Delicious Bull Tears Mega Thread

It's like the schmuck who got beat to a pulp saying "But I have a better gym at home than you." aka "My Dad's bigger than your Dad."

Sending money to an endowment is last century. Read this and then tell me what an endowment does. You want to improve UCF sports, create a collective and start buying players. BYU's got a guy paying the tuition for all 30 of their walk-on players, giving them 120 scholarships. For sports, collectives are the present/future, endowments are meaningless.

Ok, I've got to give this USF poster some credit, this is pretty funny. From their board:

We are currently ranked 72 overall and 24 In transfers based mostly on volume as our average ranking is pretty bad.
I have always stressed quantity over quality so we are in a position to have very little talent however we are deep in every position with substandard talent. So if we experience injuries we will see very little fall off due to the consistency of already playing at a very low level. We may be awful but we are consistent.

I'd be going through the same thought process

Gave some fodder to the Finebaum crowd ...

From the cockpit of USF Airlines: Ladies and gentlemen I would like to thank you all for flying with us today. We really do appreciate your patronage, but I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news first - We've suffered an electrical failure and lost all of our navigation instruments. We're flying in the blind and are hopelessly lost. But the good news is that we have a tailwind so we're ahead of schedule.

That #1 transfer class aged like day old bread with moisture in the bag…any competent person could tell it was all about quantity, they weren’t getting any known names. What a laughable fan base.

God I REALLY hope so. I feel like FAU is already a better, more consistent program. They were about to whoop usf in 2020 until the game got canceled, what a shame.
I like FAU. I don't root for any other Florida teams but they know who they are, make good hires, and seem to be doing their best so I respect that. Also got a good laugh out of them doing that Knightro bonfire.

I guess they remind me of us.

Remember when they were thumping their chest about having the #1 transfer class? Because they took 12 guys while good teams were preparing for bowl games?

They are now at #28, with ZERO Top 100 transfers.

We are now #14 (highest G5 team) with 4 Top 100 transfers & 3 guys in the Top 10 at their position (Hudson, Hunter, Lewis).

usf sucks again......

As reported by USF home town newspaper the Tampa Bay Times on signing day. This was USF top recruit: 9:15 update: USF announced the addition of Michael Williams, a three-star linebacker from Michigan. He’s the nation’s No. 394 overall recruit, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and the top prospect in the Bulls’ class.
Meanwhile UCF:
10 update: National signing day isn’t only about high school recruits. Just ask UCF.
The Knights have officially added Maryland transfer Terrence Lewis. He was a five-star linebacker and the nation’s No. 21 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle out of Miami Central. That, obviously, gives the Knights a jolt of high-end talent for this season. UCF has also added several other transfers, including former Gators tight end Kemore Gamble and Mississippi quarterback John Rhys Plumlee.

Kind of like being ranked #2 after 7 weeks....when it only matters what you are ranked after the season is over. It's just a number until then, and still, it is just a number, and nothing more. The only thing that really matters is collecting hardware.

I doubt anybody has a screenshot of their #4 ranking (after the season is over) sitting in their trophy case.

Okie light is just a more athletic and better overall version of Tulsa
I think in football we are 0-0 with OK and OK State. But we have never never beat Tulsa in Tulsa. Kinda like our now expired win streak against Memphis. Memphis has never beat UCF in Orlando. It is interesting how these streaks come about with different player coaches etc. Similar results.

Nah. They will be in the Big 10. They are probably looking for another bottom 10 program in terms of success in the 2 biggest NCAA sports that can only meet FBS attendance requirements by fudging the numbers.

I think they fall under definition #2

Skip Holtz talks about leaving ECU

“You go to East Carolina in Greenville, and you’re the only show in town,” Holtz said. “It’s what everybody supports. I’ve always said, if you want to rob a bank, you do it Saturday at about 6 o’clock during a football game, cause everybody is at the stadium. All of a sudden you get to Tampa, and yeah there’s a lot going on, there’s pro ball, you have the Bucs and the Rays, it’s a completely different feel. It’s a big city to a small town.”

According to Skippy the grass is not always greener. ECU just gave Mike Houston a raise and extension, so I don't think Skip is going back anytime soon. Maybe Skip will get the North Texas job since their coach Seth Littrell is on the hot seat. With great recruiting in Texas and Florida that would provided Skip a path to beat down USF in conference play.
