North Korea suspends nuclear and missile testing

So.., you base everything on “accomplishments?” No consolation for attempting.
Back when UCF football finished the 2015 season with a pathetic 0-12 record, I'm sure you took great comfort in the knowledge that at least they TRIED to win, right? ;)

They didn’t. They quit. Do you even follow UCF?

Next bad example.......

wow....
.....
.....talk about setting a low bar.
That’s a cop out comeback

Yes.., that’s a big accomplishment. A very big deal. You don’t see this?

If Obama did his job, there wouldn’t even be a need to address missile launches. Now Trump has to try to pick up the can that was kicked down the road

I'm having a hard time believing you are seriously debating me regarding "our accomplishments" in reigning in North Korea. You are being either incredibly naive or stubborn when it comes to defending Trump.

I'm not saying a couple more sanctions isn't a good thing. But to act like there weren't scores of sanctions already on NK is disengenous at best. And the notion that somehow that little tin horn dictator has 'mellowed' when it comes to developing weapons of war, that naive belief should have been dispelled this week with his latest weapons testing.

I find it extremely naive (if not just plain arrogant) that you haven’t seen any accomplishments whatsoever since Trump took office.

I’m sure the U.S. has had nothing to do with the multitude of meetings with North and South Korea.

Trump took a hard stance initially that is firmly entrenched in Kim’s head (no other president has) and he wouldn’t dare try us

I’ve now given you 4-5 accomplishments. If you’re just going to dismiss them or play them down, then that’s on you. Your bias

Good grief. Trump's "hard stance" was a case of a blowhard being foolhardy and dangerous by throwing out school yard taunts towards an evil tin horn dictator with a nuclear weapon no less. Fortunately for the world, it didn't lead to an armed conflict.

But THEN what happened? Trump "fell in love" with Kim Jung un. Aw, ain't that sweet! Of course, the family of Otto Warmbier might view Kim Jung un a tad bit differently that our President, but who cares?

Boy, their bromance was so special that we didn't need any stinkin' signed papers at the conclusion of Summit 1. We just needed to trust Trump when he said he looked into Kim's eyes and could tell the little dude was serious. Of course when Kim wanted the removal of sanctions as a next step in their love relationship, Trump's Secretary of State urged his Boss to get the North Koreans to sign an actual agreement first. Gee, what happened then? :)

Hmm., last I checked, it worked. You’re description of it is most ironic and comical, since you really can’t compare it to anything else. Since no past president has done a damn thing whatsoever.

Let’s go with the “schoolyard taunts” over Obama nothingness.

They didn’t sign and we walked.

What’s wrong with that? Better plan? Let’s hear it. Oh wait.. Democrats never had a plan

If it’s Trump, you’ll criitize it even at the point of being irrationally biased

Actually, this is factually incorrect. As you know Trump initial criticism of NK about the whole Warmbier situation was maximal.

Do you not realize that sometimes you have to bend a little to negotiate?

You know damn well Trump knows Kim basically killed Warmbier.

What was he supposed to do? Slap him upside the head after he shook his hand?

Remember that time that Shookster asked for accomplishments and milestones achieved, I listed no less than 5, and he promptly ignored my post to continue demanding that others list out accomplishments and milestones?

lol. This guy would be comical if it weren't so truly sad.

LOL Nothing funnier than you and mikes striving to find some good nuggets inside this smelly turd of a presidency. :)

lol if you're content with being a disingenuous little pissant troll then that's fine, really, but please stop trying to play "serious commentator" as you always do. The minute you get facts thrown in your face about something you're wrong about, always, you change the entire context and go to some little worthless snarky comment like you just used.

To be fair, it's hard to be serious when told that Trump should be congratulated for his achievements....(wait for the punchline....) in North Korean diplomacy.

Me: Here are 5 examples of success

Shookster: Hmm, think I should respond to every post but 85's now

Me: Shookster, care to comment on my prior post?

Shookster: DEFLECT DEFLECT DEFLECT! Snarky comments about nothing!

If you weren't following UCF then you can't begin to understand how awful that year was. It was obamacare bad [winking]

I will confess that my UCF football fandom started immediately after that horrendous season when the University hired Scott Frost who played for my alma mater and led them to a national championship.

But as I stated earlier (in this very thread, I think), when you grow to love a team, it doesn't go away when the head coach leaves.

I've been a Husker fan my whole life and they will always be first in my heart, but I'm a UCF Knight football fan second. And I'm not the only Husker fan who feels this way.

Insults and smiley emojis aren’t an argument. It’s admitting that you don’t have a good answer

Yeah boy! I'm SO embarrassed that I failed to realize just how much progress has has been made in U.S. and North Korea relations. It's a miracle, right?

