Question about UCF scholarships

I honestly do not know the answer to this question.

All athletic scholarships used to be for one year and had to be renewed. But a few years back, many programs began offering "gaureenteed" athletic scholarships for the term of an athlete's eligibility, provided the athlete met advancement toward degree requirements.

Is UCF one of those programs?

I see a lot of "chicken eaters" from the previous regime still on the roster. They are dead weight, satisfied with riding pine, just want a pregame meal (chicken), and take away a spot that could be given to an actual contributor. Gus has ran many of these guys off, but several remain. Patrick Barnett, for example.

I can only assume these guys have "gaureenteed" scholarships. What say ye Knight faithful?

usf related: Is it just me?

I used to head to TheBullsPen quite a bit and get a kick out of their misery/posting. Been doing it for years and years.

I haven’t been over there in a month. I think since they hired AG and Prime went to CO.

Is it me? Have I finally outgrown the hatred I have for that school? Or should I say we’ve passed them by so vastly, it’s not fun anymore.

Or is it the lack of football?

I’m sure next season I’ll still look up their scores and hope they lose every week but I don’t find myself having any interest anymore in that board.

***Updated Jan. 7: LB Antonio Grier Jr. officially flips to Arkansas***

There was at least one more official visitor to add to this past weekend's list:

South Florida LB Antonio Grier, Jr.

He was All-AAC in 2020 and 2021 before opting out in 2022 (played just four games to retain a year of eligibility).

I'm communicating with him right now. He posted this tweet last night when he got home:
