Charlottesville

Let's just rewind so that you simpletons can understand things:

1. Nazis and their sympathizers are assholes
2. These assholes had a legally protected right to hold this rally. A judge decided that.
3. Everyone else on the other side had a legal right to counter protest this rally
4. Cops and local governments KNEW that the fringe elements would come out to fight
5. Antifa and their sympathizers attended specifically to start brawls with the alt-righter's who were happy to fight back
6. Police were virtually non existent as the brawls and fights spiraled out of control
7. It was after the scene had become an outright street war that the terrorist asshole plowed over people

The fact is that if police had been allowed to assert their presence and do their jobs from the beginning, and disperse the fighters, the injuries and death MAY have been avoided. To even argue this is absurd, childish, and pathetic.

LOL

My post was questioning why the entire local police and government failed to do anything to keep this whole debacle from spiraling out of control.

The NY Times just yesterday wrote an article wondering the same thing. Maybe you should write to them too, bitching and whining and calling them Nazi sympathizers.

Why didn't you just say "Man, I really hate Nazis. I can't believe they did this."

Thats the normal reaction. You immediately try to find a way that it's the Democrats fault. Such a strange reaction. You're hyper defensive of the Republican party to the point that you would try to shift the blame off of actual Nazis. You likely are too attached to a polital party and need to make a change in your life. This is an unhealthy reaction.

Why do I feel like you added #1 after you typed the rest of this out and then renumbered it?

You're past even debating with. Refer my post above. I know you'll still respond with "YEA BUT YOU DEFENDED NAZIS!" but please give critical thinking a try.

Maybe Obama should have tried that after ISIS and BLM Attacks yet he never did and the media protected him.

#why?

But, what about Obama?
But, what about G.W.?
But, what about Clinton?
But, what about Bush?
But, what about Reagan?

Who gives a flying fck??? Stop rationalizing one person's poor choices and behavior by comparing it to that of another. They're grown fcking men for Christ's sake. They make their own decisions - good, bad or indifferent. Judge them for the INDIVIDUAL they are and not by comparing them to another.

Or, maybe I should take the cues from some of you and if one of my daughters ever acts up in school and I have a parent-teacher/administrator conference about it, I should reply with "but, but, but, little Johnny did the same thing!!!". But, truth-be-told, I don't give a shit what little Johnny did. I hold my daughters to a much higher standard than little Johnny's parents and I'll be damned if I'll ever justify their behavior by comparing it to that little dickhead Johnny.

Nailed it. Been saying this the whole time. The slightest hint of an insult to the Republican party sets him off.

85 man we get it you vote Republican, that's cool and all but maybe consider the fact that it is actually possible for them to screw up from time to time.

I don't think you defended Nazis. I think you'll spin anything you can to try and attack libtards and communists lefty snowflake SJWs. You tried to shift the blame for a terrorist attack to Democrats and off of Nazis. I don't think you defended them but you were more concerned with how this would make republicans look than you were with uniting as a nation against KKK and Nazis.

lulz

Ok then. I'll just go along with you and the other lefties in insisting that our President is a Nazi sympathizer.

When do we march on DC to demand he be thrown in prison?

Done?

Go back and see the post I was responding to who was whining about Trump reading off a teleprompter, which was 2 days after his first public statements about the horrific attack.

Obama refused to evn read off a teleprompter BLM Assassinations of police force officers in Dallas or Baton Rouge or NYC or point blank attacks in Philly and in other cities...let alone ISIS attacks in the US and around the world and how that was ACCEPTED as OK by liberals and those in the mainstream media.

Why?

Still waiting for answer.

I never said that about Trump, nor do I believe it. I've never been a fan of the whole word play faux rage, I thought it was stupid when conservatives lost their shit on Obama for not saying radical Islam and I think it's stupid for liberals to lose their shit over Trump not saying KKK.

Please kindly give me a f*cking break. Unite the nation against the KKK? Newflash: that's pretty much already done. Charlottesville attracted nearly every hardcore racist in the country and they still barely got a few hundred to show. Insisting what we saw this weekend is somehow a national epidemic is absurd.

It should be inferred by most anyone with a brain here that everyone on this board hates "Nazis" and the KKK. It shouldn't even have to be said, unless you're someone fishing for a reason to fight with a conservative. What I suspect is what's going on here.

