Kaepernick supports Castro .... has communism been winning a lot recently?
I never understood how someone who is speaking out against “oppression” can use Castro as an icon. I get that there was a revolution, but how can you ignore all that happened after that?

Still using your grandfather's lines huh? Same thing was said about King.

If you support Castro well enough to wear a shirt (more than once) and then complain about the MIAMI Dolphins passing on you .... well .... the saying "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" comes to mind.

The ironic thing is that the liberals absolutely cannot separate Trump voters from 100% of Trump's actions ... can't separate something good Trump does from all of the bad .... They can't support a Trump nominee Judge Kavanaugh even though he gets the highest rating from the ABA, is known to support women and minorities with his ACTIONS not just his words, and is supported by a current liberal member of the supreme court.

Yet ... somehow liberals can forgive everything Castro has done because they like universal healthcare???? B.S. Even they know it ... and it's laughable to watch them defend it.

Hypocritical .... to the 10,000th degree ... and intellectually dishonest at the bare minimum.

LOL. Looks like the butthurt little lefties are angry that I’m pointing out that their favorite poster child praised Castro...

Didn't you get the memo? Thanks to our Commander-in-Chief, totalitarianism is totally cool now.

Who cares if Russia killed a person with chemical weapons on English soil, Putin is our friend now.

Man ... I thought liberals hated the idea of us being the "world's police". Now you want us to take action because a Russian agent killed a guy in London? Sheesh ... stick to one side

Somebody needs a diaper change.
Actually, being a Libertarian, I defended "K" ... until this.
After that, I said, "You made your bed."

At some point, people get tired of those filled with pure negativity and blame.

@DaShuckster - This is why we Libertarians get tired of the Democratic-controlled US media.

That stuff happened during the early Obama administration as well.
NATO was getting pissed off at the 'non-interference' Obama administration during Russian aggression -- especially when they rolled out S-400, but Obama wouldn't sell THAAD after both the prior Clinton and W. administrations promised it.

The total level of hypocrisy of the Democratic-controlled media is endless

Either we challenge the Russians ... or not.
But right now the left looks absolutely hypocritical.

All and only because the Republican candidate was more 'non-interference' for the first time in a half-century.

Now you move from Castro to Trump. You are making Kaep's point by doing everything to avoid talking about racial profiling and disparities in the criminal justice system.

Meanwhile, stuff like this keeps happening buts let's talk about Kavanaugh.

In Tampa, a black woman in a Wal Mart called the cops on a white man who was holding hands with a young black boy. He was his Big Brother and former news anchor. The cops showed up at the man's house under suspicion he was harming the black boy.

Where do I find an athlete to highlight this injustice?

The "see something, say something" in this country is what bothers me.

It should actually be ...

"See something, talk to them ... then say something (if you think it's still fishy)."

That said ... the 'seeking racism' narrative has to end, the left is making people 'insensitive' to charges of racism.

Dude ... serious? Kap isn't JUST about racial profiling. He is about Castro and communism. He is about "cops are pigs". He is about all of it.

You lefties like to have guys like Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin carry your flag of justice .... and never want to talk about what IDIOTS those people were to bring those situations upon themselves. "Hands up, don't shoot"??? All a lie ... but who cares.... we are going to use it anyway. Breaking news ... most people don't like when you promote bad actors, lies, misleading situations, etc.... and then if anyone argues against it you hate minorities. Believe it or not, a lot of people see through that crap even if you can't.

You live in a fantasy world if you think people that are turned off by Kaepernick are AGAINST equality, social justice, fair treatment, etc. These kinds of things out of your side is what brought that idiot Trump to the Presidency in the first place. People got tired of the BS.

Nike isn't going to hurt from this campaign. It's a great campaign. All of the other shoe stocks are down a much higher percentage this week. In 5 days, Adidas -3.5%, Puma -6.4% Under Armour -1.41%, Nike -0.89%.

Do you think Trump attacks are going to affect Nike Stock? Nope.

Trump attacked Amazon March 29, AMZN is up +35%
Trump attacked Harley Davidson June 26, HOG is up +6.66%
Trump attacked Boeing Dec 6, 2017, BA is up 26%

There's plenty more like this here.

Regarding Colin, he started a conversation about an important topic that needs to be addressed with police brutality to African Americans. Is he perfect? No, but very few people are. If you find yourself more outraged that he wears a Castro shirt or pig socks or the fact that he followed the advice of a Veteran to kneel during the anthem than the issue he's protesting (cops killing unarmed people of color), you're an immoral idiot.

Way to post a video out of context and try to present it as police racial profiling. In this case, police received a report of a robbery from two passersby. They located the car and executed a felony stop and detained the young man to figure out what was going on. They quickly assessed that it might be a misunderstanding but they have to do their due diligence and ascertain his identity and procedure would have them run him for warrants (they do that with everybody). He was released without charges and without being harmed. While certainly an inconvenience to the family, this seemed like a very professional stop.

