Once the Minneapolis criminals see that the big, bad racist police are gone, they are all going to start turning their lives around. It will be Gods country. Truly harmonious
I think its awesome. Completely pull out of the black neighborhoods there and see if this experiment could work. If not, we can put an end to the nonsensical idea that cops=less security. If it does, that could be a model for the country and prove to the actual racists that black people aren't as primitive as they paint them to be. Seems like a win-win experiment.

Chicago just had its' deadliest single day since 1961 and that's only because the crime lab data doesn't go back beyond 1961.
18 people killed on Sunday alone. Nearly 100 people shot over 2 days. 99% of those shot or killed were black people.
This is a good preview of a city without a police force capable of containing crime. As a reminder, Chicago has been governed exclusively by Democrats since 1931.

This guy and his 50 employees are bailing on Minneapolis purely from the total failure of the city to protect his business during the rioting.

Wyrobek said the plant, which usually operates until 11 p.m., shut down about four hours early on the first night of the riots because he wanted to keep his workers out of harm’s way. He said a production supervisor and a maintenance worker who live in the neighborhood became alarmed when fire broke out at the $30 million Midtown Corner affordable housing apartment complex that was under construction next door.
“The fire engine was just sitting there,” Wyrobek said, “but they wouldn’t do anything.”

Not to be technical, but that accounts for the entire metropolitan area including suburbs in 3 states that aren’t actually Chicago/Crook County and pay homage to the big city but aren’t actually ruled by their police and the remnants of the Daley crime family.

I'd love to know exactly how they would like to accomplish this. Even if they got all 50 states to go along with it, sheriff's departments don't answer to anyone but the voters in their county. Are they going to go county by county and convince 51% of voters to vote against their own law enforcement in totality?
The irony in this whole defund the police movement that BLM is pushing is exactly the same thing that the southern states wanted. Neither wanted an authority telling them what they can or can't do. They just want to live their lives in the manner they see is best regardless of whether it is morally sound. Fine, defund the police and then also defund the government security blanket that is welfare. If they've got this thing figured out then let them secede from the union and stop receiving the benefits that come with being a US citizen altogether.

Imagine being such a racist POS that you would actually defend criminal activity based on the color of a person's skin. That black people shouldn't receive the same consequence of assaulting a cop and potentially killing them because black people don't know any better. Imagine being so racist that you justify people burning down stores, restaurants, and hospitals because "those people" want law to administered equally but shouldn't be held to the same standard as white people. Imagine holding white people from 200 years ago to a higher standard than you hold black people today and actually believing that you don't think one is an inferior race.

You better read up on the Civil War. The south was pissed because they weren't being treated the same as the north economically. The ended up wanting autonomy from the government that they felt was oppressing them. Whether its judicial or legislative makes no difference. We can justify it based on what we view as the moral or ethical highground in hindsight, but it still comes back to the same issue: wanting to be allowed to live your life the way you see fit.
They wanted to own slaves, it is literally in the cecessation articles in almost all of the southern states. Owning slaves is not allowing people "to live your life the way you see fit". And nobody is asking for autonomy from the government, they are asking for a more fair and just system. The fact you are literally trying to compare people who wanted to own slaves, to people who want to be treated fairly and equally, is quite telling though.