White Nazi rallies are nothing new. Those rallies spiraling into massive brawls and murder are new. Hence why I focused on the actual response and actions of police who are charged by the city to prevent this type of shit.

Eh...you know what? F*ck it. I know you'll just find a thinly veiled way to insisting we're letting Nazis off the hook. So go right ahead.

You don't deserve an answer because you're still pulling the same shit. It doesn't freaking matter what Obama did. Forget for a minute that Obama ever existed. Now, what would your response be to the teleprompter post?

Believe me, I didn't care for Obama and I absolutely don't care for Trump. But, once Trump is out of office (holy shit, if there's any type of god up there I hope it's in 3.5 years), you will never hear me compare the actions of the next president to that of Donald Trump. Only a damn ignoramus would make that comparison. It defies freaking logic.

Because Obama made mistakes. Killing should be universally and forcefully rejected. If Americans didn't think Obama went far enough then he should have gone further

Has Trump ever made a mistake or are we just going to talk about an old president's actions with no accountability for our current acting president to improve.

It doesnt feel like the nation is United against the Nazis. When a terrorist group kills an american in an attack and the president speaks out the terrorist group shouldn't be happy with what he said. If that happens then the president said the wrong thing.

Forceful rejection of hate groups is a requirement for a healthy America and we have many people who would rather blame democrats than stand against fellow Trump voters.

Is the President the Emperor? The Pope? The moral authority? This is the issue- many of you have created this aura in your minds about what the President should be, when in reality the office should be way less important than we've pumped it up to be.

Can you really not envision how every day people can be fully against Nazism without any "moral direction" from the President? Do you think people sit at home waiting for the President to speak before deciding whether or not to despise hate groups?

The guy spoke extremely stupidly on Saturday with the "both sides" comment. Which wasn't factually incorrect but wrong to say given we're talking about Nazis. He did, however, specifically repudiate hatred and bigotry, something that apparently is lost on everyone. He then apparently came to his senses and issued a proper commentary yesterday.

For the record- people like Richard Spencer started criticizing Trump immediately after he released his first statement. They got even madder as his wife and kids released theirs. They came out to now directly attack Trump for his comment yesterday. To insist that these groups "liked" what the President said is totally absurd and reckless.

@Knight_Light

Please see this for your question above about Obama and BLM.

I said... If republicans hear about a safety net program they cry "communism." That is the kind of "communism" I support. So I wasn't willing to disavow all "communism" because of Republican tendencies to lump it all in.

You then posted actual communists and I said "screw those guys."

When actual Nazis killed a white American woman you did what exactly? If I remember correctly you talked shit about democrats.

That's not communism. Conservatives rarely scream communism, it's socialism.

But there were two hate groups involved.

Sad I know you're joking but I'm sure many of our lefties here probably believe that.

They absolutely do. Clinton never denounced her endorsement from Klan leader Robert Byrd. Obama never denounced BLM starting riots or Islamic extremists terrorists. Nary a peep from the left, weird double standard.

Page 5 and Obama is still a person of interest in the ramming of a vehicle into a crowd in Charlottesville this past weekend.

Why are Trump and Republicans the main focus of this thread? I guess we were all in that car with the murderer?

Trump:
Because Trump has a responsibility to send a strong message against this and he didnt.

Republicans:
Voted for him

Hope that helps.

Looks like the white nationalists want to create even more events like this past weekend.

Meanwhile Richard Spencer is going to speak at UF next month(Sept. 12).

Things will go 1 of 2 ways: either people will let these idiots speak in whatever cramped room they are given to fulfil the school's 1st Amendment obligation and then leave never to be remembered again; or people will turn out to fight him and his followers and we'll get more brawls and melees in the streets.

Looks like gov officials will try to stay on top of the violence here at least.

Oh NOW you have a problem with that course of action? I can't just blame the other side when extremists kill someone?

Of course I would 100% say that any individual who kills someone went too far. The people who attacked the people in those pictures went too far and should never have been violent.

But all those people are alive. They went home. They had their kids tucked in to sleep and they crawled into bed with their cousins or sister's and went to sleep like any other day.
