I understand that Scott is a confident guy and thinks he can win anywhere. I get that Nebraska fans think their history alone proves they can be successful now and going forward. That's why he is probably going to go.
But I think 5 years from now, UCF will be in an even better place and Nebraska will just be winning 8-9 games a year again. There is a reason nearly all the national champions for the last 20 years have come from the southeast. The only ones that haven't are Ohio State with 2 & USC, Texas, Oklahoma with one. 15 from the southeast, 1 from Ohio, 1 from Cali and 2 comprised of almost all Texas recruits. Nebraska isn't getting those players. Factor in they now have to compete, recruiting wise, with Matt Campbell at Iowa State and it's even worse.
Frost will do better than Riley, but he wont do any better than Solich or Pelini. And if he hasn't won the Big 10 by year 3, despite what their fans say, they will run him out on a rail claiming he was unproven and not ready for the big boys. Win 9 games a year at UCF and a conference championship/NY6 bowl every few years and we'll name the stadium after him.
