Delicious Bull Tears Mega Thread

And with that logic ...

Ireland should have really sucked because it was even farther away!
Ireland was the greatest experience ever, at least for us.

Sigh, which brings me to ...

Are you saying the Citrus Bowl to Church Street is walkable late at night and a great atmosphere to walk?!

I think you're only digging the hole here if that is the case. ;)

If anything ... this only proves the Citrus Bowl was more like an 'away game,' just one with even more UCF fans than most, actual, away games.'

This is almost exactly like how the Cows talk ... and most are only looking at an OCS because they think it's required for P5. They don't fully get it.

The Citrus Bowl was an away game, fun, but still ... there is just no comparison to an OCS, and all that experience. And I went to the Citrus Bowl for as many years as the Bounce House too ... since '90.
I don’t think I said walk but a 5 minute drive and park in a lot. Compared to 25 minute drive from campus which most people won’t do after a game. I’m not saying driving that far is better. I’m saying as a student it was just as much fun.

I don’t think I said walk but a 5 minute drive and park in a lot.
You didn't. But I did ... to make a point. ;)

I was pointing out how downtown Orlando is nothing like on-campus.

Because we can still drive to Church Street after, it's just a little farther. Even SVP used to make that comment whenever UCF won something. But the fact that you have to get in your car in both cases means ... it's little different.

Compared to 25 minute drive from campus which most people won’t do after a game.
You still have to get in your car and drove over, find a parking spot, park, etc... The added 20 minutes is not that much if you have to do all that.

Now I do get it ... you enjoyed stopping at Church Street to party after a win. That was your thing. There are options near campus too, where you don't need to drive either. In fact, I'd rather do that, than get in my car.

So ... it's your thing. I just disagree with the logic, for myself. Doesn't mean you're wrong, but I think you're not looking at it the same way as some others.

The campus experience has only grown in 15 years of the Bounce House. And with the newer graduates, most don't know what you're talking about. Now I do, but I just see it differently. Church Street is nice ... and can still be done.

But there is enough of a campus atmosphere that might not be Church Street, but it's not that far from it ... in the end. It's just not the Church Street you like, but most of us didn't really didn't do Church Street as much as you did.

I’m not saying driving that far is better. I’m saying as a student it was just as much fun.
Fair enough. But there's a lot more now too ... especially near campus ... than when you or I went.

Let me say, nobody is claiming the CB is a better experience. Full stop.

but for those of us who went to school when we played at CB…those were some fun memories that cant be replicated because it was such a disaster of a stadium.

cant wait to tailgate on the mall this season

And I don't disagree. Some had more fun than other. I kinda loathed the Citrus Dump. It's why I didn't mind upping my donations many times over when the stadium was announced.

I'm sure there are some Cows (even if an order of magnitude less than us, of course) that have fond memories of RayJay too, and they don't know what it's really like to have an OCS ... unless they partied with us, of course.

Plans are moving forward for a football stadium on the University of South Florida’s Tampa campus. But the university’s board learned last week that the project still lacks a price tag and blueprints.

So typical of them to stand around giving themselves high fives and making stupid bull noises before budgeting and finalizing financing.

Between stuff like this and only having a 35k capacity, they are breaking their program even better than Mike Hughes did.

I like how they think that there will be 35,000 cow fans in the stadium and that those fans will be cheering. Opposing teams fans maybe, but not cow fans.

Do Rice and FAU travel well?
I would imagine FAU would travel to Temple Terrace pretty well. Not sure about Rice though. They may have been around for a while but their graduating class is like 20 a semester or something like that so not a ton of alumni... LOL!

I’m uncertain if FAU has established itself with a strong enough fan base yet to travel “pretty” well anywhere.

They may not fill it every game, but even with the weak lineup of opponents, I think an OCS will improve usf's attendance. Easy access and the opportunity to game day party on campus is a draw, at least for the first half of the game. I think they'll experience some of the same issues we did until our student fan base started actually getting more into the games... hard to tear the kids away from the tailgate and get them to their seats for the start of the game, and then them leaving part way through the game. The second part will be even more of a challenge with the combo of uninteresting opponents and not having driven across town to get there.

Their little "We must have cupholders" elitists group may not be pleased with their new little erector set if it actually gets built, but there will be a student population that embraces it and alumni who will think it's a blast to be tailgating and attending games back on campus.

