Russian invasion into Ukraine is imminent

The truth is Russia is finished. The only thing to be decided is how many civilians they want to kill on their way out. Putin and the Russian army is a joke that everyone fell for.
It was still a proxy war and still a lot of civilians died... along with a lot of defense spending and just direct shipment of money.

But the war hawks will call it a great victory. At least it was in defense of a country for once, although it has been a very troubled country.

Kinda like Finland was before the Winter War.

A proxy war? Tell that to the Ukrainian soldiers.
and still a lot of civilians died...
Yep. From the very beginning, Russia has shown zero interest in 'playing by the rules' of warfare.
along with a lot of defense spending and just direct shipment of money.
Sooooooo...NATO should've just "looked the other way" and allow the Russians to kill even more Ukrainian civilians?

No one is going to call me a war hawk but when civilized countries that value democracy and freedom see Putin's army invade an independent country and start bombing the sh*t out of it, what were we supposed to do?

Let me guess, sit back and passively allow it to happen with the excuse, "Oh, Ukraine was a troubled country anyway," right?

Right. Like what could go wrong with letting Russia conquer Ukraine? Oh yeah...like how all of Europe let Hitler do what he wanted as long as he didn't invade them. How did that work out? Appeasing dictators only leads to even more bloodshed in the long run. That is why we have NATO. NATO has NEVER invaded a sovereign nation. Putin made the miscalculation of thinking that NATO would bend to his will over their energy needs. Like I said before. Putin is an idiot and some people equate brutality with strength and intelligence.

You utterly missed the history lesson in that. Geez, this board really is made of 3rd graders!

I.e., Do you know anything about the Winter War? **
E.g., this applies to Putin as much as the west!

People need to stop accusing me of agreeing or disagreeing with two (2), simplistic, childish 'sides.' I'm just merely pointing out the complications that are resulting, and will gravely affect history as a result.

Remember, the US helped create the problem by helping Russia before 2014, as well as giving into NATO encroaching, actually violating our agreements, which is why Putin had heavy, domestic support too. Some of those people were actually on the left, not just the right ... and even campaign managers for Clinton.

That's not so dissimilar to Afghanistan and the mess we created there too, which ... is why we Americans keep repeating history, and having to waste massive amounts of money.

** P.S. Also interesting analogy to Hitler, since -- quite innocent -- Finland ended up siding with Hitler as a result. History is never black'n white. But, again, this board is for 3rd graders and popular opinions, not deep ones.

Just fyi since you are new here, you are "arguing" with our resident mentally ill person. He lives in an alternate universe, with a false sense of reality. He honestly needs professional help, must of us just put him on ignore unless you enjoy trying to convince flat earthers they are wrong.

So, tell all of us 3rd graders who is the new Nazi Germany in your little 'Ukraine is the new WWII Finland' analogy?

Tell me why you guys are 3rd graders and cannot except that history is repeating itself, and want to map things to evil v. good, etc., axis v. allies, et al.?

We literally ****ed with Russia and Ukraine, as did NATO, and we're paying the price. And until Americans step back and take responsibility for some of that, this will happen over and over and over again.

Please understand how Putin was easily able to get >>95% of the country to support this war in the first place. Maybe it's because the US has no credibility whatsoever in how it's conducted itself since 1991, including ...

Even helping the Russians undermining democracy in Ukraine too!

Who knew the invasion of Ukraine was our fault all along??!? I'm guessing this "history lesson" from UCFBS has clearly flown over our "3rd Grader" heads (again).

But rest assured -- as with all of his other verbose 'points' -- ten years from now we'll all suddenly have an a-ha moment and realize he was right all along.

Absolutely hysterical to watch Fatty Mooseknuckle be wrong at every turn with this whole Russia thing and turn around and scream THIRD GRADERS!!!!!!!!!

Go back to school, ditchpig. And STFU.

a stray missile landed in Poland and killed 2 …
Should be interesting how NATO responds. Personally I would respond by targeting the area where the missiles were launched from. Also I would give Ukraine longer range missiles to take out Russian ammo depos that are used to attack Ukraine. Even inside the Russian border.

You guys don't even realize that you're just proving my point. And no, I won't STFU @KnighttimeJoe because I'm tired of this country being in massive debt and more people dying because we keep repeating history.

Again ... how could Putin get >>95% of his citizens to agree with the invasion in the first place? Maybe it's because NATO and the US were doing what they wanted any way? Violating agreement after agreement? And even after that, Podesta, like other Americans politicians and lawyers was an agent of Russia in the Ukraine, undermining Ukrainian democracy, until 2014, then the US 'flipped'?

We, the US, were helping Russia interfere in Ukraine. We did the same sh-- in Iraq with Iran too. Afghanistan. Libyian rebels. Syria and Israel. Vietnam, Cambodia, et al. I could go on and on. We keep doing this!

