2020 Democrat hopefuls

This poor demented fellow barely got into his meager 7 minute speech with prepared remarks on a teleprompter for him before stumbling so bad that he declared we must re-elect Donald Trump

I would say that he sounds like a drunk Jon Voight, except that would be a horrific insult to the conservative Trump-supporting Voight.

Lots of jokes about President Trump snorting pills but Joe slurs his words like your drunk uncle at a Christmas party.

Yeah, Trump does that shit too. Old people need to be banned from running for office.

Trump usually does it during a 40 minute rally speech in which he’s improvising most of it. Biden could not get through 7 minutes where 100% of it was off a teleprompter.

Imagine what this guy is going to be like during the next debate with Comrade Sanders, just them, when he has to speak on issues for longer than 1 minute at a time.

Right. I forgot Trump has never gaffed bigly when reading off a teleprompter.

Hopefully it's as aggressive as the prior debates.

Biden has a tightrope to walk now. He has to court the far left so as to not lose the socialists but if he goes too far he'll lose the centrists. It'll be interesting to see the head to head polling against trump after next week.

The DNC changed the format of the next debate to allow both geriatrics to be seated for the entire debate instead of having to stand

The Sanders camp is claiming the DNC did it to favor Biden, apparently forgetting that Sanders is a frail 78 year old himself

And they changed the rules to keep Tulsi Gabbard out. They are deathly afraid of a contested convention.

There's nothing funnier than the dynamic duo of Crazy and 85 opining on the current state of Democratic Presidential Race.

A real laugh riot! I give them four stars!

Weren't you complaining about how some states cancelled their republican presidential primaries a few months ago?

Guess what? The Dems are having actual State primary elections. Most people assume its down to a two-man race: Sanders vs Biden for the nomination.

But you want us to believe Tulsi Gabbard has been denied her rightful place on the debate stage due to a sneaky DNC 'rules change.'

If you'd been paying attention, the criteria that prevented Tulsi from taking part in the debates took place last year. She's the only one of the "Not Ready for Prime Time" Candidates that hasn't already withdrawn.

the party of youth diversity and occupy wall street produced two old rich white guy, one in the beginning stages of dementia and the other with heart disease.

seriously, all trump super pac needs to do is air joe biden gaffes before the election. i cant wait to see his next one. the next debate is going to be great fodder.

Dow Jones is trading at 2017 levels right now. I wonder if they will be at pre-trump levels by the election.

They just changed it last week after everybody else dropped out. The only person it affected was Gabbard.

Just wait til Warren is out there cheerleading Bloomberg's spending binge to benefit the Democrats after basically calling him a sexual predator who abused women and is scum of the earth.

Her attacks on him were short sighted. I could see him telling the whole party to shove it after what she did to him.

Bernie accused the DNC of forcing Buttigieg and Klobuchar out of the race so that Biden can win.

They did.

Both Amy and Pete are going to get spots in Biden's administration and be future leaders in the DNC. I'm sure they've been promised some good gigs to build the resume.

The way the DNC has rolled out endorsements is calculated.

However, the votes are the votes. While I have a preference for a candidate who has at least a single plan for any issue, my fellow dems are committed to voting for a return to the normalcy that got us where we are.

That's democracy. The DNC is calculated but the people at the end of the day are supporting it over structural change. The DNC has no interest in doing anything for youth voters when the youth won't vote.

After a term full of crazytown with Donald Trump, me and my fellow Dems are committed to voting for a return to normalcy. That part you got right.

But quite frankly, what "got us where we are" with a Trump Presidency was the same kind of bullsh*t corruption (albeit to a lesser extent) that made enough voters in the Rust Belt States think that it made no difference whether they voted for Hillary or Trump in 2016.

Yeah, and why do you think that is?

