Two players connected to the University of Florida - a transfer and a commitment - highlight UCF's expected visitors for their final regular season home game against Navy.
Joshua Braun, a former offensive guard for the Gators, received a UCF offer earlier this week. A four-star recruit in the Class of 2020, Braun started seven games for the Gators during the 2021 season but saw his status change with the coaching change in Gainesville. He visited Florida State a few days ago and also has offers from Penn State, Duke and Texas Tech.
Braun is already in the NCAA Transfer Portal as he is set to graduate from UF following this semester. He recently married and will be looking for the best fit for both he and his wife.
After taking 2022 as a redshirt season, Braun could have up to three seasons of eligibility remaining if he were to utilize his extra COVID year (he would be classified as a redshirt junior in 2023).
Tyree Patterson, a wide receiver from Eustis, committed to Florida last April and is also expected to be in the Bounce House. UCF has always kept in touch with Patterson, who is also slated to take an official visit the weekend of Dec. 16, the weekend following his UF official.
Estero (Fla.) cornerback
Jason Duclona will make a repeat visit this weekend after also attending the Cincinnati and SMU games. A decommit from Rutgers, UCF has shot to the top of Duclona's list. He plans to announce his commitment on Monday.
"I love their coaches," Duclona told Rivals about UCF. "I love their DB room; I have talked to a lot of their players. The atmosphere there is great. Next year they join the Big 12, that is a great opportunity to play at a high level."
Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic's
Tommy Kinsler, a four-star offensive lineman committed to Miami, is also on the RSVP list.
Several UCF commitments are expected to be on hand, including
John Walker,
Andrew Harris,
Michael Harris,
Jamal Meriweather,
Dylan Rizk and
Grant Reddick.
Florida has continued to make a strong push for Walker, who committed to UCF in July. He is currently set to visit UF the weekend of Dec. 9.
Notable juniors expected to visit include Largo linebacker
Adarius Hayes, Evans safety
Brandon Jacob and Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.) offensive lineman
Kade Martin. Osceola athlete
Taevion Swint (Class of 2025) is also on the list.
