Delicious Bull Tears Mega Thread

the way its going this may be a conference game by then
As much as I’d miss being in a conference with Miami, who we have a long football history with, UCF might be the better conference partner long-term. Although Miami is an AAU institution, UCF is a very young university with a booming alumni base and lots of potential.

their latest move is to make fun of the Big12 as a weak league that they don’t want to join anyway
Brilliant strategy! Tell the B12 you don’t want to be in their crummy league. That’ll make Yormack come begging but it won’t help, since the B1G or SEC are going to fight each other so SFU doesn’t get snagged by the other! ACC is out of the picture since they’re gone as soon as Clemson, FSU, and UNC take off. And they will, because even if they could renegotiate, it won’t come near SEC/B1G.

I’ve said it before, but my dream scenario for Big12 expansion next round is 4 ACC teams if/when FSU/Clemson/UNC/Virginia leave (all seems to point to those teams):

- Pitt is probably 1 or 2
- Louisville is 1 or 2
- GT is 3
- Miami I think might have nowhere to go and would be my 4th pick.

VT and NC State would be ok, but I prefer the other 4 listed above.

Since we’re on the subject of Big 12 expansion and Pitt:

Back in the late 2000s when the ACC was last expanding, the basketball schools wanted Syracuse (who was supposed to have joined in the 2003 raid) and UConn, while the football schools wanted Louisville and West Virginia. In the event Pitt didn’t receive an invite to the ACC, we were going to receive an invite to the Big 12. In the end, everyone compromised and Pitt and Syracuse were the ‘winners.’

Had Pitt joined the Big 12 alongside WVU, Louisville would’ve also joined to get the conference back to 12 members. The long-term ramifications of that would’ve been interesting. OU and UT still leave, and there would’ve been two possible outcomes from there:

1) The Big 12 stays at ten members until Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah become available
2) The Big 12 only expands to BYU and UCF before the Pac-12 raid went down; you and the Cougs bring the most value among the four initial additions, IMO

This makes my head hurt. All I can say is I'm glad UCF is in "safe" spot for now. Things can quickly change given what we've seen in the past couple weeks. I hope the ACC stays together for the sake of college football.

yeah those 4 would be best. the first two for cincy and wvu and the other two for us.

Sorry for any potential confusion. Just saying that Pitt has been linked to the Big 12 for some time now, and it’d be interesting if we eventually ended up in the conference.

I like the list except for Miami. Why dilute a recruiting area that we’re starting to dominate? Also, their fans are a-holes! I would rather add Virginia Tech or NC State, because both would also add new recruiting areas and have good fans.

scUM fans are indeed coke head, filthy, gutter trash. Thank God they are few in number.

Ironic since the song on the first video is "Land of confusion" when every time I visit the bull crap forum all I see is a "Land of Delusion".

Duh Bulls are just entitled delusional fans. It's not their aspirations I can't stand , it's their entitlement. They have never won anything of significance and yet they are ACC bound, though nobody else is talking about them. It's my hope UCF wins a Big XII title long before the duh bulls move anywhere.

If the ACC blows apart the more I think about it I would love Miami to get left behind . I doubt that it will happen though. The media insist they exist like in 2008 the media insisted Chevy not go under . 😆.

I couldn't disagree more about Miami. I get the sentiment. I'm an old Sooner/Razorback- from childhood. No love for Miami. But if Miami ended up in our conference that would be huge for us. Not saying the Big 12 would be able to put up a forcefield around the state of Miami, but I think we would benefit from being able to recruit that area even better than we have in the last 10 years. Dade/Broward county is the most fertile recruiting ground in the entire country. If we could tie into those grounds, combined with central FL up through South GA, that would make us a national player almost year in and year out. An annual rivalry game with ScUM would be far greater than the war on I-4. The Turnpike Trophy. I like it. I mean we might not win that every year, unlike the War on I-4. It could be a real rivalry.

I have to disagree, respectfully. Miami is a usf in disguise. No fans, crap stadium in middle of opa-locka. Anyone can recruit miami because even miami kids know that is a poverty program with a lousy college feel.

As for tv, people who live in Miami/broward/dade watch UF,FSU,Ucf. Miami only when theyre winning.

UCF adds the South Florida market. No need to muddy it with ponzi scheme u

UCF is basically the SF state school for the kids. Even when I went in the early 2000s it was full of SF students, now even more so. They don’t go to Miami as it’s a small private school and FAU/FIU is too close and not cool, not a true college vibe.

However that aside, I also agree that the Big12 should scoop up Miami if an option. It’s a no brainer - lock up FL, new rivalry that most assured would be full of hate, open additional recruiting (for Big12, not UCF), another name brand on East Coast, nice “travel partner” (we currently are on an island). It makes sense, and the fact we hate them, well we hate usf more so better Miami than seeing usf getting elevated.

I had never heard of UCF until 93 when friends were going there. I went in 95. UCF was definitely the more popular choice. I didn’t know anyone that went to USF. Unfortunately quite a few of my friends kids are going there now though.

And those SF graduates will be homeless soon.

Do you follow them? I never see anything USF related. I think Barstool reps think you’re supposed to be annoying. Ours is too.
No I don’t follow them but they sometimes come up in my “For You” feed. It’s usually when they are bickering with UCF that I see them.

However, I’ve seen them fighting with FAU, UAB, Charlotte, UNT fans talking about how much better they are and are leaving the AAC. The new AAC member fans have been owning them, it’s good content.

this is spot on. UCF has a pipeline from Boca and Coral Springs but seems like lately a bunch of Tampa people are now going to UCF too.

I have noticed that FAU is getting more popular around the State

The irony of their AAU Academic smack talk: it is more difficult to get into UCF and FSU

Yeah FAU is pretty popular in S Florida now too. Boca is Centrally located in between West Palm and Ft Lauderdale. Not far from Miami. Beaches close. Probably pretty easy to get into but not positive on that.

Yea....78% currently. Not quite 13th grade, pencil and a pulse admissions criteria, but close. Likely this number will go down soon....it's an up and coming University with a lot going for it.
