2020 Democrat hopefuls

I guess he's a good liberal in that he's openly questioning Pence's faith and commitment to Christianity (lol) because he has different political leanings.

I can't keep track really. Is Pence a religious dangerous zealot, or is he someone who decided he wasn't all that committed to Christianity or the Bible since he agreed to run for Vice President w/ Trump?

I'd love for someone to ask Pence if he thinks Democrats who support abortion are committed to Scripture.

I can't understand the Beto fanboy club for the life of me. He had every national Democrat throwing huge sums of money at him, making personal appearances for him, every Democrat in TX came out in force, he was facing one of the least popular Republicans in Texas right now...…...and he still lost by 3%. In a year where every liberal was insanely geared up to vote and stick it to Trump.

It's Texas, a dead Republican can win in that State.

What he did was more impressive than Gillum. Florida is more purple and set up for Dems to have a higher chance at winning they are just run terribly In State. Beto resulted in down ticket wins for Democrats in huge counties like the one Houston is located.

I think Beto is a dangerous candidate in the future, but at this point he hasn't proven he can win anything that matters and probably hasnt been completely vetted. Right now he's an easy target for a sitting president.

Ted Cruz would probably poll less favorably than a dead Republican. He's a polarizing figure even to Republicans. Just look at every other race in that state - look at the Governor race. Absolute blowouts for Republicans. The Cruz vs Beto race was unique because 1.) you had a really polarizing R and 2.) you had a D that every national democrat declared the next golden boy and threw historic sums of money at him to win.

And he still lost by 3% with a libertarian peeling off another 1%.

Young Beto O'Rourke wrote 'murder fantasy' about running over children..

Yikes! Thank God Thomas Harris who wrote about the exploits of cannibal Hannibal Lector in Silence of the Lambs isn't planning to run for President!!!!

Has that person nearly killed someone in a DUI crash and then fled the scene?

You're right, we should draw the line at fleeing the scene when you may have left someone to die in their car that you hit.
I agree with that. But Beto didn't flee, did he? He wasn't charged with fleeing, was he? And he has never been convicted of fleeing, has he?

W was a drunk and coke head in his 20s , that line of attack isn’t going to do much damage and unlike our current POTUS he actually apologizes for past mistakes

What cracks me up about Robert Francis O’Rourke is the sheer fraud that he is and the libs can’t get enough of him. Robert didn’t use “Beto” when he attended his rich all male boarding school in Virginia, or when he was attending Columbia. He never used “Beto” until he ran for the house in a Latin market. His net worth is $9MM even though he has never had a real job. His father in law is worth billions and it takes less than five minutes to find where Robert Francis tried to use his city council job to help dear daddy in law with a failed retail development.

The guy is a fraud but much like Obama, if he can make the left tingle, that is all it takes.

Looks like the GOP has found the new Birther conspiracy to obsess over

I just think it's weird to obsess over his name when Ted(Felito) Cruz did the exact same thing to actually run away from his Hispanic heritage.

https://www.expressnews.com/news/ne...-GOP-is-obsessed-with-O-Rourke-s-13195257.php

O’Rourke has stated that his family gave him the nickname when he was an infant. He also posted an Instagram photo of him as a preschooler, wearing a sweater with the name “Beto” on it.

That should have been enough to sweep the nickname absurdity into the overflowing dustbin of shameless political cynicism.

But Republicans refuse to let it go.

Truth be told, if there is a candidate in this race who adopted a nickname to win himself more popularity, it’s Ted Cruz.

While O’Rourke was given his nickname by his family, Cruz decided as a teenager to shed the name his family had given him. As Cruz recalled in his 2015 book, “A Time for Truth,” he had grown tired of being the outcast nerd and concluded that his name, Rafael (which tended to be turned into Felito), was holding him back. With his mom’s help, he settled on Ted, a nickname for Edward, his middle name.

By Cruz’s own account, his Cuban-born father hated the nickname so much he refused to call his son “Ted” for two years.

