DeSantis: Florida shouldn’t ‘monkey this up’

Do 85, Wayne, and others really believe in giving legacy benefits but not minority benefits? My God that’s racist.
Why is it racist? Are legacies only white? I think you’re pretty damn racist for instantly assuming that minorities aren’t legacies as well.

Funny.

For UCF yes. You are correct.

For schools that let minorities attend recently, not so much. Then it’s only one generation. You guys should open a history book.

one generation is all it takes. If you want to attack the Ivies, that’s fine. Those liberal bastions need to practice what they preach. But I’m not sold this is a problem system-wide and I don’t think it’s color-based other than green.

Doesn't everyone know that the only reason there aren't legacy non whites is because minorities are a bunch of lazy unmotivated poor people? They probably haven't even tried not being poor!

Jesus fuking Christ you people are fuking pathetic.

Back on topic, ladies.

1) Obviously, we grant Obama an "m-word" pass.

2) Chuck Schumer was clearly talking about Ben Carson (I know this because he's a bigoted fascist who probably pours ketchup on his fries instead of dipping them like a normal law-abiding citizen)

3) Obviously Dianne Feinstein's comment was a thinly veiled attack on Herman Cain, who had tried to run for office a mere 4 years prior (I know this because aside from being a racist homophobe, she's that person who orders water with lemon and proceeds to use the free sugar packets at the table to concoct her own lemonade, thus circumventing the $2.49+tax she would've paid to have a regular lemonade from the fountain like a true patriotic American)

When you do a search like this for similar speech, you’re essentially exploring hundreds of thousands if not millions of hours of written or verbal communication. You do this to try to find any prominent left leaning person who’s made similar comments over the course of MANY years. Although other people have made comments using the word monkey, the situations still differ from the DeSantis situation for a number of reasons.

1) The expression itself (monkey it up) is one that basically no one uses...ever.
2) The expression was made when describing a black man and his “socialist” policies.
3) The expression was made immediately after DeSantis won his primary. This was one of the biggest televised moments of his life...and this is how he chose to introduce himself to the state (and the country). To think that he wasn’t prepared for this moment and hadn’t thought about what he was going to say is ridiculous.
4) As far as I know, he hasn’t issued an apology. If I was at a dinner table and said something that was perceived as racist by a minority, I would apologize and explain myself. He refuses to do so.

And you know damn well that if someone said that electing Ben Carson would “monkey up the country”, it’d be on Fox News for the next 15 years.

Agree with most of what you said here. The only thing I’d contend with is that Gillum has aligned himself with socialists like Bernie Sanders and is pushing for “Fair Share” programs and to jump full into socialized healthcare policies. Even though his website doesn’t read full on socialist, there are enough concerns there that you could take the quotations off of “socialist” above.

Racist prick.

It's politics. Latching on to sound clips is campaigning 101.

Trump's whole candidacy was lying and taking insulting jabs at people. DeSantis will likely do the same.

This should be a really interesting race. It's Ultra-right v. Ultra-left.
DeSantis wants to lower corporate taxes and cut out government. He doesn't want to fund education and he wants the environment to go more to hell. LOSER

I think you morons all said that about Scott and yet FL is better than ever.

PS- you truly argue like a child. I asked prior but never got an answer- are you 13? Or someone who never obtained a GED?
