OT: Smart watches

SIAP, I've seen a thread specifically about Apple smart watches but I didn't see one for all kinds of smart watches.

For those of you that like the look of a traditional analog watch but want some smarts too, Garmin has announced a new model.

Nauts vs Knights

How would you feel if the university eventually changed our mascot from Knights to Nauts?

  • No, horrible idea, we are Knights and that should never change

  • Maybe… if done right and not cheesy

  • Awesome idea, would truly pay homage and make us unique

Given UCFs history with the space industry, all the publicity surrounding launches, being on the same latitude as the the launch complex, how would you feel if the university eventually changed our mascot and logo from Knights to Nauts? New logo, new mascot, same colors but with canaveral blue incorporated, etc.

$13 million QB at UF?

The Sentinel is reporting that UF's $13 million deal for a California high schooler is falling apart. The deal may be what prompted him to back out of his earlier commitment to Miami. Maybe I'm just naïve but that sounds like a lot of money to me. Is that an exceptionally high offer or is it in the ballpark of what other colleges are paying QBs? Will we ever know what UCF backers are offering our players? Are college football players now generally higher paid than their professors? I'm still a college football fan. The old scholar-athlete label never made much sense. But the student-athlete-millionaire is a little hard to swallow.

Time to put away our G5 dreams and grow up and dream again

Ok, P5 is real and we need to adopt the P5 douchery fan base attitude ! 😂

We can start by telling the Bulls to just join a better conference..

When we don't win or blow out G5 teams we need to say we weren't motivated

When a G5 team goes undefeated and wants to play on the playoff we need stomp our feet and I leash the Twitter mafia and say they didn't play anyone .

When we get slotted to play a G5 team in some random bowl we need to get all indigent and say how they are below us .
We need to forget our roots, our struggle and act entitled.

Let me know if I am forgetting anything.

Note: This is post is truly made in sarcasm . I hope we never get this way,but it's inevitable I am afraid .
What a great day to be a Knight !

Toughest 3 Game Stretch in 2023

I Hope we can agree that all football games in 2023 will be tough to win but which 3 game stretch is going to be the Big XII wake up call that we have arrived or have work to do. The schedule really does set up quite well to be bowl eligible and 7+ wins year 1.
