We need a President who gives us a strong and steady hand for the long-term. But Trump is so eager to give people good news that he isn't much concerned at this point whether it's real or not. Exactly. Keeping us informed is one thing. Trying to hype something up that we simply dont have enough results with is completely different. And this idea it gives people "hope" is about as childish a response as I can think of. What would give people hope is if we had enough testing and PPE and weren't concerned with a shortage of these types of things. That is what would give me hope anyway.

If it is something to actually be hopeful about then yes. More testing, enough PPE, etc, would be things to be hopeful about. THis drug at this point is just wishful thinking. Hopefully it works, but at this point we simply have no idea if it will.

Everyone involved is trying to do a good job. I don't think anyone here is questioning that. But the contrast between Trump and Gov. Cuomo couldn't be starker. There's not a corona virus presser that goes by where Trump doesn't do these things: 1) congratulate himself and his team for an "unprecedented job;" 2) blame his predecessor for the poor virus support system he inherited; and 3) criticize the media for unfairly covering this Administration's covering of the crisis.

If I'm being unfairly critical of Trump, I'm sorry. I grew up believing in "the buck stops here" leadership and that when times are tough, leaders can be counted on to promote unity.
