And yes, you’re welcome to believe Trump was sending a crowd of people to the Capitol because he actually thought they would stop the election results and keep him in power if you’re that stupid. He was holding a rally because he loves attention. There was never any chance that a few thousand nobodies could keep him in office. If you think they could, you’re dumber than I thought. If you have been keeping up with this, you would realize it was far more than Trump wanting attention. They had actual war rooms set up in a hotel, they had a powerpoint discussing plans to throw out the election, he was calling senators during the riot to delay the vote, etc etc.

It's a legitimate question. Congress is allowed to investigate when it can influence or give guidance on a legislative action. Anything short of that falls on the executive branch, so what exactly is the purpose of this investigation from a legislative point?