And it's easy to show the US 'interferes' with elections in other countries far, far more than Russia! Heck, Obama basically ensured Brexit by threatening Britains who voted Brexit and it came off completely different than intended. Which is my point ... we interfere so f'ing much, and we are so arrogant, we have no standing!

If we would just STFU ourselves, and actually work with what is important to other countries ... maybe that would solve a lot? But nope, we'll just have Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya and go for the 'short-term political gain.' We'll cheer on W., Clinton, Biden, et al. for their bold interference plans.

And you guys wonder how our politicians divide us and conqueror us, getting us into wars? Wasteful spending? How the oligarchy lives on?! We repeat this over and over and over! But sure, make fun of me, the messenger, and utterly miss the real message.

It's just like ignoring all the resignations at the FDA over approvals of vaccines, despite no data showing they worked, and even their review teams and heads of vaccine divisions questioning (now showcased in FOIA releases) and even flaggergasted and voting directly against Pharma CEOs and submissions? You guys don't want to look at the details, the transcripts, the FOIA.

You literally look at now, and not the past 2 years, or 10 years, or even how and why we had vaccine shortages 20+ years ago when vaccines were a loss for Pharma, but suddenly now a revenue requirement. You're just proving my points ... entirely. I mean, right there!

Yeah, it's a real mystery how a dictator like Putin can be so wildly popular with his people.

What's even more amazing is how Putin's army can invade Ukraine and even after civilian attrocities, the people in these occupied territories stepped up and voted -- in overwhelmingly numbers I might add -- to become part of Russia.

Lmmfao. This Buffet Slayer actually thinks that 95% of the Russians are in favor of this war.

My God, he’s beyond stupid.

Once upon a time, the cornerstone of the Republican Party platform was first and foremost, National Security.

It will be interesting to see if its elected House of Representatives members stay true to it over the next two years.

The UCFBS quote was just one of a whole series of "WTF?" posts here by our pro-Putin crowd.

I find it ironic that HALF of the Republican House didn't even bother to attend the Ukrainian President's address to Congress. The Gipper would've been rolling over in his grave!

For the record, if Ronald Reagan were still alive today and present in that chamber, he would have been the first person to stand and applaud when Zalensky said "Your money is not charity. It is an investment in global security and democracy..." Once upon a time, that was the cornerstone of the Republican Party. And now? They've become Putin's mouthpiece in America.

At no time have I been pro-Putin. That's what's wrong with the woke mob in this country. If you're not lambasting someone, and trying to understand them, and how they gain their power, and actually reading experts on the matter ... you're a fool, an idiot, and pro-someone.

This mob mentality is just beyond self-defeating. We caused most of the issues in the Ukraine when our own politicians, lobbyists and the oligarchy was helping the Russians undermine Ukranian democracy up to 2014. That was well before Trump, and it's laughable that we blame Trump for it.

Let alone the energy dependency on Russia in most of the EU and NATO ... it was the one thing both W. and Trump tried to get us out of. The left, both Obama and now Biden, just literally 'cut off' NATO from our own agreements, the ones we made along with the Harper and subsquent Canadian administrations.

It's such a joke how much you guys literally don't know this stuff. It's amazing, and it's not debated in expert circles. But this Russiagate BS has blinded you to the fact that Americans were helping the Russians well before Trump came along. It's such a ****ing joke that people don't know this.

It's why the Ukranians hate the woke left and Biden, like Obama, administrations too! At least the Trump administration did a lot to train the Ukranians, along with our NATO allies.

UCFBS apparently doesn't understand that the unique thing about message boards is that folks can go back and review all the Russian sympathizing BS you've posted in this thread and come to their own conclusion.
I was with Trump on pulling out of NATO.
Hmmmm...would this be a pro-Putin or anti-Putin stance?

And when I asked you about Trump siding with Putin over his own intelligence agencies, we got this gem from you:
The last President sided with non-interference. I didn't agree with him sometimes, but ... yeah, that was his policy. Guess what? It worked well enough.
Then we got this UCFBS Classic that Knighttime Joe highlighted:
Please understand how Putin was easily able to get >>95% of the country to support this war in the first place.
And this:
Biden, like Trump, appeals to his media base. Why? Demonizing Russia is popular in the US.

And people wonder why it's so easy to get the Russian populace to think little of us?
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, the odds are good its a duck.

saying Ukrainians hate Biden is one of the the dumbest lines I have read on this forum. The guy that stood up before most of Europe , shared intelligence, and is unapologetic in proving aid is not hated there

Sometimes I feel I woke up in a different reality where "right is wrong" , "left is right" , "good is bad", etc. And how in hell can more people believe the world is flat in the 21st century than in 14th century? At the current pace the human race is doomed. If aliens landed and asked me if I wanted I ride I think I'd take my chances.