Ultimately, however, all this nickname stuff is meaningless.

im sorry but this guy is whiter than white. i dont believe his family gave him that name for one second. you know why, because you can look up the family on wiki. beto was definitley a think tank nickname they came up with to win votes in that part of tx. the guy is guilty of cultural appropriation which is something i thought the left hated. he couldnt even win tx against a guy alot of republicans are 50/50 on. the guy has gotten ahead by all the ways the left proclaims they hate and yet they press on with him.

if you wanna go down the conspiracy road that is becoming common on the right then go ahead. I just think it's HS level petty stuff. He's a white guy that grew up around Mexican Americans and is fluent in Spanish. I don't see how a nickname will be offensive to the masses on the Left, Center, or Reasonable right. I do know that "Leftist Twitter" doesn't like Beto but I think political pundits like Nate Silver are realizing they don't really accurately project what will happen in this primary bc on the ground in Iowa people seem to love him. And Republicans are not 50/50 on Cruz.

Learning Spanish was a political move and cultural appropriation!

You gotta love it. The Usual Suspects have deemed all of these Democrat Presidential candidates to be horribly flawed:
  • Beto - a white fraud
  • Bernie - a wild-eyed socialist
  • Biden - a crazy old gaff-machine
  • Klobuchar - a mean bitch
  • Warren - deliberately lied about her heritage in order to get ahead.
  • Booker - a closet homo
  • Harris - a whore who slept her way to the top.
Did I miss anything, guys?

And, get this, these critiques are from the same people who trumpet their support of Trump -- and see nothing at all wrong with HIS behavior.

Seriously, you can't make this stuff up!
:)

Why not address his fraud as city council?

Let me guess, you're the same guy who also didn't believe for one second the Obama birth announcement in the the Honolulu newspaper. His family faked it -- and his birth certificate -- to give the world the mistaken impression Baby Barack was born in the U.S. instead of Kenya.

You gotta keep your eyes out, right? Those damn Liberal parents are SO doggone devious and conniving when it comes to grooming their little Democrat Socialists to steal the country away from all of us good, decent, All-American Trumpsters, right?

These are the same people who still think that Liz Warren wasn’t just lying her way to the top while claiming to be a Native American

The same people who think the Covington kids had the public character assassination coming to them

The same people who were sure that Smollett was beaten up by a racist MAGA wearing white man just like he said

:joy:

All these people that think Trump committed fraud, where is the proof. My God it’s been over two years of unlimited investigations and still nothing. Meanwhile it was proven last week that the Obama DOJ knowingly clear d Hillary of a crime even though the top lawyer at the FBI wanted to indict her. It was also proven in released transcripts from the house that the entire Russia investigation was a lie as well. The left really needs to learn the definition of fraud.

At the end of the day, we really care most about the fact that these people are pathetic, deranged faux socialists who will pander to their extremist base to win and probably then destroy our economy to do the will of known dipshits like AOC.

We also care that most all of these people, like the fringe base they now serve, are lining up to adopt stances like: ICE must be banned, enforcing a border is racist, Late Term and Til Birth elective abortions are A-OK, and that we must shove things like Medicare for All and "Green New Deals" down the public throat before anyone cares to read a study regarding the cost and total impossibility of either being feasible.

But please, keep telling yourself these things are so trivial. By all means, run your far left culture warrior! :)

Big difference between business fraud and government fraud. I’m in the development business, if every developer that went to a bank and inflated their worth were convicted, there wouldn’t be too many buildings out there. It’s all about timing, if I have a residential tower and it’s not completed but the market value for those units are worth $1,000,000 is arch, guess what, many developers claim that value even though there not sold. Some banks allow it, others don’t, it’s up to the individual institutional. Now committing fraud while an elected official, that’s all together a different crime.

Actually it's the same crime you slimy old crook. If you think everyone in the development business is committing fraud and you're in the development business then you're probably wrongly assuming that everyone is as crooked as you. I assure you that many people just make good financial decisions and don't need to resort to defrauding banks.

Dumb unethical boomers are the reason the economy got crushed in 2008 and it sure doesn't look like you learned your lesson.