In the world according to Ucfmikes, I'm guessing Trump's stunning diplomatic achievements in North Korea help explain why he is 'The Greatest President of all time' and why you are owning me in this discussion.

Major fail. Emojis and GIFs are a “throwing in the white towel” to an argument

Additionally, you continually deflect from the argument, and are unable to debate my points and examples with anything substantial.

Now is it 3 times or 4?

This is your biggest meltdown to date.

The more smileys and gifs this guy uses, the more you know that his ass is showing and he's got nothing to rebut with. So he changes the topic, invents a new argument to declare himself victor of, and throws around these gifs to show everyone just how much he won this new argument that he created.

Yes. It’s glaringly obvious. Self victorious and GIFs to celebrate his perceived victory to make believe people. It’s actually very obnoxious

Additionally, Trump has done more or has tried to do more to address and diffuse the NK crisis than all the other past administrations combined

Of all the things to try and claim a Trump victory on, this is the dumbest. Trump has achieved nothing on this issue and you're waiving your MAGA had yelling "but he tried!" I'm embarassed for you you toothless bumpkin.

Once again, increased sanctions, face to face meetings, decreased missile launches, return of the remains of American’s killed in the Korean War, meetings between North Korea and South Korea

I keep listing more and more examples. You can’t dispute them. Insults are not a rebuttal

However you just keep throwing out 12 year-old insults like “MAGA had yelling” (can’t even spell) or “you you toothless bumpkin” (What language is that?)

I’m well informed on this subject. Maybe not as much on others.

You’re embarrassing yourself by throwing out random insults and denying facts

Your TDS, hate for Trump and arrogance is blocking your brain from thinking clearly.

Give me a list of what past administrations have done?

I’ll wait. Should take awhile

They did the same amount as Trump and you're really impressed with his accomplishments.
They attempted nothing and did nothing. I’m impressed with someone not sitting on their asses for decades and kicking the can down the road

Just give it up

I love when I give liberals accomplishments, they ignore it, then yell at others about no one producing accomplishments.

These people were sooooo impressed with Obama's foreign policy too.

Here's an NPR interview from late last year with a Stanford professor who is a nuclear arms expert and published an annual North Korea Tension Escalation Meter. Here's what he had to say. Now que the liberals telling us that this guy is wrong.

SHAPIRO: You and some of your colleagues at Stanford have made this elaborate chart showing where in the U.S.-North Korea relationship there is red - danger, chance of war - to green, where things look a little more promising. You've been tracking lots of different aspects of this nuclear relationship. Explain, just in the last couple years, what has changed?

HECKER: By the end of the Obama administration in 2016, almost all of our indicators had turned red. And in 2017, the first year of the Trump administration, they turned deep red. And...

SHAPIRO: That was when President Trump was saying little rocket man and things like that.

HECKER: Precisely. Not only was the political situation such that it was red and great tension, but also, North Korea made significant progress in its nuclear and its missile program. And now we just released the 2018 chart. Believe it or not, what happened is quite a few of the indicators turned less red, and some of them turned green.

SHAPIRO: What about the argument that the U.S. is giving North Korea a real public relations win - a prominent meeting with the president of the United States before the entire world - without getting a concrete concession from North Korea in return for that?

HECKER: They already have a concession. That concession is an end of testing. And that is significant. In terms of giving Kim Jong Un, you know, that spotlight in the world, if it makes him a more responsible leader, if it makes North Korea to allow in some sunshine and some cooperation, my view is that's actually a step in the right direction.

This is the argument that I care about most. This and the economy.

Since no president can get anything done, it would be nice to pay a decent interest rate for houses, low taxes, low gas prices and not have a nuclear warhead hit the US. That would suck.

All this other “bullshit” doesn’t affect My daily life.

Kim Yung un says he will remove his nukes after the U.S. withdraws all troops from South Korea and Japan.

Peace is ALMOST there, right guys? :)
Just stop with the obnoxious emojis. It’s making you look like a pompous asshole

You’re making new arguments and deflecting, because you have nothing. You’re grasping.

Since when is the dailybeast.com the go to/reliable news source?

Additionally, who really cares if he hates Pompeo and loves Trump?? Just get a damn deal done.

Personally, I think that would be amazing to remove all of the troops for disarmament

1). Get our troops home to their families and out of harms way

2) it would save hundred of millions, if not billions of dollars annually.

3) train these countries to defend themselves

Who would you rather Kim like and respect the POTUS or Pompeo?

“The North Koreans in Hanoi only wanted to talk to Trump, whom they see as a softer target than his advisers when it comes to a deal.”
