Especially if he can block like Gabe Davis or Trequan used to. People overlook how those big receivers helped our running gameThank goodness! Needed a taller kid outside of Martin. LFG
Looks like a nice pickup with a couple of years of eligibility left if he gets a Covid year. He did take a page out of Fast and Furious, so we'll have to keep him from behind the wheel.....
No pretending here. I agree we've had a very rough month. But just like 0-12 led to 13-0, the pendulum has to swing down to move up. Haters gon' hate but this glass ain't half empty. It's three quarters full! Charge On!I see the sunshine pumpers are trying to pretend that this program has not been on a downward spiral for over a month
Well, I agree you may be right, but for me, more like a little over half but that can change in the days to come and no one will be happier than me if it does. Still not enthusiastic about the hires. No pretending here. I agree we've had a very rough month. But just like 0-12 led to 13-0, the pendulum has to swing down to move up. I like the way he hits, he covers well, and he turns around to see the ball. IMO would be a nice get.Ja'Maric Morris, Georgia State Panthers, Cornerback

Losing to Navy --- Our DC left, you ought to be happy about that.Going into the big 12 while:
Losing to navy
Getting blown out in the title game
Losing your best wr and second best lb
Losing recruits
Losing both coordinators
Yep get excited
Is he a dt or edge?
Somethingthat Addison Williams said that I liked was this, and I'm paraphrasing;Losing both coordinators - OC was expected and DC was quickly replaced with a DC who
has more strict discipline requirements of his players which
was definitely an issue we saw on the field in our loses.
Doesn't seem to be what his unit showed this past season. But my biggest thing is we're going to be sound in what we're doing, guys being well coached, and disciplined."
I think this says a lot (indirectly) about T-Will and how A-Will will have a different approach. In other words, actions (A-Will) speak louder than words (T-Will).Somethingthat Addison Williams said that I liked was this, and I'm paraphrasing;
"I'm more of that quiet confident guy. I can get loud and rowdy with guys if I have to... Anybody can tell you we're going to be aggressive, we're going to fly around, we're gonna do this, we're gonna do that. But my biggest thing is we're going to be sound in what we're doing, guys being well coached, and disciplined."
Lots of talk about discipline and accountability.
Time will tell but I like this mentality. A few key players, young and old were there at his conference. Koby Perry, the Henderson Twins, I think I saw Kam Moore maybe? Very good to see.
Culture is going to be difficult i. The era of transfer portal. It’s going to take someone like a John Walker coming in and bringing the culture and staying for 3 years.Doesn't seem to be what his unit showed this past season.
Also always feel a culture change is significantly harder if its just an internal promotion, as oppose to going outside.
IDK, no one has bigger roster holes at that position than we do.He has to be leaning WV or Pitt.
You write that as if recruits aren't kids themselves. Speaking for myself, an '03 alumnus, they have far more in common with them than I do. I appreciate the energy they bring to the conversation. Every single time a HS target or potential transfer is mentioned on social, these "kids" you're condescending to are right there, trying to rally UCF fans to show support for them. I would have no idea who some of the recruits are without them. That stuff makes a difference to recruits/kids. They want to feel supported/wanted. It's no wonder that our fanbase overperforms on social media and is always one of the most engaged in CFB. These "kids" have a lot to do with that. Do they sometimes talk from their ass? Of course, we all do as fans online. I'll take them regardless of their "party invite" motivations."let him cook". Same kids that said to trust in jrp. Kids don't know what they're talking about. They just use Twitter to push a narrative to gain favor from our players in hopes of getting invited to parties.
You have to take into account the rating system. Are you aware that if we sign 27 kids and all are 2.5 stars we will be "ranked higher" than if we sign 15, 3.5 stars? I would argue the latter has more impact than the former. With all this Chef Malzahn talk there better be something cooking. Ranked 69, right above Navy is bad. No matter how you slice it.
Auburn starting OG.
That's fair, I was a bit condescending, and they deserve recognition for supporting our players. I should be more appreciative of that. You write that as if recruits aren't kids themselves. I like the 247 rankings with the composite HS Recruit + Transfer rankingsYou have to take into account the rating system. Are you aware that if we sign 27 kids and all are 2.5 stars we will be "ranked higher" than if we sign 15, 3.5 stars? I would argue the latter has more impact than the former.
Also remember that incoming transfers do not count for your "class ranking" at this time.
Navy will have almost no transfer kids and all high school kids. The ranking system now is antiquated and no longer relevant at all.
I forecast a 60/40 mix of transfers and highschool kids which will give us a "lower rating".
