So it's common knowledge that OK ST changed their entire season (and especially their running attack) when they pivoted from zone blocking to gap blocking early in the season. So do you think that our Coaches spent the week preparing for (and scheming against) one of the best gap blocking teams in the country and that we'll surprise everyone? Or will we come in with our usual 4-2 and expect the guys to suddenly protect the edge, shed blocks, plug up the middle and tackle crisply (our entire D)? Which do you think? ....kinda. Needed a new lid for men's league lacrosse and decided to loosely recreate a space helmet. I used parts of the 2021 space helmet sticker pack as well as some citronaut vinyl stickers.

So the discussion in the other thread (https://ucf.forums.rivals.com/threads/a-closer-look-at-ucfs-2023-high-school-transfer-class-who-is-contributing-and-who-is-not-⚔️🏈.113560/) about if it was Marc-Antony Richards or Isaiah Nixon who was called for the illegal formation on the punt return got me thinking about that strange call. I went back and rewatched it. We had just come up with a huge stop when we were up by 4 points in the 4th quarter and forced them to punt, but this call allowed them to continue their drive and kick a FG to make it a 1 point game. Here is what that "illegal formation" looked like at the snap:



And here's the NCAA rule on the subject:

Defensive Linemen on Scrimmage Kick Plays
If Team A is in a scrimmage kick formation at the snap, any Team B player within one yard of the line of scrimmage must be aligned completely outside the frame of the body of the snapper at the snap

Yes, MAR is lined up inside the body of the snapper. However, he is clearly lined up more than a yard back from the line of scrimmage. The line was about the 43.5, and MAR was lined up at the 45. It definitely was a bad call by the back judge who was 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage and not in a position to be able to see where MAR was in relation to the line. No wonder Gus was so upset about it. It could have been the difference in the game had Cincinnati converted their final 2 point conversion to tie it up and possibly send the game to OT. I guess being in the P4 doesn't mean you'll get quality refs.

Can UCF finally beat a ranked P5 team at home?

Boy did we need that. A little slump buster never hurt anybody. Sometimes when you’re in a drought, while the universe feels like it’s against you, you have to go back to a familiar well to satiate your thirst and get things moving. It was fifty days since we last notched a game result in the proper column. While it wasn’t the prettiest win, it was a WIN. Eat shit Cincinnati. Also completely removed the Bearcats from bowl season consideration. Now we focus efforts on reaching a bowl ourselves and salvaging some semblance of a successful year in our Big 12 debut.

It seems like he will go into the portal, but unless he can graduate he'd have to sit out a year if he goes FBS (he was a true freshman in 2021, so that could be doubtful). I suppose it's possible he returns, but I'd be surprised.

WR Trent Whittemore - Starting to play more, especially with Magwood opting out and Xavier Townsend injured.

A K-State win vs. Texas and Oklahoma State win vs. Oklahoma would be huge to have a Big 12 Championship Game that does not involve schools leaving.

Disney is reporting their profit today and breaking out espn financials. Disney plus will be on some cable networks. Financial analysis are saying that direct viewership is not generating the income for Disney and that Disney and ESPN might put all their content back on cable. Disney reports at the close of the market, 4pm.

It's been a long time coming for UCF and Marchelus Avery. He initially committed to the Knights in January 2020, but had a change of plans a few months later as he had to begin his career via the JUCO route. He played one year at Northwest Florida State and then signed with New Mexico State where he played the last two years.

It was a rough year for the NMSU program, though Avery persevered averaging 8.2 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. He transferred into UCF during the offseason.

The UCF Knights men's soccer team suffered a first round exit in the Sun Belt tournament at the hands of South Carolina, 2-1. The Knights have had a historic season reaching the #1 ranking in the country during the latter part of the regular season, but they must now wait to see their fate in the NCAA tournament.

Head Coach Scott Calabrese and Defender Anderson Rosa met with the media after the match.

I know there are some insurance people on here, and I am sure there are some people who have made Homewoners insurance claims before.

I received a letter from the water utility telling me there is something running continuously in my house. I checked the toilets, faucets, etc. and nothing was running. My neighbor is plumber so he came over and he checked. He turned off the hot water and the meter stopped running, he turned the hot water back on the meter started running again. So somewhere I have a hot water leak. The issue is there is no wet spots anywhere, therefore he concluded that the leak is in the foundation somewhere. The issue is that it is pretty much impossible to pinpoint exactly where the leak is. His recommendation is to re-pipe the Hot Water for the entire house and run it through the attic, at a cost of about $6K.

My question is, since there is not any visible damage, will insurance pay anything toward the repair? If the leak was in the wall, they would pay to repair all the damage. Even if they could find and fix the leak, they would have to cut through my tile floor, through the foundation, fix the leak and then repair the floor. If I don’t fix it, it is going to get worse and eventually there will be some sort of damage somewhere I would assume.
