Texas salon owner jailed

Last month....been to the grocery store 6 times. Lowe's 6x, Home Depot 3x, WalMart 4 times, Costco 1, Sam's 1, Target 2x, etc. Going to the beach. All no mask or fruit cup gloves.

Honestly figured I've have the Rona by now.
Attaboy!!! Certainly something to boast about.

Sweet! Over/under 1000 people you gave it to?

Chicago's mayor doesn't need to worry about the rules. Unless you arrest politicians for doing basic stuff liking getting an essential haircut, then don't come after a stylist.

Why does the conversation always get deflected to Chicago?

0 if he’s never had it himself.
You're as ignorant as Georgia's Governor who tried to explain away why he didn't close his State down earlier because he didn't realize there was such a thing as being an asymptomatic coronavirus carrier.

Please tell me, in your infinite scientific wisdom, how someone who has never been infected with SARS CoV-2 could possibly spread the virus simply because he didn’t wear a mask?

I'm talking about COVID-19 infected individuals who show no symptoms yet can spread it to others. Yes, it's a thing. Look it up.

No shit captain obvious. Yet you decided to call me ignorant because I said he had 0 chance of spreading SARS CoV-2 if he is not infected. Take a freaking second to read what you’re responding to and comprehend it because you look like a dumbass when you spout off ignorantly as you always seem to do.

Okay, you're on. Let's review:

How do you know he wasn't infected and didn't pass it on as an asymptomatic carrier? Did KNIGHTTIME inform us he got tested and didn't have the virus?

Now tell us all again who's the dumbass who didn't take a freaking second to read what he's responding to?

There are plenty of people around who are dedicated to helping families in need. The last thing hungry families need are idiots like you who are hell-bent on prolonging this damn thing.

You prolong it by shutting it down. The way this get under control just like any virus is people getting it and getting over it. We can stay in lock down for 3 more years and the virus will still be here. We need to do things to protect the elderly and those with other medical issues. There is no reason to lock down a 30 year old healthy person, other than what is needed to protect the other group. The only purpose of the lock down was to prevent hospitals from being over run with patients, other than a few cities that never came close to happening, and many have financial problems now from the lack of patients.
Odds are if you are under 70 years old you are eventually going to get this bug, just like it is likely you will get some type of flu.

I don't understand why you can't comprehend how selfish it is to not wear a mask. You can easily cover your nose and mouth while out shopping. Not only do you help your community fight the spread in case you are an asymptomatic carrier, you provide peace of mind for the cashier who is just trying to pay their bills and is forced to choose between working with idiots like you who are selfish assholes and possibly keeping their family safe.

Name a single reason you wouldn't do it just on the off chance that it makes the day less stressful for frontline workers. Are you too stoubourn to even provide a simple courtesy to those in your community?

Yet another example of dipshits Knighttime missing the whole point.

It's not about you, asshole. No one gives a shit if you get coronaviris. We do what we're doing to protect those in our communities who can't protect themselves.

And just so you're aware. Those cashiers are thinking about what a selfish assholes you are the entire time they are pretending to be friendly.

So while everyone else had to stay closed, there are no consequences for her violating a judge's order?
Judges shouldn't be jailing people over executive orders written by non-elected bureaucrats with no constitutional authority. Thats why the Supreme Court stepped in and smacked this judge down.

And if my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle.

Look, my statement was very simple. No infection means no transmission. Stop changing the equation I put forth.

Everyone walking into her salon knows the risks. There doesn't need to be "consequences" for working an essential job. My opinion getting your haircut is essential.
Maybe it's just me, but the term "essential job" really pisses me off. If you have to work to pay bills and feed your family, any job is essential.

I really do agree with this notion. Why should someone be considered unessential by the societal standards of a virus just because they chose the "wrong" field to pursue?

I'd be pissed if I had to stay closed and she was allowed to stay open. Getting a haircut is not essential.

Getting a haircut isn't, but giving one is if it means being able to feed your family. You have quite the "let them eat cake" vibe going on with that statement.

She's the only salon owner with a family?

Completely ignorant response. I can't for the life of me figure out why that question is applicable in any way.

Because EVERYONE else HAD to close, I'm sure their "ignorant" families needed money just like she did. EIDL & PPP loans, unemployment, stimulus checks and creditor accommodations were given but she was the only one who HAD to work.

No, they all HAD to work. Most just accepted the idea of the government telling them what is "safe" because if they didn't it means jail time and financial ruin. She was right to stand up to authoritarian tyranny.

It's about standing up for yourself. Similar to slavery days were some didn't follow the rules. Maybe you think that is dramatic but killing a business is dramatic. Just because others aren't willing to be arrested doesn't mean they don't want to open. Let the free market decide if she should be open. Nobody comes she will need to close.

Slavery. #eyeroll

Nah. Rosa Parks should have just followed the rules. All the other black people were smart enough to do so, why was Rosa different?

She was being selfish. It was about her. We have a government for public safety. She was ordered to close for the safety of the public.

I find it odd that I can go into a packed Walmart, do some shopping, do some banking, get my subway sandwich, but the cost cutters is closed due to "safety".
Walmart sells food. People need to eat to live. Your discount haircut isnt worth the risk.

Not rocket science.

That's why Congress increased unemployment and offered PPP. Because people shouldn't be harmed while they are out of work keeping people safe.

Works great for some, not for others. I'm not eligible for either because I'm self employed and don't have any employees currently.

Whats the difference if the goal is social distancing? Is someone taking a greater risk by having their hair cut than they are by walking around a packed store, touching the same items that someone else has?

The goal is to slow the spread. If the virus spreads at Wal-Mart while people are shopping for food that's a little bit different from a great clips so a middle aged man can get his dad cut and have an inch of hair clipped from what little remains on his head.

Well I shave my own head so it really doesn't affect me anyway, but if you can't see the absurdity in making the claim that some businesses create an undo threat of exposure while others don't then i don't know what to tell you. If you are afraid of getting covid from a barber but not afraid of getting it at Walmart it might be wise to step back for a second and think that one through.

I did a 30 day fasting about 10 years ago and didn't die. Why couldn't everyone do that? The virus would be gone by now and we would be a clean society with no concern whatsoever about getting sick. Plus we would all be less fat.
