I’m surprised he hasn’t deleted his tweet claiming a link between vaccines and autism. Like he does with most other tweets that go over like lead balloons.

Show me the tweet where he recommended vaccinating children. Sorry, saying “they have to get their shots” in passing to a reporter when being pressed about the largest measles outbreak in the US in 30 years isn’t the same as tweeting to his millions of followers that vaccines are linked to autism. Not by a long shot. Has he ever actually addressed the public and recommend vaccinations? Wonder why.
 
It’s ok that he is anti-vax. It’s far from his worst fault. I mean as president he wanted notorious anti-vaxer Robert Kennedy Jr. to head a commission on vaccines. I’m just not sure I trust his views on the science of dealing with a virus outbreak.

What if I told you that I was in middle school when Pence wrote that and I was more informed that he was at that time.
 
I love the chud squad downplaying our administrations history of intentionally misleading the country on issues of public health. The fact that they fed into the denial of the risks of smoking and that vaccines cause autism long after the scientific community had determined they were wrong is concerning.

How can anyone trust that an administration that has told the CDC that all communications need to be cleared by Pence will share an accurate portrayal of the risks when they couldn't even be accurate on consensus issues like smoking and vaccines?

Trump is at rallies calling this a hoax. They are more concerned with perception than containment. It's a big risk to downplay this like it's going to be nothing. Let's see how that works out.

I love how this whole "smoking doesn't kill" quote has been totally taken out of context. His OP-ed was factually correct and he encouraged smokers to quit.

Mike Pence has absolutely no qualifications to be in charge of the response team, and just look at his response to a rise of HIV cases while he was governor of Indiana. Plus the actual experts apparently have to gets Pence's approval before publicaly speaking about it. And Pence appears to be so concerned with it he spent Friday at a high price fundraiser in Florida.

Of course he ****ing knew smoking kills it was 2000 not 1975. He was intentionally misleading his readers to speak to the Indiana chuds who wanted someone to reassure them that it was ok for them to keep smoking.

If you can't see that a person willing to mislead on health issues like that is the wrong person to control the coronavirus messaging then you're as dumb as the people that kept smoking a pack a day until the day they died because Mike Pence told them it was ok.

He was the governor of a state, that's a pretty big administrative role so I'm pretty sure he's as qualified for the role as any lawyer or scientist.