We became the party of wall street under Clinton and republicans took over the blue collar vote with empty promises. We went so long without addressing income inequality that they were looking for something to blame and Trump gave it to them. Biden isn't going to do anything to address the issues and were going to be back to writing laws that protect student loan lenders from BK. The next Trump will come along and it's the same thing all over again. We can't win long term with luke warm policy that's what Hillary did. She ran on just not being Trump and she was incredibly uninspiring.

@DaShuckster will never answer this question because there is no answer that doesn't sound awful.

How can 65+ year old Democrat primary voters be on Medicare, love it, and still overwhelmingly vote to keep millennial aged voters in the free market because "SOCIALISM!"

Millennial aged Democrat primary voters in the free market hate being in the free market and vote overwhelmingly to try and exit that market but are kept there when it's not what they want.

It feels very unfair for 65+ aged democrats to decide what is good for them is not food for us.

They're mad about Trump but that's about it. They don't care about student loan debt, they don't care about access to healthcare, they don't care about big climate change commitment. To me the only difference between Biden and Trump is that Trump is actively rigging the government against liberal ideas for generations. Biden wouldn't advance anything I give a shit about but at least he wouldn't stack the supreme court with political hack judges and gerrymander the nation with census manipulation.

People even within the same party will always have different priorities, and that isn't going to change. However, the problem with young people isn't the old people trying to keep them down, it's that they don't vote.

Biden is about as inspiring as Hillary. His most fervent supporters can't name a single plan he's proposed. His entire campaign has been propped up with well timed endorsements he needed back room deals to get his competitors to drop out of the race. He couldn't beat them in the polls except for 1 conservative state.

At upcoming debates Bernie will crush him but then he'll get a few big endorsements and the media will forget about how bad of a candidate be is.

He's a good dude 100%, but his momentum is fake. I'll vote for him in November and I'll phone bank and donate the max amount but let's not act like Biden did anything to earn this. He's been chosen.

This simply isn't true. This is a problem progressives tend to have, where they want to lump moderates in with the far right, when it couldn't be farther from the truth. For example, if you care about healthcare as much as you say you cant possibly think that Biden pushing for a public option is the same thing as Trump wanting to strip Obamacare and get rid of pre-existing condition protections. These are completely different positions and viewpoints.

No, the problem is the old people who claim to be outraged over kids in cages but don't give a shit when it comes to guaranteeing kids healthcare.

They say the college system is broken but they won't vote for anyone who has a plan to fix it.

They say they want a climate change plan but they vote for the only one who doesn't have a detailed plan.

Basically it's boomers being boomers because if there's one thing boomers love more than their political party, it's their money. They all claim to want to fix these issues but when it comes time to write the check they become republicans and yell SOCIALISM!!

Yeah, when I think of people who just love their money it is the large contingent of African American voters in the super wealthy state of South Carolina.

You disagree with me but your actions tell a different story.

Ask yourself these yes or no questions.
Do you think Americans and their families who get sick should not have to go bankrupt if they want to stay alive?

Do you think climate change is one of our biggest threats and needs to be treated as seriously as something like the war in the middle east?

Do you think that student loan debt is oppressive for young people trying to start families, buy houses, build lives. Do you think college expense has gotten out of control but still think education is important.

If you answered yes to any of those questions then why would you support Biden over Bernie. Because at the end of the day you don't want to take the steps to solve these issues because the steps involved require commitment to pay up so our future generations can not have these problems.

If boomers actually gave a shit about fixing stuff they would vote for the dem who's trying to fix stuff not the one who just won't break stuff as quickly.

See, this is another example of the problem with the Bernie supporters. I like Bernie personally, but many of his supporters are nuts. Instead of acknowledging the obvious problem Bernie has had with gaining African American support (both in 2016 and 2020) essentially you are just saying they were all duped into voting for Biden. Do you not understand how arrogant and insulting that comes off to people, to essentially tell them they only supported a guy because they duped? Maybe work on the outreach a little more instead of making everyone else in the party your enemy.
