The Portal and the Spencer Rattler effect

Probably the one thing that sticks out for me about the portal is how long it takes for talented players to gel with the team. One of the best examples was Spencer Rattler at South Carolina. Everyone knows this is a talented QB. However for the first half of the season he was lost. About 6 games in he began to be comfortable. At the end you could finally see that potential. It took players like JRP, and Baker and Hudson several games to get on track. I think about Bohnam at usf too.

Seems to me that the Portal might be better for getting players that will not be starters, but support for a year and then step in. Looking at players like ROK and JJB who only have a year left, will they be able to adapt and be successful that quick? Just not sure the portal is going to be a quick fix for most teams.

Understanding UCF's NIL War Chest

I'm ready to start donating to the much-needed NIL fund.

Does anyone truly understand the system? How much $$$ we currently have, is it separate from the GKC, who chairs this department? etc, etc.

I just don't want to donate to the GKC to fund other projects like that damn lazy river, I want my $$$ to go towards funding DT John Walker. You dig?

UCF will NEVER replace how good its outgoing transfers

*think* they are.

They *think* they are hot sh*t right now, but in that portal, they will learn just how cold of a turd they really are.

Lots of these guys have been overhyped by media and the fans. It will show. They will discover just had good they had it at UCF.

Excluding Mikey of course. Had to throw in that disclaimer.

Javon Baker: Is his statement true or is it disrespectful to past players?

Javon said that he and Kobe Hudson paved the way for receivers to come to UCF who never would have thought to come here before. Is that true?

We know about the Knights' receiver talent that's gone to the NFL, but there have also been very few high-profile receivers out of high school that have come here (Javon and Kobe not included here because they didn't come here from high school). And in my opinion, despite what guys like Brandon Marshall and Gabe Davis have done in the NFL, Kobe and Javon may be the most NFL-equipped receivers to play here.

Are you ok with what he said here and do you agree with it?
