***Ryan Swoboda says OL continues to jell; preparing for loud environment at ECU ⚔🏈

UCF right tackle Ryan Swoboda, a graduate transfer from Virginia, has made a seamless transition within the offensive line.

The same can be said for fellow transfer and left tackle Tylan Grable. The duo are among UCF's top-graded offensive players according to PFF.

Swoboda appeared at Monday's press conference in advance of this Saturday's game at East Carolina.

I started things off by asking Ryan if he was jealous his tackle counterpart Tylan Grable had an offensive play drawn up for him vs. Temple that nearly resulted in a touchdown.

"That would have been a unit touchdown. Tylan can move and catch. Coach Malzahn was happy (Grable didn't extend and potentially put the ball in jeopardy to try and score) but I kind of wanted him to."

Swoboda is 6-foot-10. I commented that he could be utilized in the back of the end zone.

"I know that. You should have told Coach Malzahn. He was just here."

Swoboda feels the unit has gotten better every week.

"We take pride in being able to run the ball and guys making big plays. When you have so many talented guys, it's a lot of fun. I think we're really jelling as a unit. All five guys and everybody else, we're all really close."

Was this the OL's best game vs. Temple? He says they played well, but they can play better. They haven't played their best football.

Swoboda talked about OL success being a group of five but "one set of eyes." Said the chemistry has continued to improve.

ECU has been competitive with everyone. They've had a little extra time to review their film. They have guys that can make plays.

Asked about the road game environment, Swoboda said it will be challenging. They have veterans though with experience. He thinks they might wear ear plugs during practice this week so it's harder to hear completely. You can't really mimic exactly how it's going to be though.

Swoboda was asked about ECU being a "trap game" but he disagreed. Says they're a good team and how it's the most important game of the season because it's the next game.

Ryan told Trace he was excited to see his video clip on his Twitter account.

On JRP, he said his play elevates everyone around him.

Is he a BBQ guy? He is. Enjoys a rack of ribs. But he has not been to Greenville and has not tried their BBQ.

Fanatics Branded UCF NIL Player Gear Now Available

As if we need another merch thread, but I thought this was pretty cool. I especially like it since I can finally order my girls a "UCF Women's Volleyball" and "UCF Women's Soccer" shirt. Football, volleyball and women's soccer are available and you get to select which (actual) player's name and number you get on the back.

OT: Alabama NIL collective offered Utah TE Dalton Kincaid ~$1,000,000 to transfer to Alabama

It was well rumored in Utah/Bama circles that Alabama boosters offered Dalton Kincaid about a mil to transfer to Alabama this summer. That report was all but confirmed by Utah AD Mark Harlan to Yahoos Pat Forde when he said "We had a player who was offered, I believe, about a million dollars to pull him over to another team,” Harlan told Sports Illustrated. “I called that AD and had a discussion, right? And he’s frustrated. Everybody’s frustrated.

“Because this was a friend, it was a friendly call. It was just to say, ‘Listen, it happened.’ My colleague was—embarrassed is not the right word, but he was frustrated.” source

Kyle Whittingham took quite a bit of heat from our fans when he said "There’s going to come a time in the very, very near future where the Top 25 NIL pots of money are going to mirror exactly the Top 25 teams in the country,” he said last Monday. “That’s just how it is. That’s where it’s heading and there’s no debate about it, unless they change the rules. I don’t think they can backpedal now with the can of worms that they’ve opened.”

For me, it will be East Carolina. The Pirates along with Southern Miss were the schools I was most excited about being affiliated with when UCF joined C-USA in 2005.

As evident by their BBQ pride today, at least they have fans to engage with. You can hardly say the same for many other AAC schools. And while Greenville is kind of a dump with questionable BBQ, it's not too bad and at least it's a real college town that has pride in their team.

Enjoy, we were clearly excited and we try to answer @dali drama Napster question without a lawsuit.

Partially Cloaked UFO Captured on Security Cam ?

It is definitely a UFO in the strictest definition of the word, but it doesn't mean it's a flying saucer. Could be a drone or a trick of shadow and light.....or could be the real thing. Years ago, I knew a retired military veteran who claimed to have worked in government black-ops who told me that "They exist and they've been coming here for a long time". Of course, I never did ask him who "they" were and where "they" were coming from.
