I won't buy into it until they have a firm price and guaranteed financing to pay for it.
That's where I'm at. I think that some of thier administration is more serious this time about building it, but when they see that price tag, everything changes. I think they will have some major problems raising the money.
Keep in mind Miami's MLS team still hasn't started building their stadium yet due to issues that have nothing to do with costs.
They probably will actually get something built but it won't be anywhere near the Taj Mahal they wanted and then they will back pedal and say "this is what we wanted the whole time."

They have already done that with backing down to a high school sized 35,000 capacity. That isn't what P5 conferences are looking for in a new stadium.
Houston may soon have a similar problem with their old stadium.
Reality is going to set in quickly with that 2023 conference slate. You think Ray Jay is empty now?
If they start the year 0-4.. again.. there is no way they get stadium momentum. right? I hope Howard beats them.

I think they are going to build it. the UCF Big12 invite has them in reaction panic mode and they got some boosters opening their wallets . It does show they are not visionaries though , those same boosters were bragging about playing at Raymond James for years and made fun of UCF’s Stadium

There are only fake NCs in college football. Unless you were undefeated, somebody was proved better than you any given year. If you go undefeated, nobody was. UF had some good years and maybe some undefeated (don’t care to research), but at the end of the day a bunch of people went into a room and decided if you were the champion (or in recent iterations if you were in a 2 or 4 team group that could play for it). It’s not an actual valid format for determining a sole championship. Which is why there are claimed championships and some years multiple claims.

The MWC has basically been invisible since 2014.
They were available...as USC/UCLA showed that the Pac 12 had no buyout attached to their conf but thr Big 12...on advice of their tv partners, choose UCF, UH, Cinci and BYU instead.
He had another doozy this morning.
Big 12 is the lowest on the p5 pecking order. Basically the P4 are calling the shots. UCiF, cincy, Houston, TCU, wvu were pulled in from g5 to help them survive. Once OU & Texas leave i don’t see anyone in that conference worth paying attention to. It is only a matter of time before Ok st & Kansas get the call up to the P4. Big 12 Is like a hodgepodge of nonethingness…

This is looking at it from a G5 perspective. Each of these programs was the "the best of the worst" and without the automatic bid none of these teams would have made it. G5 teams with potential. Not just teams that have won lately
Yet UCF and Houston have more BCS/P5 Bowl wins than most P5 teams.
