Just heard on the radio while running errands that Donald Trump has finally been indicted today by a NY Grand Jury for his hush money scheme to pay off porn star, Stormy Daniels.

But that should be the tip of the iceberg. It shouldn't be long before a Georgia Grand Jury indicts him and his cronies for his blatant attempt to arm-twist election officials to hand him the election there. Eventually he'll also receive a federal charge for masterminding the January 6th insurrection (the evidence of which was maticulously laid out the House Select Committee) and for lying to officials about holding classified government documents at Mar-a-lago.

I'm sure Republican lemmings...er, I mean all of his open-minded supporters will be up-in-arms over these "politically motivated" attacks on our former President.

Facts don't matter to cult members
I listened to Fox News tonight to hear their take on the charges.

When the news team were asked for their reactions, one of their female correspondents said, "its one of the darkest days in our country's history."

I might have agreed with her given the historic nature of the indictment. But she was talking about the audacity of the liberal left to attempt to influence the 2024 election by charging President Trump with a crime.

Ooooooooooookay.

The Fox News' pundits are waving an accusing finger at a lowly New York DA who would DARE to interfere in the 2024 election over such a paltry little thing**

** Although, Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, went to prison for his involvement in this scheme. (Let me guess: THAT's different.)

Anyhoo, if our Fox News followers want to grouse about "how paltry" the charge is, I'm guessing there'll be some more indictments coming down the pipe for Trump that could be viewed as 'more worthy.' :)

The hatred is strong in Da Shuckster. I don't care what happens to Trump, I pray the Reps don't do the same to demetia Joe. It isn't a crime to pay her to stay quiet, it is disgusting but not criminal. He wrote the check to cohen out of his account not campaign funds, and to claim that as a campaign donation is a huge stretch. As long as part of the reason for the non disclosure agreement was to avoid personal embarrassment, there is no there, there.

Cohen was convicted of tax evasion, his own tax evasion. and campaign finance issues that he committed. That would be like charging Joe for the money Hunter received but didn't pay his daddy.

Couple things here: Cohen plead guilty to EIGHT COUNTS, including tax evasion. Furthermore, he pleaded guilty to violating federal campaign finance law in connection with the payments. Federal prosecutors say the payments amounted to illegal, unreported assistance to Trump’s campaign. You have completely and totally minimized what he did. Why, I'm not surprised.

Next: the indictment is sealed so you have absolutely no clue what's going on. You are simply spouting talking points that you've heard from the very stations/outlets that you claim you don't watch and scream to everyone that you ignore. How do I know this? Because you basically just parroted what Tucker Carlson said word-for-word the other day.

THIS !!! 👍

Cohen did illegal campaign stuff regarding the payments, Trump may or may not have, I don't pretend I know.
Hell, I don't even know what the charges are.
The law is pretty clear on 2 things from what I have heard, not a lawyer, but if talking points are correct, Trump would have to either pay her off with campaign $$, The check they keep showing that is supposed to pay for it, is a personal check not campaign. Or it has to be made strictly to avoid political embarrassment, if he is avoiding personal embarrassment, it isn't illegal.

I am not a Trumpster, never have been. I have stated I prefer him to ride off into the sunset, along with Dementia Joe. The country would be better off with neither in office. I have not seen Carlson in months, so sorry not parroting Tucker. I don't have cable nor Fox news.

I don't know what NY laws do or do not say, but Federal law has 5 year statute of limitations on campaign finance charges, all this happened in 2016, so no federal charges can be filed. From what I have read that is also true in NY but there are some exceptions. Is this one of those? I don't know, or is these charges on something else? I don't know.

Cohen probably did all of this illegal shit on a whim. Like he was just sitting around and exercised free will to do all of it.

"I don't know the law. But lemme tell you what the law is. Furthermore, here is what is illegal and legal. From what I've 'read'. I 'read' this stuff. No help. No outside assistance. I can't help it that I am now parroting Sean Hannity. But I don't know him or his show. What is a Fox News? I don't watch TV or even own one. I 'read'. All day long. Books. And stuff."

Did I miss anything else?

I just went online to see as much as possible on the laws, I have said I don't even know what he is charged with. It may be a airtight case. It also may be a bullshit charge brought on by a man who's goal before taking office was to get Trump. Just simply stated what I could find doing Bing search. With campaign finance violations there is 5 year statute of limitations Federally, and in NY with some exceptions in NY. I don't even know what exceptions are there. Frankly I don't care, nor do I care if Trump is charged and if guilty convicted. As for Hannity other than occasionally catching him on Radio, usually for 5 minutes as I only listen to radio in the car, and no longer spend long periods of time in car other than on trips where we use Sirius on music channels. Main news I watch is ABC News. (channel 9 Orlando), occasionally channel 6 which is CBS.

I know who Hannity and Carlson are, I know what Fox news is, but cord has been cut. Don't have nor want to have cable.

Walks over to his computer: “GOT DAMMIT. I DONT WATCH ANYTHING I SWEAR TO GOD…..honey, turn it up, wtf did Hannity just say about our Donald?!?!?”

Imagine whining about illegal use of the judiciary system on a guy whose entire platform consisted of locking up his 2016 opponent.

MAGATs truly are an amazingly stupid bunch.

The only charges all of Washington males will never face is Epstein hookups. Those Doc's are going to be sealed until all involved are long dead.

Lovely non sequitur. Was this the argument the people over at your local Pool Cleaning Union told you to offer up when it came to Trump and his indictments????

  • Haha
Reactions: Ucfmikes
I'd just like to point out to our resident nazis that pronouns do in fact matter, because if you remember in 2016 you were all chanting "lock her up!" and now in 2023 a bipartisan court of law is saying "locking him up".
