I don't know Biden won, but he clearly held his own. He was coherent and alert for the first time in 6 months.

I'd like to blame Wallace but I can't see any moderator being able to shut Trump up.
I wonder if the next debate moderators will actually consider that. Probably not a great look to have to cut off candidates, but at the same time, this was just a complete waste of time.
Scariest part is trump telling people to dispute the election and intimidate voters.

I did get a good laugh today, Guy had a big Biden sign out front plus a Republicans against Trump sign. He had 2 Prius in the driveway

Absolutely not... my person opinion will be this election will be decided by whether or not minorities show up to vote. They did in 2008 and 2012 and took 2016 off. Will they come out for Joe is the unknown.
The problem for Trump is he needs to help himself outside of his base. We know who the "base" is voting for, Trump needs to attact undecideds, what few of them there are.
I think Trump is doing a good job of convincing people they need to come out, the problem, is I think he is likely convincing them to come out for Joe.
The whole thing was absolutely embarrassing from start to finish. One of the most appalling moments was when Biden started taking about his dead son Bo and Trump couldn't even let him finish his thought before interrupting him with "What about Hunter, Joe? What about Hunter, Joe?"
Yeah that was awful. I think Trump screwed up his strategy big time. There is a big difference in being "tough", and coming across as a bat shit crazy bully. The moment you are talking about likely isnt going to sit well with any normal person. Not to mention, not denouncing white supremacy and telling the Proud Boys to stand by, isnt going to go over well.
Intellectually, I knew I was listening to Trump but psychologically when I heard that and couldn't believe what I was hearing.

That wasn't a great moment for either of them. It seemed contrived by Biden, but trump went full-on jackass.
Biden won the first 20 minutes, then Trump did well for about that same amount of time. Overall, trump probably came out ahead slightly. You could see Biden get tired right after the economy topic and start to lose his train of thought. Trump just can't help but step on his own dick in debates. Like the question about the green new deal: trump should have shut his trap because there was no answer that Biden could give that wouldnt divide his base. Nope, gotta be a jackass and turn focus away from the guy thats hanging himself

Nobody cares about Hunter other than people in the Fox News world, who are already voting for Trump. It is a complete waste of energy for Trump to focus on that.
This was such a dark, non-debate I have a hard time talking about who won tonight. In my humble opinion, everybody lost, particularly the American people.
I seriously think they should cancel the remaining Presidential debates. I have no reason to believe the next two would be any different than this one. It was 90 minutes of sadness and disgust.
We dont know if he was prepared because Trump wouldnt shut up. I think Trump is desperate and thinks he is going to lose. I also think his strategy tonight was terrible. Biden is not a great debator, but due to Trump coming across as halfway insane, Biden didnt have to have a good debate.
It wasnt unintentional, these are his people and he knows they are his people. It is Charlottesville all over again, but actually I think is worse since "stand by" almost comes across as a threat.
