2020 Democrat hopefuls

LOL at bloomberg for dropping half a billion dollars to do absolutely nothing.
Bloomberg got into the race because he wanted to make sure Trump didn't get reelected. If you paid attention, the vast majority of Bloomberg's political ads were about bashing Trump.

This morning after Super Tuesday, Bloomberg drops out and immediately endorses Biden. He now shifts his money from himself to Biden. If Biden beats Trump, I think Mike will have considered his investment as money well spent.

Also, Bloomberg spent $500 million in ads but he hasn't aired $500 million in ads, not even $200 million. So all that are time that he purchased is going to Joe Biden.

Democrats: Billionaires are evil! They shouldn’t be allowed to buy influence in our elections!!!!

Also Democrats: Please billionaire Mike Bloomberg, buy us this election and exert your influence!!

the country generally goes back and forth between the two parties. after one party controls the party for 8 years they move onto the other party. thats what happened to mccain.

incumbents are very hard to beat. that is what happened to romney. trump is now the incumbent.

im laughing because the dnc is actively trying to push bernie out of the nomination again. there was no reason for pete/amy to drop out before tuesday. sure they wouldve likely dropped out on wednesday, but it was a play to help biden. pocahontas policy wise is very close to bernie. itll be interesting to see if she backs biden when she eventually drops out. who knows what bloomberg will do now. who will he support? my money is on biden.

i dont care who the candidate is, i think trump will mop the floor with either. one has dementia, the other is a socialist.
Warren's endorsement will speak volumes. If she endorses the same candidate that Bloomberg did after the hit job she did that will show that the DNC is really against Bernie.

I admire Pete and Amy for dropping out when they did. When you've invested as much time, energy and emotion into a Presidential bid, it's got to be tough to call it quits. As folks here know, I liked Buttigieg but there was no way after South Carolina that he was going to win this thing.

So the right thing to do for both of them was to end their campaigns and support Biden -- which they did. Same with Bloomberg today. The only reason why you guys (and your Russian trolls) want to play the 'Poor Bernie' pity party is because you wanted him to be the one to run against Trump.
FTR, I like the idea of Biden winning the nomination because it will force the continuation of investigations into him. I dont think bernie or biden has much of a chance of beating Trump but there would be much less to learn about Bernies past that we dont already know about as opposed to Biden.

You must be able to tell the future. 1.) Bloomberg can afford to drop a half a billion, he'll probably make it back by the end of the year. 2.) Who knew that Biden would turn the ship around so quickly, he appeared to be sinking last fall. Bloomberg did the right thing with the information that he had at the time. If Biden had sunk, the choices were Bernie, Pete, Warren, Amy.
i realize he can afford it, but that doesnt mean it didnt hurt him slightly, let alone the hit to his perception and pride.

oh i agree he should have stayed in the race. his problem was his campaign staff didnt prepare him for the debates. he was crucified and looked like a deer in headlights. after that night he was pretty much done and the polls reflected that. i think if he had a good debate, or even not gone to the debate, he wouldve done much better in the polls on tues.

His staff probably tried, the question is did he listen? Trump taunting him and the fact that he's already invested will keep him engaged. His staff is paid through November.

I heard on the radio this morning from one of the conservative talking heads that the 'hit' on Bloomberg's bank account was like a millionaire losing $8,300.

It's gonna be fun watching Biden rail against "the wealthy ruling class" as he's cashing a $100M check from Daddy Bloomberg every month to run ads.

LMAO. If THIS GEM is any indication of how you Red Hats think you're going to trash Joe, you and your Russian troll buddies are in for a rude surprise come November.

I don't think I've ever heard Joe "rail against the wealthy ruling class".

It's coming. You can't run as a Democrat in Woke 2020 and not declare your disgust for rich people. 35% of his own party are full blown socialists and he knows that.

Clearly you have no clue what happened yesterday.

Yeah, voters overwhelmingly jumped on the Biden Bandwagon over Bernie Sanders yesterday because they are "full blown socialists" and want one to lead them.*

If anyone in this discussion is senile and out-of-touch with reality, it's you, 85.

You saw "overwhelmingly" I don't think that's what happened.

Old people and southern conservatives voted for an old conservative. Bernie will get a huge chunk of delegates from California still.

Oh, so Socialist Joe, whose been running for office since 1972 is going to suddenly do something different between now and November?

hey dolt, if you read what I actually wrote you’d see that I didn’t say that the majority of people who voted yesterday are socialists. I said 35% of the party is which is accurate based upon Sanders support

if they tried, they didnt try hard enough. he was never going to be ready for the political stage in such a short amount of time. but then again, i couldve said the same about trump and hes done a pretty good job so far. mini mike just sucks at it. good for his staff, glad they are getting paid.

I don't know, it's hard to tell a Billionaire anything, their standard answer is "Who's the billionaire here?" Do debates have anything to do with your effectiveness in governing?

Ah, I see you want to dig the hole you made for yourself, DEEPER. :)

Let's get this straight: According to you, Biden is going to suddenly "get woke" and start railing against the wealthy "Ruling Class" because "35% of all Democrats" who currently support another candidate who is....gasp!...a self-proclaimed socialist. What's your logic there?

Seems to me that once you win a primary, you focus on the general election voters, not the fringe who supported the guy you beat.

I don't think Joe knows what year it is, not to say anything of the make up of the Democratic party.

It's kind of a weird deal. Typically Democrat candidates have to run to the left in the primary and try moving back to the center in the general, but Biden is going to have to run to the left in the general if he has any hope of getting Bernie voters out to the polls.

Holy Moley, you're acting like this election is about progressive policies!!!

This year's general election is going to be about one thing and one thing only: character

Uh, no. This year is going to be about whether or not people see their lives as better than they were in 2015. Theres no angst, so trump wins based on maintaining the status quo

You're not good at math are you? Biden will need those 35% of fringe left wing lunatics to show up and vote for him, but nothing yet suggests they'll be enthused about that given they are fanatical about a socialist who loves every communist he's met.

Oooooooooooooh. So the Democratic Party will be a 'house divided.' Good to know. :)

Another gem analysis about why people will be voting in record numbers this fall. :)

Just be honest. You know that pretty much everybody has a better life now than they did 4 years ago so there is no passion to make a change.

You are living in bizarroland if you think there's no passion in this country for bringing honor and integrity back to the White House.
