Cops shot in Dallas

Can you provide some quotes where Obama advocated killing cops?

Didn't he give orders to the police to stand down in St Louis? He never said to kill cops but he wasn't coming out negative against protests gone violent.

I think everyone can say we need to get along. It really isn't hard to do.

Who needs to get along with who?

There are no quotes. His actions speak loudly however, just look at Holder flying into Ferguson. He is constantly commenting on police shootings before the blood is dry and his tone is always negative towards police. Investigations be damned, Obama already knows who to blame.

Thats true. I cant recall police brutality during the GW Bush years.

Largest police union is asking the DOJ to open an investigation into Obama for hate crimes.

Funny how nothing was looted, no police were killed after an unarmed white person was shot and killed by police.

The police certainly need to become more transparent and those involved in the last two incidents need to be tried like any alleged criminal. I don't know how anyone can sit back and say that killing involved police officers is right or deserved.
Whites are less violent?

This isn't revisionist history. They are facts and real history that happened. Because a few individuals didn't get around to changing their voter registration card, doesn't mean they represent the modern party as it stands today or didn't change their views over time. You're choosing to willingly ignore the Southern Strategy and the implications brought with it. That's 100% on you for ignoring a well-established and easily provable fact. Calling the Southern Strategy "revisionist history" Jesus....
There are numerous publications written by academics and historians that call into question the Southern Strategy myth as you are presenting it. I'm not going to look them all up but I'll leave one reference here (There are better and more complete discussions, but the NY Times should appeal to liberals). http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/10/magazine/10Section2b.t-4.html

Events happened, sure. But when history books and slanted websites (from any angle) play up some votes and statements (many of which weren't uttered or were misallocated) and ignore many others, then you get mythology rather than history.

You stated MLK was trying to convince blacks to see whites for the content of their character which has to be the most interesting description of his work I've ever read.
and Rosa Parks wouldnt give up her seat in the front for a poor white man either.