Their crowdfunding efforts are going very well they should reach their $10k goal sometime around 2026.

Anyone happen to have grandparents that live in Temple Terrace? It would be a real shame if the neighborhoods in the surrounding area got together and protested the construction of the stadium...

I’m pretty sure there was like $70 donated and then the Brad dude that runs the site went back and donated again.

Unfortunately, that 25 minute drive back to campus proved fatal for more than a few UCF students.

Forgive me because there is yet another meltdown occurring in the crap pen and it must be in this thread.

They had their own post about Bowman, and for some odd reason thought they would get him. So as realism set in they turned on each other:

OK, with the decision made the fun has begun at the crap pen. One crapper posted the committal twitter with him in UCF gear....smooth move except to the other morons.

Another guy (good realistic poster, not the norm) posted we are going to recruit better than them for awhile. Well that did it...LOL. One of the usual whack jobs jumped all over him, advised him to get some balls in one post, disparaged women in another, called him a boy in a 3rd one.

And I guess Loco Cane posts over there with an alias because he chimes in with "we didn't want him anyway".

Now finally, someone figures their pain will be shortlived I guess because he says Orlando and Tampa will be one big metroplex someday....I imagine they will just claim our accomplishments for themselves.

Good times....

For those who want to watch the trainwreck but don't want to have to slog through the crap ozzing all over their board, you can direct link to it here:

OMG…$470!
Talk about being on life support and needing to pull the plug. They can't even get their often bragged about message board to scrape together enough change for a handful of tickets to Busch Gardens...

Meanwhile, UCF Athletics just received over $5M from a very generous donor!

I love beating them down as much as the next guy, but to all fairness they did have 2 separate donors donate $5mil each towards their OCS, one being the owner of the Lightning. But I do find the paltry $470 from the cowpen hilarious.

Yea, at some point we need to put USF in our rear view mirror. I think this thread will live into 2023, and then deemed historical and sent to the Smithsonian.

I hope not. In a few years the new college kids won’t know them as we move on, but I will always know and strongly dislike them and their fanbase. I still revel in their misery and hope it continues in C-USA 3.0 forever and ever.

This thread has so many lessons learned topics, it should be here forever so we don’t stop moving forward. I look forward to the day we join the 50 team SEC.

usf is a real life retelling of Idiocracy....

Would be ideal if 2023 saw the P5 break away from G5 and forever relegate them to FCS+

I love how they all think they will dominate the new AAC when in reality they haven’t been able to beat anyone outside of Temple and UConn. UTSA and UAB are better than them now and will only get better. They haven’t won anything before and they are one of the worst performing teams in FBS past couple years…the delusion is real out there in West Florida.

They should just shut down the football program and save themselves money they don't have.

[roll] Hahaha they have a new thread about
NCAA Football coming out and how they are reaching out to schools for chants and game day tradition/sounds. This brilliant poster’s response had me chuckle…

My question is, what are USF’s stadium sounds? What chants do you think are going to be in the game?

Next up in the BullsPeedAhead CrapPen (Hey, it's summer and I'm bored):

They can't even get tailgating tents at their local stores and are having to "cowfund" special orders of 12 at a time just to get the canopies. Oh, and some are also a bit miffed they can easily buy UF, FSU and... wait for it... UCF tents in plenty of locations around the greater Temple Terrace area. LOL!

Cows gonna moo.

Well, it's good to know that after nearly 2 decades of not being able to 'find things,' S. Florida fans will soon be able to have not only have just 'custom made' tents by the dozens that take 6-8 months to receive, but ... 'custom made' Conference Championships too ... as EA Sports NCAA Football is coming back. ;)

Even FAU (3) and FIU (1) have found theirs at least once.

S. Florida fans need to look on the bright side after nearly 2 decades of not being able to 'find things' ...

At least they could still have tents custom made by the dozen, and shipped to them 6-8 months later, whereas ...

A Conference Championship is something that FAU and even FIU have found at least once (2010 only for FIU).

Well ... assuming we don't count EA Sports NCAA Football, of course as having one 'custom made.' ;)
Knowing the cows, they would probably try and brag about a #2 ranking for a week in that game too...
