MUSIC THREAD: What're you listening to?

There was a thread in the Nebraska board about Christian rock. Most everyone posting mentioned that the message seemed to take precedence to the music/musicianship. Neal Morse was the leader of American prog veterans Spock's Beard until he became a Born Again Christian and dedicated his life to Christ. He later decided to spread The Word through prog music; he has had quite a successful career appealing both to the prog and Christian crowds.

I think this 2 songs show that you can be adventuresome in Christian rock; one is a bluesy heavy rocker, while the other brings to mind a mix of Genesis and The Beatles.

Please, let's not turn this fun music thread into a religious/non-religious battle. Let's just live and let live.......

Some of the best live bands I have heard are Christian bands I love the music no matter who is behind it.

In all honesty, the only 2 that I knew of were Petra and Stryper. Saw Petra live at Disneyworld, eons ago, when the park hosted an evening dedicated to just Christian music (don't remember the name of the event. Petra put on a decent show that night; however, the complaint with Christian bands seems to be that they play super safe and don't take any risks, or just let the music rip.

Excellent Swedish band sounding like a heavier version of Soundgarden. released 2 CDs in the mid 00s, and then disappeared. First album is the better of the two IMO:
