The Government's initial testing kit roll out was flawed and produced erroneous results. Oops. So after the reboot, the number of testing kits that have been made available here in the US is minuscule when compared to the demand for them.

Then you have our Blowhard Doctor-in-Chief proclaiming that the World Health Organization is 'wrong' regarding its corona virus numbers based on "his hunch." WTF???

And you all wonder why Wall Street is tanking.

Speaking on Capitol Hill on Thursday, Assistant Secretary of Health Brett Giroir said data suggests the actual mortality rate is in fact lower than the WHO’s estimates.

“The best estimates now of the overall mortality rate for COVID-19 is somewhere between 0.1 percent and 1 percent. That’s lower than you’ve heard probably in many reports,” Giroir said. “This is likely more severe in its mortality rate than a typical flu season, but it’s certainly within the range. So we don’t want people to go crazy.”

No one can properly handle coronavirus. It's not Trumps fault that this happened. Nothing he can do will stop it.

Where Trump falls short is public confidence. He's lied from day 1 in office and continues to be dishonest about this. Does it change anything? No. Coronavirus is coming for that ass one way or another and doesn't care if the president is lying or not.

Blaming Trump for the outbreak at this point is dumb. Blaming him for preparedness is ok, he is responsible for the CDC after all. They seem to be doing ok but when funding was cut to save a few bucks it's impossible to quantify that impact. Maybe it mattered and maybe it didn't.

Trump remains irrelevant to the spread of corona.

Coronavirus only kills old people. That's consistent with your desired worldview. If trump was unprepared or underfunded agencies that would save the lives of those which you want dead then I would expect you to be happy about this.

A leading virologist who used to consult the CDC on SiriusXM Dr Radio just crapped on the WHO number of 3.4% too. Maybe Shookster can cry about him too and declare this doctor a liar.
 
I'm not sure what the deal is. I know a very stable genius told me we already have a flu vaccine so that should work. Plus the guy in charge of it is praying for a solution, so I think we are pretty much done here.

We need to stop responding to this total dipshit. He's ignorantly hopeless. We just cited 1) The New England Journal of Medicine and 2.) two top virologists on the SiriusXM hotline channel and his reaction is to claim we are inventing these people and their claims based upon science.

He's the absolute worst kind of ignorant partisan.

It's just common sense that the death rate will be lower because we arent testing everybody yet. Once we do, we'll find millions of people that have it but have minor effects.

It would have been reckless for trump to say the death rate is going to be super high and cause unnecessary panic.

The death rate is certainly lower then 3%. The 3% number is based on persons known to be infected. Obviously if there are mild to no symptoms in a majority of cases the number of infected is vastly underreported.

I just want to know what makes Trump a blowhard on this when he's absolutely correct. Not a reference to some other totally unrelated topic as a form of "proof" that he's wrong.

Its ok to say that Trump has handled this well but some people cant bring themselves to admit it. FC got close but still had to couch his statement with unrelated attacks. Shukster cant even get that close. TDS

If his motivation is to not inflate our numbers by letting people get treatment on land as he said, they yes.

If doctors recommended that we isolate them on the ship, as no one said but chuds assumed, then no that wouldn't be crazy.

If you people paid attention to the Trump interview and to what I posted, you'd note that Trump opined his "hunch" based on ZERO EVIDENCE for crying out loud!!!

We're all supposed to applaud his off-the-cuff comments about a virus that he doesn't know sh*t about because it can be supported after-the-fact by some in the scientific community???!?

I cant pretend to know what the best course of action would be, but it seems like isolating people with an infectious disease sounds like a good idea even if it means keeping them on a cruise ship.