Tell me, what would you have had the police do differently in this instance? Ignore the report of a robbery? What if they do ignore it and it was a robbery or worse? Maybe just buy the story right away? Then if something goes wrong, the police are wrong then too. Will society be better off if we forbid any police contact in situations like this because we're afraid it might be profiling? Are you doing your cause any good misrepresenting this as police profiling?

The whole "kneeling" thing got its major boost when Trump came out.

Frankly, as a Libertarian, it was stupid for the Executive to even make a statement on the matter. Even I almost (I would never do so, but almost) wanted to kneel after he did. Why? To assert he couldn't do crap to me. Why? Because I'm a Libertarian.

But I always stand for my own reasons, and that will never change.

Mr. "K" is just as bad as the President ... and that became clear after the pig socks.

I see. So shirts and socks are just these irrelevant mediums of sending a message (who cares!), but kneeling is the end all be all towards advancing a cause. Got it.

He celebrated Castro in a city where millions of people had their relatives killed or jailed by him. He decided to broadcast that the views cops as pigs, a reference used often to incite violence against cops.

but meh. SHIRTS AND SOCKS! :flush:

You seem to have quite the bit of outrage over these pig socks, what are your thoughts on the unarmed black people who have been killed by police? The reason why he is protesting.

What are your thoughts on cops who have been killed at increasing rates? Fuk 'em, right?

Do you understand that both can be correct? Colin K could make his point without being an ignorant asshole who calls cops pigs? Or is that actually not possible within this movement? Do you Colin K fans have to just accept that cops are pigs in order to maintain the narrative?

Do you believe that being "unarmed" means that a person is of no threat? Michael Brown was unarmed yet managed to bash in a cop. Does being unarmed negate the cops' entire ability to defend himself f - and the public?

The first step to dealing with a problem is admitting that there is a problem, which he is having trouble doing.

Cops rarely are held accountable for their actions and crimes and black people are sometimes killed over petty crimes like walking in the middle of the road, selling loosies, pulling over for a traffic stop, a broken tail light. Cops tend to treat blacks a little more aggressively than other races. Here's a complete map of police violence. They're also incarcerated at a much higher rate and more time than whites for the same exact crime.

Cops sign up for a job that is knowingly dangerous and comes with a ton of responsibility. If cops refuse to hold themselves accountable and cover for their fellow officers, I would say that's quite piggish behavior. Here's an explainer video about how police accountability is not addressed.

What if I were to tell you that people would agree those things need addressing, and be willing to listen further, if you dropped the heinous "cops are pigs" narrative and acknowledged that not every story about a cop being in the wrong is always accurate?

Michael Brown was killed because he violently attacked a police officer who was trying to get him to follow the simple civil rule of walking on the sidewalk. Eric Garner died because he chose to fight rather than accept the consequences of breaking the stupid law that the liberal legislature put in place.

The issue with your argument, and many of McKesson’s as well, is that you refuse to consider the initial context and actions of the non-police entities in these situations. Or really any context other than black-white.

For instance, the Reuters report that McKesson referenced doesn’t address what kind of complaints were filed, whether they had any validity, and if there should’ve been actions taken. They do cherry pick a few egregious instances where there should’ve been action but then they lump all of them into the statistic, which is extraordinarily misleading.

Citizens can file complaints for anything and all citizens “know their rights.” But often they don’t know their rights and responsibilities and file complaints against officers for actually helping them out. Or they’re just pissed that they got a ticket or detained and they are going to lash out at the officer. Should those complaints be held against the officer? Should those complaints come up when the newspaper states officer so—and-so had n number of complaints against them? Wouldn’t that prejudice your opinion of that officer wrongly? Is it fair that media, activists, and you lump frivolous complaints in with valid ones and hold them all equally against police?

Just an FYI, you won't get anywhere trying to point out the fallacy of sk8's insane viewpoints. He literally defended Israel murdering multiple well marked doctors.

By the way, can I get a website that plots on a map how many times an officer has been assaulted, shot at, attacked with a knife, attacked with a club, run over or almost run over by a car, thrown at, punched at, or killed in the line of duty?

I'm guessing it doesn't exist since the sheer number of dots on the map would consume it.

Has this been covered yet? If so I missed the part where @sk8knight and @UCFKnight85 tell us how if this man had just done something a little differently, he would still be alive. Instead of being murdered by a cop IN HIS OWN HOME BECAUSE THE DUMB BITCH WENT INTO THE WRONG HOUSE.

A police officer in Texas shot and killed a 26-year-old man whom she thought was in her apartment — only, it wasn't her apartment, police said.

Authorities said in a statement that a Dallas police officer went home after work Thursday night but somehow entered the wrong apartment, believing it was her own. The officer, who was not publicly identified by authorities, then opened fire on the man who resided there, police said.

The man was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
