2020 Democrat hopefuls

SC is conservative Trump state = no ****s given as to who the democrats pick there.

Black voters are more conservative than your average dem voter, black voters will be needed to win the Democratic nomination. Bernie hasn't been able to win black voters, in 2016 or 2020. That's why SC is important. If you can't win black voters in SC, then you have little chance of flipping GA, FL or NC.

Shook Chicken doesn't care about the black electorate. He only cares about the white hipster liberals who all want the US to look exactly like ultra white Scandinavian nations.

I don't care about any moderates. Politicians who run without a platform lose. Our moderates have no major issues and they're getting crushed in the primary because of it and they'll get crushed in the general because of it.

What was Hillary's major issue in 2016? No one knows she didn't have one. L

What was Obama's in 2008? Easy, healthcare. W

What was Romney's? None L

What was McCain's None L

What was Trump's? Easy, Wall, Mexico will pay for it. W

What is Biden's? None. L

What is Bernies? Easy, MFA W

If you just run on the fact that you're not Donald Trump. You won't excite the base enough. Trump is the one running on "not being a socialist" or whatever his plan will be. The Democratic nominee needs strong issues that people care about.

Obama didn't run on healthcare. 2008 was all about Iraq and wall street

The base is so excited about Bernie's socialism that he's barely getting 30% in these primary states. lol. ok.

He will get slaughtered in November. You think MFA and all of these far left fringe talking points he has all over his website are winners but you're wrong about pretty much everything. Millions of D's who don't want to abandon capitalism will vote for Trump .

Honestly, deep down you know you're not being honest. We all do.

You must be too young to remember it. A secondary issue was providing healthcare for all children, but the campaign was all about Iraq up until the crash and then the major issue was Wall Street/ the economy.
Maybe on the chud side.

He absolutely ran on health care. Obviously it wasnt the only issue, but healthcare was certainly one of his top issues.

Wall>MFA

I just read the opening statements from the 3 presidential debates, and the only thing Obama said about it was "we've got to fix our healthcare system". It wasn't a major platform issue.

Wall is over. New wall is Trump's healthcare plan that he is going to release after the election. It's going to be amazing he says. Can't release it now but wow I've heard great things

I was told by Democrats that Obamacare is awesome so I guess we can just leave it right? Surely Democrats don’t want to totally dismantle their big achievement from just 10 years ago?

With who? The communist loving socialist, or the guy who can't remember his own name?
LOL "Senile old" Joe Biden will wipe the floor with Trump's corrupt, blowhard ass. Even Trump knows it which is why he tried using his office to strong-arm Ukraine to frame the guy.

You're a senile old man so I can see what you have an affinity for him.

Bro, the Democratic nominees were being nice to Joe because they don't want to be seen as being mean to someone who is generally well liked by his party. They still made him look stupid with very little effort. He doesn't have the mental agility to debate.

Imagine what happens when he's going against Trump who doesn't give a shit about being nice and knows that the more he goes after Joe the more he gets support from his base.

What would Joe even try to campaign on? Trump will make the whole election about bullshit conspiracy theories and Joe will be on the defensive the whole time. Trust me on this I respect Joes whole career, he's been great but he's not the right person. The fact that they consolidated around him and not one of the other centrists is a huge mistake.

Biden is easily drawn into aggressive rhetoric and Trump will do that better than anyone. Face it, Biden doesn't have the energy to do what he did to Paul Ryan in 2012, now he trips over words and loses his train of thought easily.

Have you seen Joe Biden? He cannot win. Why do you think he can win. Specifically what reason.
Joe is EXACTLY what voters are looking for this November! The question going into 2020 was whether or not Joe Biden could do it. He's demonstrated now that he can.
  • American voters want a candidate who will be a CALMING change from the turbulence of the last four years.
  • They want someone who won't be freaking them out by proposing radical, new programs.
  • They want someone who will protect the foundation of Obamacare: protecting people with pre-existing conditions from being locked out of insurance options.
  • They want someone who they can TRUST. While politicians are known to lie, Trump has put that characterization into overdrive with his daily crap. No one is perfect, but a majority of voters will see Biden as a comforting, old "Uncle Joe."
  • They want someone who is a good person. Joe might not be the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to debates, but across party lines he's known a 'good guy' and an honorable man.

Except... He's not. He has done really poorly for someone with his notoriety.

Yep Mr. Corruption, who really did threaten Ukraine to protect his son making millions of his name is the perfect person to take on Trump.

You're putting WAY too much importance on the product of Presidential debates. The debates are more about the personalities behind the rhetoric. As I said in another thread, if debates were really about "winning" and "losing," Hillary would have won in a landslide.

All Joe would have do to in a debate is to show the American people he is a continuation of the Obama legacy and a good, decent man who's heart is into serving this country for all the right reasons. Nobody outside of opposition supporters will give a sh*t if he makes a gaff anymore than was the case four years ago with Trump.

For a guy who was considered by all the TV pundits to be "dead in the water" two weeks ago, Biden sure seems to have done pretty damn well lately if you ask me.

If Biden hadn't shown that he has caught fire, do you really think Pete and Amy would have dropped out in the two days leading up to Super Tuesday's vote?

No matter who gets elected out of the remaining field, it will be the oldest person ever to serve as president. Trump is the youngest man left in the field.

Ok boomer?

If it was Biden of 2008 or 2012 I would agree, but now he seems like an angry old man that would be more likely to start a rest-home fight than to be a friendly old uncle.

Yeah, I do. They are on the eve of no moderate getting above 15% in many key states. They needed to consolidate or they were done. Biden won a single state, that is going to vote for Trump in November. Meanwhile he got wrecked in states that vote blue.

i am looking forward to the dnc rigging the primary against bernie and then the bernie bros go crazy and start riots. then joe will have massive dementia gaffes in several debates leading up to trumps landslide victory. 2020 is going to be awesome. #winning
