UCF vs UF in the Gasparilla Bowl???

Every time the word “gay” is used you chime in and only assign it a “homophobic” meaning. Please stop! If you are homosexual great, I don’t care. But by selectively assigning a homophobic angle to its use and then ascribing any negative results as “karma” you enter the realm of bigotry. Christianity is premised in part on “reaping what you sow,” and that my friend has nothing to do with “karma.” Stop insulting Christians with “Christophobic” reprimands predicated upon your assigning only one meaning to the word “gay.” You sir are not the ultimate arbiter of our lexicon.

I’ve seen the “gayturds” used many times, and strangely my first impression was “happy turds” not “homosexual turds.” I just get tired of people attempting to highjack conversations by controlling narratives and word usage.
Fake victim BS....just stop. You did not think "happy turds" and we all know it you moron

Opt outs are going to be very important to us....If all 3 starting senior OLs opt out.....I may not even watch this on TV.

Actually it was more like oblivious to be a turd but you get my drift. You actually thought homosexual 💩? Really? I’m not a victim of anything and I don’t have to personally insult you.
I apologize for the insult. I am, however, still having trouble understanding your train of thought. You earlier complained of some fabricated term called "christianphobia" so I take it you are a good church going god fearing 'merican. Since you are an expert on that subject, when the church says it is a "sin to be gay" I should have understood that to be "sin to be happy"? Ive been confused for 33 years I guess

Good grief, UCF fans are the worst. For years, our fans have cried and whined about scheduling and programs not respecting us. Now we have a chance to play UF, and some of you all want no part of it because you don’t like a true freshmen quarterback. Are you kidding me!?

When are we going to get a shot at the Gators when they are down this bad, without coaches, players, and impending opt outs? We are down bad as well, but you’d rather wait to play them when Napier possibly builds them back up into a top five team in the country? The odds would be greater to beat them then? Give me a break…

As far as opt outs go, I think playing UF lessens a chance of opt outs. This is as respected of an opponent (even in a very down year) that they’ve played while at UCF. I would except Schneider, Jackson, Tatum, and BK Bryant all to play.

The Gators have everything to lose, and UCF has nothing to lose with this matchup. Think of the momentum heading into next season a win could give our kids (not to mention the most important thing, eyes around the state on this game that could help with recruiting). If we lose, we’re supposed to lose - especially without DG. But some of you are worried about UF fans heckling you!?!? So soft, enjoy the matchup with friends a family - talk your shit. And if UCF loses, move on. It will be fine…

Anyone who opts out, on either side is a quitter. Under most other bowls, I would be okay with opting out in a meaningless bowl, but this game is a huge opportunity for us.

You are absolutely ignorant and oblivious to the reality of what homophobia is and the fact you’re trying to justify it is purely pathetic. And then to use a clip from an Adam Sandler movie to bolster your prejudicial bias? Grow up man! Would you use those same epithets about one’s race?

There are people in the world who are different than you. It’s long past time for your need to get over that. No one cares what your Bible says about sinning or any other nonsense. Your religious beliefs don’t trump individual rights and liberties. They also don’t give you the right to label things as “gay” in a derogatory tone and conclude you can get away with it because your “religion” is being persecuted.

Grow up! Take your ignorant self out of 1950 and treat others as you’d want to be treated yourself. It’s really that simple. Using “gay” as a derogatory descriptor is offensive to a large segment of society. So why then would you use that term? It doesn’t further any point you’re trying to make. It’s only makes you look like a total idiot.
Im on your side man....

He thought it meant "happy" since that is how its been used in everday conversation for the last 100 years. Lets get this back on track. Hes sorry, clearly misunderstanding and he now knows it wasnt meant as "happy turds"

You need to get a couple of facts straight. I did not use a clip from an Adam Sandler movie. I’m a fully grown man have served In the military and now defend the rights of the criminally accused. You may believe your individual rights trump my sincerely held religious beliefs, but they are on equal footing under the first amendment. And while you may not care about Christian directives that are at odds with your personal beliefs there are more than 2 billion Christians worldwide that would differ with your view. And the fact of the matter is that I didn’t use the term “gay” I merely defended another’s use of the term. You’ll notice I didn’t have to call you and idiot or ignorant a single time to make my point. The fact of the matter is my speech may hit a nerve, but I would argue that is precisely why we have a first amendment. Speech that we can all agree on doesn’t need protection. Speech that promotes diversity of thought (without inciting violence) is what needs protection. We now return to your regularly scheduled thread.

Like this post but curious about your avatar/pic of Nate Evans posing over Jo Burrow?!? I liked Nate and it was a great hit but his actions afterwards were classless and embarrassing IMO. The resulting unsportsmanlike penalty kept LSUs drive alive and it was a huge turning point in the game. It seemed to galvanize their whole team and Burrow started playing like a man on a personal mission for payback.
I never watched that play/penalty again on video but I’ve heard other people say you could actually see Evans
spit on Burrow as he towered over him. I’m not saying he did or didn’t but I know that’s an image I hope to never see from another Knight again.
I honestly didn't know about the spitting lol. It's just an avatar from years ago that I haven't thought about till right now.

Can we rename the thread to "UCF vs UF in Gaspirilla and homosexuality"

This IS a meaningless bowl, and I hope you're correct that we have no opt outs....but I bet we have several....and the wrong ones would cripple us as we have little depth.

Back on track with the game analysis. Good or bad it's the only game played on Thursday, so it will be in the spotlight for folks wanting to watch college football. I like the 7 pm start time instead of the middle of the day. I suppose some folks will opt out for the NFL game.

Why exactly would Big Kat opt out? If he was that concerned about the NFL, do you think he would have come back to college for a fifth year, and leave an SEC program (as an All SEC guy) for UCF in the first place? Lol

He’s not exactly knocking down the door of the NFL at this point.

We definitely will have opt outs and more transfers out before game is played. It’s definitely a meaningless game. Only around 13 games mean anything and this isn’t one of them.

You guys must not have any UF friends. If you did, you wouldn’t want this matchup either.

When I was in Louisville walking out the stadium after the shocking last minute loss, some asshole asked if we still want Bama. That’s the crap we have to deal with every single loss. You guys live in a bubble if you want to play UF now with one of our worst teams in years after bitching up a storm the last several years about them dodging us. It won’t be fun. Give me them in the regular season in a couple years when we have had time to reload and get the right recruits in here.

Yep. 100%
Life Tip: If you don't give a crap what obnoxious, arrogant, shallow, T-Shirt fans say about you or your team, life feels much happier!

Like everyone else who opts out, injury. Why get hurt when you need to get ready for combine?

This guy gets it......

He came here for added exposure, to stand out....mission accomplished, off to start combine prep.
Yeah man, you got me. Leave the SEC, I need exposure.
Forget playing Alabama, LSU, Florida. I need more exposure so I can make the NFL, let me stay in college for a fifth year and go miss a bunch of tackles against Navy.

I realize why people opt out, but you both completely ignored my point. I’m not sure he’s worried about the NFL all that much, hence-why he’s here. Big Kat will play (IMO).

He didn’t say goodbye. He tweeted “thank you Knight Nation”.

You know, because that was his last home game, and he was thanking the home fans for the support all year. That’s not goodbye.
