Delicious Bull Tears Mega Thread

That 46 ranking is misleading. They're 46 if you only include public institutions but 103 nationally. For their fans who think they're close to AAU status, there are 64 AAU schools in the US.

That said, they have made some great faculty hires and received a lot of big grants.

Where are these ****tards ranked 46th? I've spent alot of time this year looking at rankings with my daughter. Both schools are ranked in the hundreds everywhere I've seen and usually pretty close to each other.

"Pretty sure the same reason ours wasn’t streamed in past."

The difference is that UCF will have a decent attendance at the spring game. Duh*Bulls will not. You would think they would want to do some outreach and at least attempt to get people to attend or at least pay attention.

Just curious...but why is she the next Genshaft? bc she's a woman?
She’s in her 70’s, a lawyer, and she graduated undergrad from USF. The school didn’t get qualified people from around the country to apply because 1. UF has their job opening this summer and 2. everyone assumed Rhea Law was going to be given the keys from USF (it was a fake search)

Wouldn't want our team to get publicity or fan engagement right now would we?
'Hiding our game plans and schemes from opponents' are you serious?? Reeks of someone in over their head doing something dumb that *they* think is really smart...like when Greg Schiano had the Bucs rush victory formations. But at least Schiano actually let people record his preseason games.

This is more like 'tell me you suck at in game adjustments without telling me you suck at in game adjustments'.

In my opinion, they're so uncompetitive they need any little advantage they can get. Including not streaming the spring game. Will it help? No. But if Jeff Scott doesn't get them 5 wins this year he's going to lose the team and all the fans.

Nothing against Scott, but I'd love to see their fans throw him under-the-bus, and get him -- like almost every USF coach (sans Taggart) -- yet another sweet payoff to not coach ... yet again! I think it might even benefit Scott to get out from that administration too ... especially with 7 figures. ;)

Oh I’m sure our leadership will tell us what a great idea it is to continue to help UCF grow. It’s good for both of us, remember? Oh and we’d be a package deal. Instead, we’re their bit**! UCF should have a Genshafted Drive.

This narrative always cracks me up. That they ever did anything to lift us up or that they were responsible in any way for our success is a joke

Numerous quotes from Beaker indicating they wanted no part of UCF...suggesting a pompous attitude they were better than us in their 10yr history. What Beaker didn't realize college football is cyclical and because they never built a strong foundation of decades of play time their fans were quick to give up the ship when time got tough.

There’s a sweet little thread going on over there now about replicating UCF’s success. It’s a nice bowl of tears going on, stemming from this article. They all real hot and bothered by it…

My favorite quote from that article:

"I really believe we're getting ready to enter a phase here in the next five years where we're really going to have an opportunity to move up in a lot of areas," Scott said.

Did they forget they were part of the Big 4 in Florida not that long ago? I guess cows don't know how to spell "irony".

I can't tell you why, but I hope they get back to .500 this year. Maybe all these years of hearing their fans opinions and following the decline of the program has made me feel like I know where they're coming from. And they're coming from a real shi*ty place right now.

We all wanted a strong USF, which works well for UCF ... and would have as a travel partner in the Big XII.

Instead, the arrogant ****s made fun of our stadium, our championships, and said we were stupid to focus on graduation rates than on-the-field success, as we graduated over 90%, and them under 10% while the NCAA 'looked the other way' on 3x as many 'hardship waivers' than any other program.

They ****ed themselves, including firing every coach that couldn't win as they finally had to deal with kids on graduating, and are only now -- 15 years later -- admitting they now need to do what we did. But even then, it's, "We're building a real IPF" and "We're not going to build a stadium until we can get a real one."

So they are S. Florida, not USF. They were the disgrace of the Big East academically, and the bitch of the rest of the conference in basketball. And now they get FAU and Rice in the AAC.

The only suggestion I can make is that we UCF fans don't be too arrogant going into the Big XII. We're probably going to be one of the new bitches of the basketball league (at least men's basketball), and we are still rebuilding in football.

In the Big XII, we should be anything but how S. Florida was in the Big East.

$400 million dollars? $400!

That's reaching NFL stadium prices.

Where in the hell are they going to find that kind of money?!
I think they are hoping for an UAB-like situation.
But I don't see that happening with the Bucs in-town.

In the UAB-like situation, they wanted something for a Semi-Pro team.
The USFL is working out well for them in that regard too.

OMG, the hits keep coming. LOL...
Here’s a Bool’s fan with a sensible take but it still makes me chuckle…

”And stop all the stupid I4 gimmicks that makes us look stupid when we fall on our faces. No more special uniforms, boards, belts etc. just expect to win, demand to win, and hold coaches accountable if they don’t win.”

Every time we watch a UCF game vs USF, my wife makes a comment about their horrible looking uniforms. I tell her I love them because it almost always seems to work in our favor!
KEEP THE SLIME!!!!!!!

What do I want to see? The cows spend $250 million on a stadium...struggle to repay the bonds...and bankrupt their athletics program. That is what they deserve.

There is no way they can build a $400 million stadium. I have read and analyzed the UCF Stadium Corporation financial report from a few years ago. Financing any more than $75 - $100 million of the stadium with bonds is likely not feasible for usf since there is no way they can generate the revenue necessary to pay those bonds off. That means they would have to raise $150 - $175 million in cash from donors just to reach the point of getting a financial plan approved to build a $250 million stadium.

in their fantasy their political connections will manifest tax dollars to help build the stadium.

That's CA construction prices man, they aren't the same in other parts of the country.
Atlanta’s Stadium cost 1.5 Billion 5 years ago. Construction prices are a lot higher now. Dallas Jumbotron cost $40 Mil by itself quite a few years ago.

Really getting into their salty feelings now…

it all started when leavitt chose not to play them anymore
There was absolutely no reason to play them ever again 0-4 and no more was where this manufactured “rivalry” was meant to end. If you play with **** you are going to get some on you and if you want a “rivalry” at all costs well the costs could be more than you realized. We had left them for dead in our rear view mirror and then decided you know what can really get us ahead? Going back and becoming a package deal with the road kill, everyone should have seen this coming and if Judy has been blackballing them that’s the smartest thing she ever did with athletics, changing that position is the problem not having it to begin with.

their hubris ... they had no say in being left on the sinking big east ship and that's the only reason the "rivalry" was restarted, it was a conference game.

Everybody knows they only re-announced their on campus stadium because UCF was invited to the Big 12. They did it to save face in that moment and have no idea if they can actually pull it off.

They definitely don't have the donors for it. Their best bet is for a wealthy alum to die or for the state of FL to pay for it.

Sorry I want Jeff replicating Clemson not C.
Clemson's success is rooted in reality not delusion.
C. has a popsicle stick stadium with a fake national championship claim on it.
It's endearing that some want to replicate that. I don't.

This sums up the cows perfectly. "We have to skip to the front of the line. We are better than that." As if Jeff Scott had anything to do with Clemson's success; and as if the cows are even close to what Clemson was in its worst days. Gads, maybe you should trying winning something first. Maybe you should focus on winning in the American. Maybe you should consider a stadium that you can actually afford and support, and call it your own

By Cowpuc‘s logic, the Gators should stop playing Tennessee since the Vols are 0-11 in their recent series history. Speaking of the Gators, they should also quit playing the ”road kill” Calves since they’re 0-2 vs them. Same logic. 😆😂😝
