Syria

If Trump does something he's a war monger. If Trump does nothing he's a xenophobic racist bigot that doesn't care about Syrian children.
War mongering seems like a pretty cool idea right about now, TBH.

Add gassing children to death (especially after Obama said all poison gas was removed out of Syria) can easily help change one's mind as well.

LOL. This is yet another false flag being spoon fed to the war hungry US. Taken full hook line and sinker by the Trump admin to deflect from its failing agenda (healthcare, tax cuts, etc). Very disappointed here.

We are far better off with Western educated Assad than any other government puppet. We could get 50 years of that guy, and are totally on the wrong side of this situation.

You really can't make a logical case against at least ordering strikes on Syria's air force and aerial deployment vehicles. You can't. It would not require an invasion force or any real Americans in harms' way. Our superior aircraft could precision strike the shit out of Assad's assets and we could lob missiles from submarines parked offshore.

This is something that Obama should have done in 2013. Instead he made a deal with Putin, the man that every Democrat is now faux raging about. Funny how that worked- Russia was responsible for assuring that chemical weapons were removed from Syria and they weren't.

I'd be totally fine with giving the Kurds every advanced weapon they want and letting them defeat ISIS and Assad and just making the f*cking place the official Kurdistan.

Scott Adams calling shenanigans too.

The gas attack was fake as the USA is war hungry as they have war mongers as they like to go to war.

CBS reported US forces just launched multiple cruise missles targetting the air base that lauched the chemical attack.

As Infowars reported on Wednesday, the White Helmets, a al-Qaeda affiliated group funded by George Soros and the British government, reportedly staged the sarin attack on civilians in the Syrian city of Khan Shaykhun to lay blame on the Syrian government.

“Unsurprisingly, the mainstream media and neo-con politicians have been quick to regurgitate the al-Qaeda-linked rebels version of the events before any investigation takes place,” reported Mimi Al-Laham.

US launches at least 50 Tomahawk Missle Strikes against a Syria Airbase that held poisonous chemical weapons previously and or who's fixed wing aircraft were involved in recent chemical attack.

Missles were launched from 2 US Naval Destroyers in Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Fox is reporting 43 Tomahawks were fired from the USS Porter and USS Ross.

The two Destroyers in the Med can carry 70 Tomahawks altogether.

Congress rejected Obama's request for strikes in 2013.

Edit: Also, seems Syrians may have known a raid was coming. http://abcnews.go.com/amp/Internati...ilitary-anticipated-us-raid/story?id=46641107

Lol! He had every delegation of power to launch strikes on his own. He punted to Congress to provide cover to not do anything.

Shortly after this, Russia viewed the inaction as a welcome mat and made their want into the conflict. Boosting Assad and giving him the confidence to do things like launching more chemical attacks.

Imagine what a different world we would be in if Obama didn't sit on his hands after the first chemical attack. Russia wouldn't have become emboldened, there would still be moderate Syrians fighting Assad, Crimea would still be part of Ukraine, Hillary would in all likely hood be President.

I'm simply flabbergasted by a few things:

* People criticizing President Obama - opinion polls were as high as 90% against Syria escalation at the time of the so-called "line in the sand" in 2013. And that includes a healthy dose of brainwashing by the mainstream media. President Obama respected the will of the American people, and I respect him a lot for doing that, despite the pressures from his own war hungry democratic party to take action.

* Not one person in the mainstream media at all is discussing proof and facts related to the latest accusations of state sponsored gas attacks. Turkey told us Assad did it, so it must be true. The fact is that Assad/Russia had ISIS and Al-Quada essentially defeated and literally peace negotiations had already begun. Not a lot to gain for Assad to bring the scrutiny of the world with a chemical attack. Not one mention of any of this.

To me, it doesn't get any more clear that this is a desperate false flag. It sickens me that people are so gullible to be brainwashed by the mainstream media, especially given the history with taking military action on overtly bad intel. Watch the Ron Paul video and get educated.

Trump had to do this. Happy to see him change his mind from his campaign promises. Some dems are complaining that he did change his mind but we should encourage political leaders to be able to change their mind when the facts warrant it.

Let's see how Assad responds. We've got around 1000 troops in country. If any of them are attacked. It's on.

Add to that, what impact it will have on ISIS, Iran and other factions that are in Syria too (including the Rebels who seemed to be pleased with this action).

Interesting talks today with China about North Korea as the tone of those discussions will have certainly changed as well.

It's also good to hear supportive public comments from our Allies after these targeted missle attacks.

They're not going to do anything IMO. Assad has never had his peepee slapped and he just got it. Russia doesn't want to escalate this into another cold war they will lose so they'll be pumping the brakes too.

Unless the US is being directly attacked, I'll always be in favor of a president getting authorization first from Congress before involving the military. Crazy to see people now all of a sudden actually wanted Obama to order military action on his own - despite deep unpopularity and heavy Congressional resistance. The president who doesn't respect the process or Congress and craps on the Constitution.

It still also does not explain Congress rejecting it. Even if Obama punted it, Congress could have easily done a quick vote for limited engagement. They chose not to. But now it's ok after a chemical attack. Even though it wasn't in the previous chemical attack.

This is not a fact. Far from it.

Government forces have been herding defeated opponents from across the country into Idlib Province, where the chemical attack occurred. Starved and bombed out of their enclaves, they are bused under lopsided surrender deals to the province, where Qaeda-linked groups maintain a presence the Syrian military uses as an excuse to bomb without regard for the safety of civilians.