Because we say one thing, just for marketing, but mean another. Like when's the last time a Pro-Solar Amendment was actually Pro-Solar? Most Green things are like that, and everyone is Greenwashing. Then there's Vaxwashing, and now? Ruswashing.

BTW, I think SBF said it best recently ...

The US utterly interfered with Ukraine until 2014, in favor of Russia. That was well before Trump, and it's why Ukranians don't trust us either.

I tend to understand the problems, instead of following the mob. E.g., Adlai Stevenson, Cyrus Vance, et al. ... there are so many who did that as well. Playing devil's advocate, being the sole detractor in the room, to much hate ... it's very common. Especially if you understand the other side, and what they are thinking.

Again, and this is the continuing repeat of history ...

Correct. The US undermined Ukranian Democracy for years. US Politicians, Lobbyists and Lawyers were quite involved. Podesta was a huge one.

This is why you're ignorant of history.

This gem of yours ranks right up there with your assertion that 95% of Russians support Putin's war in Ukraine.
Yes, because of NATO encroachment by Clinton, then W. Romney brought this up over and over a good decade ago, and the Russian polls in the media covered it extensively. The US and NATO made promises to Russia in 1990.

And you don't know jack about the W-Harper promises made to NATO on energy. You don't understand why Canadians are building pipelines and terminals, and think other countries are against pipelines and fight them. We're pretty much the only country.

The Canadians even have a specific bumpersticker they put on their cars for those that regularly drive to the US.

This is why you're ignorant of history.

Do people not actually go back decades to understand things? I guess that's why we ****ed with Afghanistan too. Sigh ...

Ukranians don't trust the United States? 🤪
Correct. This is why you're ignorant of history.
I know its not very 'historical' since it happened last week but I could have sworn President Zelensky addressed Congress and thanked every American family and asked that God forever bless the United States of America.

If you saw it, you've gotta admit that shyster did one hell of a job of covering up his peoples' distrust of Americans.

I know its not very 'historical' since it happened last week but I could have sworn President Zelensky addressed Congress and thanked every American family and asked that God forever bless the United States of America.
Again, everytime you post, you just prove my point. And you don't even understand it. And when you then try to backtrack, like you did on guns, just like the Seahawks prior, being that you don't know anything, historically, on the topic ... you finally just 'shut down' because, you've just 'exposed yourself.'

This is yet another. E.g., shall I quote the Iraqis and Taliban who said similarly too? :)

If you saw it, you've gotta admit that shyster did one hell of a job of covering up his peoples' distrust of Americans.
Of course the US Media covers what Zelensky says that makes us look good. Only some of the US Media covers what he says when he's complaining about us, including historically. You literally are that ignorant.

We literally have politicians in leadership and their staffs who helped overthrow the elected leader of Ukraine with trumped up charges, in order to install a leadership that favored Moscow and (what would become) the EEU, over the EU.

You literally don't know your history. And it's laughable how you talk about Trump and the Russians. There is nothing that ties Trump to the Russians other than the disproven, fraudulent, Russiagate. And every time people bring up Flynn being a registered foreign agent of Turkey, I just laugh, because Podesta literally was outed in FOIA that he was a registered foreign agent of Russia, helping his brother undermine Ukraninan democracy.

Again, you act like the US and its lawyers and politicians helping the Russians never existed, because it wasn't last week, and somehow still believe all the debunked non-sense about Trump and the FISA BS. I literally cannot believe people defend Hillary, because her lawyer wasn't convicted, when the entire transcripts of the case showcase how they literally abused the FISA courts, and got the DOJ to tell the FBI to lie to its own agents, and completely complete fraud in the FISA courts.

I still cannot believe people don't understand that. But then again, they still lambast Romney in 2012 calling it out, and Obama looking like the biggest Russian supporter.

But that's how people like you are. You will literally just expose yourself when posting. Of course the Ukranians will take our support ... now ... when we offer it. It doesn't mean they trust us at all! And I don't blame them!

You literally act like history doesn't exist. You have no ability to be objective.

I will admit that your babbling often gets so g'damned batsh*t crazy that I can't take it any longer. Most of the time -- like this gem about Ukraine's 'lack of trust' in America -- you make no sense what so ever.

Regarding your babbling about 2014, the Ukranian people threw out their corrupt President who--guess what?--was a Russian puppet. Weird how a Ukrainian civil servant could amass billions of dollars worth of wealth, huh? And guess where he landed when this joker fled fled the country? Yep, good ol' Mother Russia.

Were there US lobbiest supporting Russian interests at the time? I have no doubt. Were there American interests working to overthrow the crook? I wouldn't doubt that either. But the notion that we partnered with Russia to overthrow Ukrainian 'democracy' is utterly ridiculous.

If you want to talk about trying to screw over Ukraine, how about we talk about President Trump's extortion attempt?
