I for one don’t joke about them being preeminent because doesn’t it mean they get millions of dollars more from the state just because of that designation?
I'm not sure. That is what it was supposed to mean but when they met the criteria for preeminence the state of Florida didn't want to pay up. Not sure if they've paid at this point.
I believe the State removed those designations and the dollars that went with them. Correct me if I’m wrong.

They outplayed us for the most part in our stadium. We needed a miracle clock management debacle to escape.
Guys, given that usfs admin is getting their act together because they got left behind, should we just get usf into the Big 12 so they start being crap again?
If they put the money in, sure.

Right now it's looking very much latter ... by a wide margin.

USF has already been taking from their general donor fund for years, and not making it athletic-specific like us. If they get to pull an UAB ... and get a stadium built for them, I'll be the first ones screaming.
Their donor levels are nowhere near Big XII. Even ours are pretty low overall (not in number, but level) for the Big XII.
