Jan 6th

Really? So it isnt the fault of the people who tried, it is the fault of the people who talk about it?

Except a lot of prominent people arent making fun of it, they are just pretending like there was nothing do it, or in the case of the Hannity's of the world trying to blame it on antifa and all that bullshit. But with all the texts that keep coming out, there was obviously something to it. You dont ignore that, you punish the people responsible so that in the future others wont be so quick to go along with it.
Don't strawman me. You know exactly what I'm saying.

Well, this guy is probably pretty happy over it all.

Commenting on your words isnt a strawman.
Don't act coy. Where did I blame the people who talk about 1/6? I didn't. But by all means, go on and on about how close they got to installing Trump as president. Put up a memorial to it. Glorify how it didn't even take guns to almost overthrow the government. That'll work out well, I'm sure.

You most certainly implied that talking about it is a problem, therefore trying to put the blame on people for talking about it.

Sorry for commenting on your own words, my mistake.
Comment all you like, just dont ascribe insinuation or intent where it clearly doesn't exist.

Back to the topic though, whatever happened to the DC pipe bomber? A year later and they have no leads?

Does anybody else get the vibe from Garland that he is more interested in protecting the government than he is in protecting individuals?

All of them are batsh!t crazy when it comes to downplaying the attempted insurrection.

After Navarro laid out in the TV interview I posted earlier here -- and, from what I hear, he painstakenly laid out in his book -- we get the following exchange:

Interviewer: (to Navarro) You just described a plan as a way where the outcome was established by independent secretaries of state, by the voters of their states, and legal remedies have been exhausted -- and the Supreme Court refusing to take, let alone side, with any of the claims you just referred to, so legally they went nowhere. THEN you would use the encumbant, losing party's power to reverse that outcome. Do you realize you are describing a coup?

Navarro:
No. I...uh, uh reject many of your premises there. First of all, the election was still in doubt...

ME: Are you f*king kidding us?

Trump traitors in 2022 are honestly dumber than Branch Davidians.

Both groups are cult members, at least one group is smart enough to admit they drank the Flavor Aid.

Good grief. You've gotta shake your head and roll your eyes at the post-riot spin-doctoring we've got going on around here. Who called it "as big a deal as 9/11 or Pearl Harbor?" If anybody is attempting to reinvent the riot, it's our board's Trumpsters. Case in point from just a few minutes ago:

Ahem.

Probably should have just kissed the orange ass of the man who tried to ruin Democracy, or something.
Pearl Harbor: the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself

9/11: America will not succumb to the fear of terrorists

1/6: TRUMP IS A LOSER!

I take it @DaShuckster is ready to admit how batshit Kamala Harris is now.
First off, my question about comparing Jan. 6th to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor, was asking WHO HERE made that comparison? The answer: NOBODY.

Secondly, the Veep said, and I quote,"Certain dates echo throughout history" and said the January 6th insurrection was one of those dates like other key dates we recall throughout our American history. Will January 6, 2020 be remembered in American History books like 9/11 and the attack on Pearl Harbor? OF COURSE IT WILL! But to insinuate she was actually COMPARING Jan. 6th to the horrible death counts we experienced in those other events is disingenuous -- at best.

You've got to shake your head and laugh at posters who want to talk about "batsh!t Harris" while ignoring all of Trump's shenanigans that led up to the Capitol riot we're talking about on the one year anniversary of the event.

The spin-doctoring that continues to go on to defend 'The Big Lie" of a defeated former POTUS who's ego won't allow him to admit defeat is mindboggling. At what point will some modicum of common sense kick in?

This is what concerns me. You literally have people who think even talking about 1/6, is somehow worse than the actual actions on January 6th.

1/6 in and of itself isnt as big a deal as Pearl Harbor, but how we respond to January 6th might very well be, especially if we dont take it seriously and allow it to happen again.

We've responded with the biggest manhunt in FBI history. That has included 80 year old ministers being arrested for taking a picture from inside the Capitol. Is that serious enough?

We have responded, so far anyway, by going after gullible losers, we need to also go after the head of the snake, or they will just try a different way, or even find more gullible losers to do something stupid.

Did we go after the head of the snake on this one? Those people are trying to assault police officers.

If I'm the one guilty of spin-doctoring, please prove it by showing us all the Vice President's quote saying "it's as big a deal" as 9/11 or Pearl Harbor.

WHo is the head of the snake here? And did they attack the capitol and try and stop the certification of the election? No they didnt, quit being intentionally obtuse.
I have no idea who the head of the snake is, don't you think that's why we should have investigated it? This was not an example of the "peaceful transfer of power" that you guys are so concerned about, so clearly it should have been a priority of the FBI to track down everyone involved.

Give me a break, you are comparing a few people in the streets to a losing president convincing his people to storm the capitol, and trying to get SOS to over turn results, etc etc. If you think this is remotely the same thing then you are just as gullible as the people who thought Trump would protect them at the capitol.

Oh. So since it wasn't successful, we shouldn't make a big deal out of it?

FYI, the "peaceful transfer of power" is about the acceptance of the vote by the loser of the election.

If -- like every other defeated POTUS candidate in American History -- Trump had acknowledged the will of the people and wished his opponent the best of success going forward, January 6th would never have happened.

Huh? THe protest you showed? THere are more cops and people filiming in the clip you showed than actual protestors. You really think that is the same thing as what happened on 1/6?
