference between UCF and 'South Florida,' it's this ...
When UCF accomplishes something worthy, South Florida fans downplay it.

Because UCF is only lacking the endowment amount for 'preeminent' status, Dr. Hitt started the push to getting people to fund academics when they fund athletics. South Florida has a 'common pool' they can pull from, donor-wise, whereas UCF does not with UCFAA, Inc.
We'll be there before the end of this decade. That's when South Florida fans will see their heads explode.
UCF is different. Always has been. We have always been the red headed stepchild and we have reveled in that. Unlike the cows we have embraced our status, supported our team even when we sucked and programs had passed us by. We created our own brand of fandom. Nothing was given to us and we have scraped and clawed for every bit of respect and success. Our fandom is GENUINE, not manufactured. I believe this is a big part of our success. It stands against everything that college football has accepted for the last 40 years. Our bare bones stadium, our national championship, our 0-10 seasons, our rise through the different divisions, our wonky mascots, our space tradition, our insistence that it is all about us. We are that gif that has the wrestler beating down the door. The cows hate this. They want to measure themselves against the traditional standard because they spent a few years with the big boys. They see us as hillbillies with no couth, not playing by the rules. Well screw that! We are loud and proud because, as Lou Corso said, We don't give a $h1t. Do not give into that mindset that thinks we should be like UF or FSU or any blue blood. Keep that chip on your shoulder.
UCF has better support than any fanbase in Florida, sans Florida itself, the past 5 years. FSU has been slipping up badly as of late ... although Norvell has brought up some.
Miami and USF are way, way behind. They can be ranked AP Top 25 and not have many butts in stands. Miami has to be undefeated and ranked AP Top 10 to see more fans.
Honestly their demise is kind of sad. They could make a documentary on it except for their peak lasted about 15 seconds. Would be a short film.

This is one of the many hilariously juvenile things about those weirdos. They constantly talk about building all these facilities as long as they’re “better” than FAU or UCF. The petty jealousy that oozes out of those posts are so great.
In that case, I think they should build a stadium… and then they realize it’s too expensive to maintain, and so they shut down the football program because of it. Maybe they can just rent it out for bowl games and we can come in and sell it out for them
