The President says he's working with all the Governors yesterday on a coordinated plan for reopening. Hell, I was actually encouraged for a change. But today, as firm_bizzle reports, he's encouraging people to protest that we should be opening up RIGHT NOW....in Democrat-run States of course.

One of the restaurants in my town opened back up today. We don't have a quarantine order from the governor but the cops showed up and forced everybody to go outside and stand there while they talked to the business owner. They called in backup for no reason other than the owner said that she could open her doors unless a law said she couldnt. The police allowed the restaurant to place all of the food in carry-out containers and bring it to people standing in the parking lot.
This shit is going to get real. It won't start where I live but there will be a riot at some point over this.

In Florida all the restaurants are already open for carry out. I went in to Mellow Mushroom today and there were 4 people at the bar and several outside waiting for orders. I don’t think carrying out food vs sitting in a restaurant to eat is riot worthy.
You would think it isnt riot worthy, but plenty of irrational people in this country who think it is an assault on their liberty.
Tensions are just really high right now for everyone, police included. Its just a matter of time before people snap.

For what it’s worth New cases AND deaths went up yesterday. I’m hearing that peaks will be sooner and death toll predictions lower, so I have no idea where they are getting that information from
The lower bound of the IHME model released just yesterday is 34k total deaths on August 1. As of today we are at 38k. Their range for deaths today was 300-8000. So their accuracy leaves a lot to be desired.
I noticed that. I don’t put much faith in a model that says we will have 34,000 deaths when there are already 38,000. It’s like a weather forecaster predicting no rain today on this day
Yeah they are calling for 60k by August 1. We will be over that by May 1. By August 1 we'll be well over 120k. They envision a steeper decline than we have seen anywhere.

That article was sensationalizing things a little bit. Grand island is about 40 minutes away from me and I'm friends with a couple of nurses that work in "the hospital" (there's 2 actually) and they both told me that the hospital isn't overwhelmed. Its being taken seriously, but it isnt anywhere near as dire as that article makes it sound

That’s why travel must be restricted somewhat. However Nebraska was never in lockdown, so they could be spreading it amongst themselves. The point is that opening up the economy did not cause this spike, because it hasn’t really even happened yet
